Battlefield 2042 Exodus Short Film Reaction 

The main characters of this are PAC and Irish, they were two of the main characters from battlefield 4, we rarely see characters from past titles in the new titles so this was a surprise

So happy to see you guys cover everything for this game, battlefield is my favorite series. Also for reference, the guy who saved irish's son was in his squad back in battlefield 4, they are both returning characters from that games campaign.

This short movie was an emotional roller coaster for me. First we see the return of Irish and Pak, then Pak fucking dies? *Who’s cutting onions…*

Kimble “Irish” Graves, Sergeant…. Irish and pac are main characters in bf4, too sad that pac died in this one, they fought together when they’re marines. What it confuses me is that bf4 i think it was in 2020 and now we’re in 2042 and irish and pac are still fighting, they aged of course but not as much as i expected, and the t rex is a nice callback for bf3

Irish and PAC (the guy that saved him) were 2 main characters from Battlefield 4, so Battlefield 2042 is a sequel to Battlefield 4. The funny thing is that in the second or third mission of BF4, you sneak into a skyscraper and accidentally go to the wrong floor which leads to them shooting a couple chinese soldiers and starting this entire thing. All because we pressed the wrong elevator button😂

As others have said, the guy that saved Irishs kid was Pac, they served as US Marines together in multiple conflicts against both China and Russia under their team leader, Recker. Pac was a fan favorite, seeing him killed just for 2042 is honestly heart breaking.

who came here bcs of Michael K. Willimans death, the protagonist of Irish in-game character ........ We miss you so much brother :( RIP 6.9.2021 :( died at age of 54

You guys are really great at keeping up with all the trailers, thanks for all the reactions! I know you’ve been suggested this a million times already (even by me), but Metal Gear Solid V trailers are a great left field game to react to. If you do, the three trailers you should react to would be the Red Band trailer, the E3 2015 trailer, and the Launch trailer (in that order if you can)! I think the second one has a New Order song in it if you’re concerned about that sorta thing. You guys rule!

You're both right, it's not true that these stories only work as short films. On the contrary, we have games with amazing stories that span hundreds of hours. But then, when movies are made based on the games, it's always people in the movie industry, with at most some light input (which is often promptly ignored) from the actual creators.

Great reaction. One thing to your point about how they can do it so well when movies can mess it up is this is a very simple premise that works to hype the game up for a specific audience. With a movie or tv show its has to be longer and that mean more story in it. What can work for a short film can be tough for a regular audience and it can then can come off as generic. Video games are meant to put you into the seat while movies you more passive. The call at the end that Irish make could be interpreted as us the gamers are answering his call and going to help him out.

It’s a shame they didn’t decide to make a campaign after all of that. It’s the perfect setting to shed light to a devastated world *WE* made. No Pat against No Pat, U.S. versus Russia. It would be a war like no other.

Alllright so the reason why the reason why the two characters seem important is bc they came from battlefield 4 and it completely blind sided Bf players, we weren’t expecting it at all. Also there’s no story mode this time around so there should be more movie like films to give more background and an idea of what 2042 universe is like

I heard the new mode they made this trailer for is going to be based on Escape From Tarkov's style of gameplay, and Tarkov has some great trailers and a movie-esque live action series. You two have said you're a big fan of Tom Clancy's stuff so I think it'd be right up your alley!

I think you guys would like the trailers for Humankind. It’s kind of a mix between Civilization and Endless Space…and the trailers are pretty great. If you group them, I’d recommend the new Launch Trailer, the 2020 Game Awards trailer, and the IGN video “How Humankind Differs From Other Strategy Games. I think you two would have a blast. ^^

The main character is Irish he was in battlefield 4 which the main character was Recker and PAC was considered dead during the game because he got shot by Chinese soldiers during the events of battlefield 4 but I’m glad they brought him back into the fold even though he got shot again by Minigun bullets. Fun Fact : did you know that the minigun was an advanced version of the Gatling gun a 1812 mini gun which was operated by handle and now we have them on fighter jets and transportation choppers like the Apache helicopter and combat specialists who operate them it’s a fun world but they are many dangers like the threat of nuclear war

All I know who did Pac in this trailer is the same actor who was in some of the old Disney films with his two brothers called Jumping Ship. He even played the role of Danno's nephew in Hawaii Five-0.

BATTLEFIELD has no single player, so they are making these kind of stories and make multiplayer a bit of a sort of campaign. this is purely to make a feeling for the characters you can play. also this is a multi million company which can spend some resources to hire and create great people who can build these videos very well.

irish is a legend of battlefield, if you want to know more about him, you should watch the cinematics from battlefield 4 and bad company, battlefield 2042 it's the perfect cannon from them.
