Ya me too. I love the videos so much. I still go back and watch them. I think it was Ravic who showed me how to use the AT4, TOW, and SRAW. My first youtube video has some clips that I wouldn't have made without him. Same thing for my .44 Magnum. I miss those days.

I mean the changes to Conquest being sectors now gives off Planetside 2 vibes so we shouldn't really be surprised.

@@Ravic have you used the Helicopter version? This video is sick, insane skill with the TOW! I was convinced the TOW was trash, but clearly it's me 😅

@@michaelwilcox630 Oh the TOW in this version of Battlefield is pretty bad. I talked about it in the video description but it really is one of the worst versions and needs significant changes to make it useable to the majority player base like in previous Battlefield games.

The driver operated ones work the same way as smart rockets do on the apache and super hokum

I mentioned in the video description that the TOW missile in this game isn't in a great state, all you can really do right now is practice and try to make the best of it. Also it tends to fly off in crazy directions when the missile itself has gone passed whatever object or thing the reticle is highlighting or overlapping. What that means is if a tower, building, or tree blocks the line of sight of the reticle the rocket will try to turn around and hit that object because it already flew passed it.

Two things to keep in mind with the TOW. One is the missile will try to go to wherever the reticle/crosshair is pointing or overlapping. So if you are shooting at a target far off and the missile is already some distance away but you accidently move the reticle so that it overlaps an object closer to you than the target the missile will turn around ( if it's past the object already ) and try to reach where the reticle is pointing at even if it's now behind it. Basically this means if you wanted to you could shoot a TOW missile passed a building and then have it hit the backside of the building with proper reticle/crosshair placement. Keeping that reticle issue in mind other thing to be aware of is you should be focusing you attention on the actual TOW missile or projectile while it's in the air. Watch where it's going and move you're mouse or thumbstick to guide it but keep you eyes on the missile so you know where it's going with your movement. Short version to this is trying to make sure you have the projectile/missile in your view overlapping whatever target you are trying to hit. @@soup8977 A tow missile either from an IFV or an emplaced turret does 60 damage to a transport chopper in BF4, and will cause a mobility hit. Attack and scout choppers die in one hit from a tow missile, but not a tank shell regardless of the kind (all shells do 90 damage, critical mobility hit, put on fire)

The US Condor(Transport Aircraft), same applies to the Russian Superhind in terms of damage.

Transport aircraft, as far as I know the US version takes four TOW missiles total to destroy, it's a pain.

Once you get used to it, you don't miss that many shots. As seen in the clips where he hits multiple times in a row.

Do you remember the original SRAW from BF4? The one before it got gutted by CTE? You can use the TOW missile in this game in a similar way where you shoot it passed an object and bring the rocket/missile back so it hits the backside of the object. For example if you are down below a building and you know a player is hiding on the roof you can shoot it passed the roof of the building and bring back down by moving the reticle of the TOW below the roof so it's on the side of the building making it so the rocket tries to reach it from the other side or roof side. Although you'd probably have to direct impact the enemy to kill them as the splash damage is quite low.

It's still pretty bad, I have a 3090 and 12900K which is basically just the right amount of cores for BF2042 and they are fast cores.

I mean the old AT4 tutorial I have on this channel is still a decent simple guide to "wire-guided" rocket launchers in Battlefield games. But I don't have anything specific for the TOW missile in BF2042 and I imagine it will probably change at some point for this game because its current form is pretty weak and in most situations useless. It's a novelty weapon in the game currently. Anyways I mentioned wire-guided in quotes because they're never really that in Battlefield games but instead a form of laser guiding because the rocket/missile will always try to get to wherever the reticle is pointed at. So if you fire the TOW missile off passed and object you can make the missile turn around and come back at you by overlapping the reticle on something behind it or closer to you than the missile. The shot at 3:40 is an example of this where I missed by guiding the missile at the chopper so I tried to recover by keeping the reticle on the chopper which caused the missile to circle around it as it tried to reach wherever the reticle was pointed.

@@Ravic so its basically pount and hold...could you essentially shoot straight up and over a wall in front if you by aiming at the wall

@@wiccanring777 I don't recommending holding the trigger as that stops it from reloading the next missile ( no idea why they did it that way ), so fire it and just guide it with your mouse movement or joystick movement and focus on where the projectile itself is and where you want it to go not where your reticle is unless you miss and want to try to force the missile to turn around. To have it hit the other side of a wall you'd have to fire it above the wall so the missile travels passed it and then bring your reticle down onto the part of the wall you want it to hit from the other side. You can't really continue to guide it if the wall is blocking your line of sight or the reticle. Like Hollywood movies and laser guiding, if the laser is on a target a couple hundred meters away and the missile is already on the way and then you stick your hand in front of the laser it will now track to your hand.

@@Ravic i guess keeping the missle in line with the target is the pain in the ass i struggle with. Depth isnt easy to conpare distance from you to rocket, from target to you to rocket. Like...how far away between soace is from rocket to target . Always gets me

@@wiccanring777 Like I said I expect it to change at some point because its current form is pretty weak. The missile's flames and projectile don't really scale like they are supposed to over distance so it's hard to gauge its distance vs target distance. Its responsiveness or turn speed is also weak compared to aircraft maneuverability in this game.

I hate how the guns look like they're shooting people in the head because enemies don't die. Infantry would totally die but they're able to walk away with a few damage.
