Battlefield 2042 Vs Call of Duty Vanguard - Attention to detail & Graphics Comparison 

Conclusion: Both franchises are evolving, just backwards.

you can throw back nades in 2042, just not your own. i have done it many times and it has saved me a lot.

You can tell 2042 was supposed to a lot bigger than it ended up being. There's always a mid development push in the wrong direction that sends the whole thing tumbling to the ground.

I’m surprised they didn’t add the detail from BF1 where when you throw a grenade near your character he starts to panic when you walk away

Wow, BF2042 really had potential to be a legendary game. It’s a shame they fumbled the bag though.

Earlier - BF wins or CoD wins, or sometimes both games wins Now - Both games are shit. The state of AAA games nowadays.

2042 was a bit of a letdown in some aspects, the revolver was kinda cool though

the problem with a comparison like this is that with bf2042 being "futuristic" some details could be missing on purpose

I prefer battlefield 2042 as a game and not Vanguard, not for graphics or details, but I have several games from the call of duty series But I find them almost all the same for the gameplay, between Cold War and Vanguard in my opinion the game is the same is in fact I prefer cold war because the games of the second world war I prefer them on a large scale as a battlefield V.

A cool detail most of reviewers forget is gunplay realism, for example in cod it doesn't matter whether you reloaded your mag fed weapon with some bullets still in it or without any, in BF2042 you have one additional bullet if you reload while not having a dry gun, which is a cool detail as cod doesn't seems to get this part about gun, that as long as you don't run it dry it'll have one bullet still in chamber

Funny how games like BF2042 have some insane details like your ability to pet your useless metal dog or the guy sneezing when you go afk but lack basic features like fking scoreboard or not having game breaking glitches

Sound: bf 2042, vanguard sounds design were very weak Animation: Vanguard, bf 2042 animation were really stiff Details: bf 2042, even though it's downgraded from BF V or even BF 4 Conclusion: No one wins, both are shit in their own way. Triple A gaming nowadays was a joke

Man the modeling of the characters in Vanguard looks super detailed and very realistic, while 2042 somehow looks pretty cartoony with how stiff they are. I guess it fits since they went for a more "Haha war is fun" kind of ambiance to it.

In terms of the hit Mark's on vehicles, the comparison is a bit flawed. This is because the vehicle used in 2042 was a useable one whereas in vanguard it is a stationary fixed obstacle in the map and therefore I think its game code means the detail would not occur. But other than that good vid!

My problem with rocket launchers in Battlefield is that they show no penetration, just a fading basic circle, and if they added aspects of penetration and what not I think the game would be more balanced, maybe even different shell types, idk, personal opinion.

Even bfv would be a better competitor for Vanguard.

Don't ever pretend like 2042 will get better after a few months. All of the OG DICE workers from BF3-BF5 have left the company. The franchise is toast.

Barrel smoke: If your gun is smoking like THAT after only ~50 bullets, i have bad news for you... 1:24 Casings hitting a wall: For a fair comparison, both games should be tested on an equal surfice. 1:53 Used ammo: Cool but i would rather have less bugs. 2:21 Hitting tanks: Power of Frostbite i guess. 2:49 Throwing back grenades: In Battlefield you can not throw your own grenade again. 3:36 Making craters: Again, Frostbite. 4:59 Destroying part of the maps: Frostbite. 6:30 Closing one eye while ADS: Its actually stupid. 7:00 Reloading animations: Dont do tha..! In 2042, they put the detail into guns, vehicles and characters but they forgot about putting detail into the map "The Russians are well dug in" yet we see no gun emplacements nor any sand bags

Since there are not drivable tanks in Vanguard, I wouldn't expect to get a hit marker on an environmental element, such as that tank you shot there.

The destruction system in Vanguard is pathetic. It is literally just so that they can market it as a "new feature" to make people think that they actually added something new and innovative. In reality, you can just shoot or run through like 2 walls on a map and that's it.

I do like battlefield attention to detail and it’s a shame vanguards missing a lot of that. But at core battlefield would be required to have more detail given the scale of the battles you are bound to have quieter moments allowing you to really look at your environment and load out. Tho vanguard is mostly close quarters with little to no break in combat so unless in private match this stuff would really matter that isnt to say there is no detail in vanguard such as walls being destroyed and cracked during matches making it feel more like a battle. I don’t know why I wrote this it’s just coming to the conclusion that both games are good in there own way and for what they are.

I find it interesting the attention they put in some details, but totally forget about others one.

The one eye thing is actually more unrealistic. You can aim down sights with both eyes open. And many experience shooters recommend it because you see more, like people advancing on you that aren't visible down sights

With the bullet casings bouncing off of a surface when standing next to it, CoD MW2019 had that detail as well. I think cold war had it as well but not sure

I can see why vanguard doesn’t have a lot of detail , they tried making it a small game so people can install it without deleting something

Battlefield: Doesnt put finger on trigger until ready for use Vanguard: Puts finger on trigger at all times Pretty cool detail.

Fun fact: the revolver in vanguard its cylinder(if that's what it's called, I forget), with the trigger effects on, moves with the player's trigger as they press it. Pressing it before it fires and letting go of the trigger causes the hammer to stay in place, giving the trigger less resistance to pull.

Tbh most of these details passes unnoticed when we're actually playing the game. So in the end if the gameplay is fun, none of them makes any difference.

physics and graphics looks amazing in BF 2042 . Vanguard looks horrible

Fun fact, actual soldier dont close one eye when looking through a scope. They learn to have one eye focus on the target through the scope and one on target besides the scope to not be limited by the tunnelvision effect that comes with a scope

2042 and vanguard are all letdowns

Realism is really wrong in context with those two games…

Vanguard Graphics Are Amazing!

kinda ironic isn't it especially in aiming while reloading in 2042 you only use iron sight while in 1940s you already have holos hehehehe

Two things I will say is that 2042 you can throw Grenades back, just enemy grenades. And the second thing is understanding that bullet shells hitting a concrete wall is gonna sound exactly the same as hitting the also concrete ground. So saying that vanguard has more in depth bullet sound effects of casings because hitting a thin sheet metal wall sounds ten times different than hitting a concrete wall and ground is a bit false.

See how vanguard feels like a totally different game from MW2019

7:20 magazines were boku expensive in WW2, you'd not want to throw them out regardless if you were a soldier back then. that's what stripping clips were for. you could get into serious trouble if you lose attendance of even a single magazine in the time period mags are cheaper now-a-days however it's still a good idea to keep a few empty mags in the event of finding loose ammunition since magazines are a good way of packing ammunition for carrying or just to have a magazine to strip a round from so full mags can always have an extra round in the chamber if one botches a tactical reload. if luls in the fighting do occur it's nominal to use stripper clips to quick-ally reload magazines with special adapters. i have some experience using SKS Clips (ironically no SKS to use with it) to Load up 7.62x39 magazines for quick prep during packing for target practice. it's only a few extra grams of metal strips that are more carry ready than a cardboard box of loose ammo Tip for using SKS Clips; Don't overload and use full length, AK mags require momentum for that satisfactory smooth stripping. 11th round isn't worth the loss of speed. I find satisfaction in practicing, even video games bore me enough into it. both sides of my family Had mechanics including a WW1 Tank Mechanic and WW2 and Korean war Plane Mechanics ignoring that they did mechanic work once they moved back to civilian life. it's no wonder that there wouldn't be an interest in firearms running in the family. one of the Korean war mechanics ended up adopting Gunsmithing as a hobby after dropping a P-51 Mustang Propeller on his foot at the very start of the war being discharged at roughly the same time as his contemporary on the other side of the family line.

The thing with buying vanguard this year is you knew what you were going to get, the regular arcade shooter game, but when i bought 2042 i thought and was told that it was going to be the greatest battlefield game ever but it was absolute trash.

Has Dice fixed the revolver so that it loads all 6 rounds with 1 reload yet? (It acts like every other gun, 1 in the chamber that needs to be reloaded twice for a full mag + chambered round)

It's funny to see those companies have a few folks who really love developing games. Both games are trash and the companies who own those games should find failure.

It’s not a cartridge but the primer attached to the brass shell casing which house the powder followed by the round or bullet itself

the saving a half full magazine animation in vanguard is still unrealistic at guns like the StG44 because it always reloads to 30 instead of 31 because of the 1 round in the chamber

Как только я тогда запустил Бэк Компани 2 всё поменялось) Когда есть бф1, бф4 и 3 и как ни странно, с последней батлой, это бф5, зачем колда нужна мне лично не понятно.

Id love if rockets hitting an armored target left a hole in the armor that would allow you to shoot the drivers and gunners out or throw a base in ect

I like to believe in both games while he was doing some of these demonstrations his teammates were furious he wasn't helping in the coms

You don’t see hit marks on tanks in cod because they weren’t meant to be destructible for competitive reasons

No matter which game has better detailes, both are absolute garbage.

Not a true battlefield OG as I started during the early days of Battlefield 4 (if anyone remembers launch, I was alongside you guys.) I went to a friend’s house to play 2042 on his beefy 3060 and I have to say. I’d play battlefield 3 & 4 any day on my Xbox one which is on life support currently (exaggeration) because it’s just much better. Gun play, graphics hold, etc. I am glad I didn’t buy 2042. While there is bias, if you just compare what both games have there are some upsides to 2042, the issue is the downsides compared are too large to justify buying the game. If I got a series X and needed to buy a new disc for battlefield 4 I would spend that money in a heart beat.

i think i got an explanation for the guns in BF2042 about the smoke barrel, its 2042.. even the sights have a wifi connection, i can guessed myself that almost all the guns have a advance cooling system for the barrel xD

Battlefield2042 has good graphics, and good details, but vanguard has some good details, but battlefield wins in my opinion.

We dont need our games to be so much real to enjoy it Man its just about have fun and kill some time

You can change your weapon in Vanguard, but you cant in 2042.

Battlefield is always better than COD when it comes these stuff but this year both games have awful gameplay

Here is the thing, most of the time you really don't want to touch a granade that have been throw, you don't know when is gonna explode, usually you run away from the explosion range and take cover, It is safer than just grab it and throwing away, sure you can do that, but you need to be very Brave, Hopeless or stupid, what ever is the situation (obsulsy in a real situation, but it makes sense to me in the games to)

For the lmg smoke. The M249 is vent cooled so the heat can ecit through those holes

0:05 The MG42 is extremely old and uses an barrel wich lets the smoke directly out, the 2042 MG is newer and doesnt use said barrel. 2:56 You can actually throw grenades back just not your own

BattleField-2042 When some walls/garage doors (or other stuff too) get effected from the explosions, it destoyed and destructs like from rainbow Six Siege ( SOme of them does the destroying in Battlefield 2042. ( i might be wrong. Sorry if i am wrong )

2:24 Why was this detail brought up? Some of the vehicle in Vanguard don't do anything and the ones that do do something, jump 1.5 feet in the air while erupting into flames.
