This time i was playing against an old dogfighter called skyb0ss, we both havent really got the opportunity to practice during summer so we both are still alittle bit rusty as you could see at some points but it was still a really nice match, i enjoyed it!

Reading comments shows how clueless people are of what's going on. I would destroy people on public servers, highest kill streak of 167 in jet, yet I would get completly wrecked by these two.

At first it seems like they're just going in circles but when you start playing there's a lot more to it than you think. There's a huge skill gap in dog fighting. I could never beat some dog fighters as much I tried.

I find it facinating how people find these sub categories in games and whole communities of players build around them. Like bunny hopping in counter strike games and dog fighting in battlefields.

The best games have the potential for communities to be built in different areas of the game. It's a shame the dogfight community was never that large in comparison to communities such as bunny hopping etc

@@EDMango I haven't touched the latest BF or any BF in fact for a long time so can't really comment on how the planes are, this video just got recommended to me. When modern BF returns, maybe it could rise again. I don't mind a change in physics, the issue with the new planes from what I've seen seem to be that they've made the planes turn and stall like snails because they're older generation planes and to reduce the skill gap maybe.

If y'all never fly a jet on BF3 or BF4 u don't get the point of this videos, yoo regular player that saying it isn't pro, just try to DF him 😉 this thing is minority things on battlefield (dogfight) not much ppl understand what is going on there, thats why player that can Dogfight on BF is special person, maybe smarter then you all 😉 gg

Well. If you wouldnt the enemy would easily turno on you and kill u after 10 secs max... The one who turns faster and has the better decision making when cutting the oponnent wins. Its hard to explain to some1 who just flys the jet in public and doesnt know how to df. There is more tactic and cleverness involved as it may seem and its incredibly hard to learn :-). (Sry for bad englando)

Where I lose my grip is when I supposively hit the other jet and it has that huge lag moment and it throws me off. And the only thing i struggle with is maintaining speed in 3rd person.

to a noob, this might seem like "looping" but its a game of deception, fooling the other pilot with multiple switches in direction, when the camera angle of the enemy goes away from your plane its time to act. you cant win by "looping" around in a ring, unless the other pilot is beginner

Psh! You sir, I can't even find quality words of how to insult you. I'm not some ChristStrawHat fanboy but I have seen his skills and he is a excellent pilot as well. I am not sure how well he is compared to 1irontjunfisk but he was getting trained (I know how cheesy that sounds) in BF3 dogfighting by a super good dogfighter, I forget his name sadly but anywho, Chris probably wouldn't lose so badly as you make it sound. Basically, Chris has skill. He does also not 'suck ass'. Take care sir! :)

I see the need for dogfighting, imo that still doesn't excuse pilots who do nothing else but dogfight for the entire round, i.e. "all game". Still think the best pilots are the ones who find time both to dogfight and attack ground targets, b/c if a pilot can't win dogfights quickly and get them over with then he's wasting the potential of jets against ground targets. It's not dogfighting in itself that's bad, it's pilots that dogfight all game that are bad.

(Sorry for the late reply) Mate, it's not about skill. It's about helping your team and winning the game. Yeah, dogfighting takes skill, you can't deny that, but when that's all a jet pilot does when he's in the sky that doesn't win games. So that's my problem with dogfighting. Do it, as long as you don't do it for the whole round and chip in on ground targets when you can, doing what you can to help out your team and win the round (not get good kd). THOSE are the pilots I respect.

dude... ChrisStrawhat is a pub pilot... He's not into Dogfights and he would stand any chance against a flabslab guy... You can ask Chris himself ;) Write him a pm on yt... he will answer you, believe me. Chris speed control is not really good and also his manouvering isn't very good... He's just a pub pilot and for pub servers it is ok... But if 1ron, kake, padski and so on would join that pubserver, he would definitly not stand a chance.

Tjunfisk you said on twitch-tv that you was one of the best pilot in the world and those days are over. I think you are wrong this just a game not a sport and you still young, I know you using mouse and keyboard, how about try to use joystick like Padski and other guys in flabslab. Get special pilot joystick learn it well and who know's maybe you will be number 1 pilot in the World.

they played many hours in jets thats why they are so high in jets leaderbord. This dont mean that they are good as other pilots like irontjunfisk ho is real pro. Me to... i have also several hours on air but im not so good like him but its pleasure to fight against them because im learning from them...thats not a shame..some players are better than others in different thinks..By the way irontjunfisk is a real skilled pro pilot.

I can tell that you're a little rusty still as I noticed some pretty big mistakes you made. The manoeuvre your oppoent did where he slowed down for you to go right past him was really cool and it's the first time I see it being used in dogfights other than by myself lol. And also this game is sooo much smoother on the PC than the PS3 it's crazy I wish I had a better computer... :/ Greetings from one swedish pilot to another :D

You don't play competitive do you? The only good pilots in competitive gaming, are th best dogfighters. If you cannot dogfight, you will not stay in the air for long. Dogfighting comes first, because you need to secure your safety in the air, since the jet is one of the most powerful vehicles in the game. That is why dogfighting is WAY more important than fighting ground. Raping ground with a jet is extremely easy, it takes no skill at all. Staying in the air due to enemy jets is the hard part.

alright for 1 a full loop start is when u guys pass each other to start the df and u both do a loop and meet at the top and then the bottom and then the df starts if u dont get it nvm 2nd loops r 1 of the best defensive moves u can make much harder to maintain speed than circles and if a pilot cuts inside u can counter that easy

Some pilots lose it faster than others. For example if i take a break from dogfighting my skill lvl drops drastically really fast. So i have to keep my skill up by practising alot, which ofcourse is not a bad thing for me because i like dogfighting. :) But in Tjunfisks case if you say he is at the same lvl as he was before when he still dogfought recularly you are all wrong.

you don't really lose your dogfighting skills just because you don't do regular dogfights, look at kakeninja hes a beast and he doesn't dogfight at all anymore since the flabslab tournament. tjunkfisk is way better than chris sturdy and burrem, yes i know all the pilots are great but tjunkfisk is a better dogfighter

good music, Im glad im not the only one who uses ecm jammer. I noticed that to turn quick you use the boost in short bursts trying to stay on each others tail. Does anyone know of a way I can incorporate this technique to the ps3 or what it would look like on the controller? You physically have to push in the stick used to manuver so I imagine it's not the easiest.

Again, dogfighting required skill, ground rape not. If a pilot can dogfight, he sure as hell can attack ground... And when there are no enemy jets, he must attack choppers and then ground. Best pilots are the best dogfighters, since they win dogfights AND rape ground afterwards. And you will only see dogfight-only in pubs or ladders, but pubs dont matter.

Because they don't know better. Yes it is annoying but you can't blame them for not knowing. Only dogfighters can see details like maneuvering errors or speed fails.Chris knows he is not the best and that's what counts. And just to inform you flabslabbers are not gods either :)

If you fly in 1st person in dogfights you loose, instantly. (if you dont, the pilot you are against just barely know how to keep the plain in the air) And speed is just as important as maneuvers, because you need to keep the loop tight, to be able to switch

heres a cool trick if ur being chased and cant shake them turn sideways then go down instead of pulling up like most ppl do, then turn it around and go to ground lvl, since ur under radar the other jet can't detect u then u pop up behind him and kill him

Jet attacking ground = no skill. Jet dogfighting requires a lot of skill if you fight against good pilots. Your comment = pathetic try for being "smart". Besides, this is a 1v1 jet (dogfight) ladder match where the best pilots dogfight.

This highlights what I hate about Jet vs Jet combat in BF3, endless circling for minutes until someone makes a slight error with brake turning or you just get bored and fly off to die or bail out... I wish there was something that could be done :S

I think Chris is more of a pub player.Skyboss is a 1v1 beast.Did you see his "Versus the #1 and #2 players in the world" and think he was God?Those guys get shit on everyday.Chris is still beast, but Skyboss is ESL beast.

There are many more dogfighting maneuvers than just flying in a loop... If that were the case then the more maneuverable fighter would win 99.9999% of the time, but that certainly is not true.

but the speed of professional dogfighters is noramally the same. Speed control is easy when you only fly loops and stay in the cockpit viem, doing manuevers is everything in a dogfight

Most Pro Pilots use the Rudders very much. Irontjunfisk, can u describe the excact reason of using the rudders? I learning much about Dogfight, but i cant imagine why I should use yawing while dogfighting.

Doing a full loop against decent pilots is pure suicide. Full 90 degree loop wouldn't help at all,because a decent pilot can easily cut inside...

Because he lost at the point where his jet was disabled so it is faster to die and spawn in a new jet rather than run to the jet.
