Right. It wasn’t a bad game, sunk countless hours into it but the original marketing was horrendous, that was the downfall of this game

A lot of people hated this game because of the release trailer and other stuff but this game ended up to be one of my favorites and made a lot of good friendships and memories with it

Never thought I’d see a reaction to this in October 2020

I've been wanting to see an ACTUALLY iwo jima veteran react this. But at the same time I don't because it might bring back some unwanted memories.

I actually think this is the best battlefield 5 trailer that came out, especially much better than the launch trailer. In contrast to the other trailers like Rotterdam’s and Mercury, this one actually sounds, looks, and feels like a war where no one is a clear good or bad guy, being clouded up by all the gunfire and the action going on to show both sides loose instead of “German win” or “American win”

4:05 that was so smart, I was thinking the exact same thing the first time I saw this trailer. I haven't seen anyone mention it. You feel like that one person did so much, and dies the next second. It's the same story for all of them

I think many people still underestimate just how effective the Japanese empire was in warfare from a morale standpoint. My Filipino grandfather enlisted in the American Military while the Japanese occupied the Philippines. Just before his death he mentioned that “Throughout history, the Philippine Islands has changed hands and has been conquered by many different countries. The Spanish, Americans, British, etc…. But the Japanese were the only ones that could prowl the jungles as much as we did, and it was on our OWN territory. How the Japanese treated us, how we were shown no mercy. It’s almost as if they enjoyed it. They beheaded your great grandfather because he had been hiding rice under the floorboards for us. We never recovered his body.” I came to find out later on about the Japanese war atrocities. I know that this all happened decades ago and almost all the people who experienced it firsthand are all but long gone. But while Germany now educates their students about their dark history in WW2, it appears that the Japanese government now even refuses to acknowledge their actions as factual, and claims it to be nothing but rumors.

the Pacific update feature in this game is probably the most grounded and realistic battle from the sounds of screaming soldiers in pain to the sound of the heavy artillery that strikes your position. highly recommend you to watch some of Battlefield 1 trailers that take action in Word World 1, and arguably even better as a Battlefield game that's because of its setting old war rules new weapons technology results in Bloodbath

The tank at 1:31 is a T34 Calliope, and the tank at 1:47 is a Sherman Crocodile. I know this video is pretty old but I thought I’d still add something :)

1:47 always like watching the crocodile burn anything in its path. Its a modified version of the sherman tank but instead of tank rounds its filled with fuel just to burn buildings and infantry if anything in its path. I although dislike the shermans the crocodile is kind of cool.

You should also watch the Battlefield 5 elite intros they're basically skins for the game but they have cool backgrounds and looks as well as challenges for unlocks

I have been plating battlefield for 2 years now and i loved battlefield 5 it had so much potential (rip the bugs in the game :( ) and well it GOT cancled which i hate bc i had a lot of potential but i guess it Will be fine and i hope they remake it sometime later and i cant wait for battlefield 6 near october 2021!!!

THIS IS INSANE

You can fire the guns on the battle ships but you can only actually pilot the landing craft.. And getting on those guns is a good way to get sniped by one of the up to 60 enemy players on that map 😜

Definitely not pearl harbor, those helmets were not introduced until very late in 1941, the Japanese were never on the island, the ships that were attacked are not there, and the carriers should be no where near there if it was, its iwo Jima

Dang if you guys could barely handle this there is no way you could watch the pacific.

I have played the pacific maps and you get snipped by people using guilly suits not very enjoyable in my opinion especially on breakthrough on iwo map you get stuck on the first part if the Japanese team is good just like the rest of pacific maps 😔

I loved the look of this game oddly still haven’t played it but didn’t like the augmented arm on the lassie in the release trailer she was in I think can’t remember If she was I just wish women were aloud to fight on the battlefield during ww2 like they can nowadays and trans women and trans men nowadays can serve there country or return to duty after they transition but unfortunately for ww2 the only country that aloud women to serve there country on the actual war front was Russia and nowadays trans women and trans men are met with a lot of hate anyway I’m getting a little off topic the augmented arm looks a bit too primitive well given it’s supposed to be placed during ww2 i shouldn’t be surprised but I still didn’t like it for that reason

This is old trailer 😭😭😭 I tell u this is not real games. My favorite Battlefield 3 is realistic and best game of year than BF4 and BF5 they changed disrespect to me. My remind i love how jet/plane or any bomb on ppl can die than BF4-5 to bomb ppl did not die and hurt. PC game called Squad and AMRA3 is real game Thunder A-10 2 Drop a big bomb can kill ppl than BF4 Plane 2 drop at bomb did not kill ppl cause MEME J. Jonah Jameson is LAUGHED. Reason I hate BF EA Why They EA and Dice dumb idea make a new games of BF4/5 ppl low damage is terrible happened same Star Wars BF2 disrespect low damage they never dies.
