Battlefield 2042 Beta Helicopter Controls Fixed (BF3/BF4) 

No problem. I was so upset when I couldn't figure out this mess of a control scheme. Even the labels are bugged. Hopefully it'll be straightened out in the main game.

Did you switch your controls to the ones I mentioned in the video? Those should put you back to the bf3 controls. However, you will still take some adjusting because the vehicles in 2042 seem to have more of a weight to them. The helicopters are a little sluggish.

@@MrDionstarrr yes but unlike bf3, when i try toover around the heli just roll and then i have to fly away. And when i pul L2 the heli just dont move properly. In bf3 you could manouver the heli while descending

@@Protonic0 I'm not quite sure what is happening, sorry. When I switched to these controls, I am able to fly exactly how I was in bf3. Did you also turn off the helicopter control assist?

@@MrDionstarrr Yes i did, but if i press L2 to descend then i am unable to controll the pitch and the roll of the heli. If i want to do a flyby ascending i cant because i cant controll the direction of the heli WTF

@@Protonic0 that's very strange. Yours may be bugged out in a different manner and so a different set of control schemes might work for you.

Yes you're not crazy. They have tweaked the rockets. And I'm not sure if they even know that they are off or if thats there design choice. I'm going to be making a video talking about some of the issues that I don't see anyone else talking about.

That's interesting. I only know of Xbox crashing. You might try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Or just wait for the first update.

Now they are sluggish. Almost like they tried to make them have some weight to them. And the rockets don't seem as effective as before in my opinion

Press up in the directional pad. It's a little hard to do since you have to take your thumb off the left stick. Unless you hold your hand in an awkward claw type of posture to press up on the D-pad, L2, and the left analag all at the same time while engaging.

Seems like they are going to far when it comes to coddling new gamers. Needs to be like the old days. Throw them into the deep end, they either swim or sink.

I honestly don't know. But if I had to guess, they are trying to emulate the feel of vehicles having weight and mass to them. No more flying helicopter with extreme precision. It can be figured out with practice though. I've grown adjusted.

@@MrDionstarrr . Worst part is I've paid for it twice.. I bought it for pc then sold my pc and got a ps5 and bought it again... hope they fix it. I can't kill people now. As soon as I start shooting it moves and the lag on elevation is terrible now

@@nubie1100 I did have that issue as well where when I shoot it moves slightly. But they seemed to have fixed that in some patch because I don't experience it anymore. However, the issue I'm having now is that heatseekers will consistently miss little birds who have not deployed flares. The heatseeker will just circle around the little bird before exploding. It happens about 95% of the time. Most little birds I have to shoot with 4-6 heatseekers just to kill them. Very frustrating considering when I'm in the littlebird, every single heatseeker hits me with no issue.

@@MrDionstarrr . I only played last night and it was doing it to me.. granted I'm not used to the ps5 controller yet but it's definitely messed up.. im just going to try all the recommended settings. If not it looks like I'm infantry from now on😪
