I used to play Battlefield when I was younger (unable to play online) but eventually moved onto other things. I had been playing COD for years as well and considered myself a fanboy of that. When BF3 came out it was one of those gamble purchases that you don't know how it will turn out. GOD DAMN have I been missing out. The intensity, team work, visuals, real strategy! I introduced it to my friends who are COD players and I can already tell it's starting to take hold of them . . . : )
@CaptFwiffo Guarantee you this was either 360 or PS3, both of which have reduced graphics on the frostbite engine as compared to the PC. The only official trailer release from Dice containing console footage at the time of writing this, is the commentaries they did, and the Operation Guillotine trailer. The others were done on PC, hence the visual difference. High five for knowing things!
@TheUsmc29 1. go to multiplayer; 2. check the multiplayer options, hardcore is one of them, rush is one, north america is one. there is a whole lists of server options to check in multiplayer when you are searching for a server.
@DylanZeNinja i'm glad to hear it, because i'd just love being able to get onto a tall building and seeing the battle from the skies and being able to give my team an ''uphand'' advantage.
hold the thumbstick to hold breath and go for head shots or heart shots true snipers do that plus try to find a not noticable sniping spot only 15 to 40 feet away from the objective. Also if ur a true sniper u can sneek ur way behind enemy lines in the spawn and snipe them but pick a spot that fits with the attackers position in other words if ur team attacks towards the right snipe from the far left that way when people look for they will suspect ur sniping from where there pushing
@DavidTheCatholic well, for the beta, this gametype and map are the only ones available. but when the full game comes out on the 25th, there will be loads of gametypes (including a team death match) as well as other maps to play on.
I hate how people compare how realistic BF and CoD are. Neither are realistic -_- Just the fact that your character usually stays alive for a few minutes shows it. Real soldiers don't run around being that nuts and never get that close to the enemy. They're just fun games, geez.
@FinMilkku i don' t really know, i think they are two different games really. one is a fast paced solo multiplayer, the other is a team based, slightly more strategical shooter. however they are both quite good, and halo isnt bad either.

i have always been a cod fan. I got this game and i was amazed by how real everything was. I was a little disapointed when the game wouldn't connect to the server the first day. Im sure it will be fixed soon

@capuyoloco I'm playing BF3 beta and what your saying is wrong, acog is just one of the scopes, there is thermal scope, a red dot sight, holographic scope, and many types of scopes that magnify from 1x till 12x. My fav. for the sniper rifles is the 8x, 12x is bad in close combat....
I played BF Bad Co. 2 and i LOVED it. Great game and a refreshment from the CoD MW series. Is it better than MW? No. Is it worse? No. I really can't compare the two games like that because they are so different. Pre-ordered both; can't wait.
@Pontiac2322 It's just as easy to dropshot in this game as it is in CoD (with Tactical button settings)...actually a little bit harder because your gun stops shooting sometimes while you're on the way to prone.
@Ringnes85 So true. Cod MW3 looks just the same as the last games and the fact that they brought quick scoping back doesnt help them. Battlefield 3 is a far more advanced game indeed as it considers all the things you said, thats why I play it :)
@Linu595 thats not true. i mean CoD 4, WAW, Bops, MW2 are all very different games. its true MW3 is a little bit like MW2.5 if you know what i mean ;). but still. if you think about it, is the difference between Battlefield games, bigger that between CoD games? i don't think so. either way i love both games.
@CaptFwiffo Precisely, especially with the intense destruction capability handled by the frostbite engine, and the phenomenally high poly count character models, not to mention the beautifully fluid and captivating animations. If they didn't step the graphics down for the 360 and PS3, five something year old machines, we'd have to sacrifice those and other game play aspects for graphics. That's not a worthwhile trade for me, I'd rather have a damn good game look decent.
@misterpimp666 i didnt say camp in the back i said stay 20 to 40 feet away from the ACTION that means if the team is attacking A depending on the map stay 20 to 40 feet away from it and snipe and i play cod games and im a beast by myself and with A partner but why are we arguing on youtube unless this is a friendly discussion then lets continue this debate
@pyscokill0r Yeah it's true the PC version is newer than the consoles, but I don't think I could cook any grenades. Maybe you could cook grenades before but they removed the ability to do so for one reason or another (because of the date that says June at the time the vid was uploaded).
@chezchez31 yes i know BF and CoD are very different games. i have both, and i play both. but about the thing that people play in a team in BF.. they actually do not anymore. People play solo in BF. ( except in vehicles ). people do not even play in a squad anymore. they only use squads for spawning directly into action, so they don't have to walk so much. Halo players on the other hand still play in teams. usually.
@L0r1T0 I used to play modern warfare 2 only, but now im only playing the BF3 beta. Im still gonna both BF3 and MW3. I think both games are great as they are. It's nice to have 2 kinds of gameplay you know.. why change that?
Because games don't need to be realistic at all (being realistic and fun is cool and all but still) I would LOVE to see a game from EA with a Battlefield-like Engine that is Multi-player ONLY where you can either be a wizard, archer, soldier, modern-day soldier/ etc. And when you are a regular soldier or a wizard you can ride or control different DRAGONS. And fight on castles. Wizards obviously would cast spells, archers shoot arrows and throw knives/stab, soldiers go all out with armor/swords.
@TheINEXclan you got to remember that the beta on xbox is just there to test the servers mainly the finally release is gunna be much better! you really think they are going to release a fully polished version on beta er i dont think so so dont panic lol
@DavidTheCatholic well, on this map, the main buildings that you have to progress to have ways in, plus they have 3 stories with good sniper positions.
People that talk down to battlefield series that play call of duty are blind to see the strengths and weaknesses of each game. Battlefield is more realistic. plain and simple it is more like real life as far as physics, visuals, sounds, guns, etc. Call of Duty on the other hand is more like a game. Almost like tournament paint ball you just run around and have fun. Both games are very fun but they are just different.
both games are good for different people, but imo mw3 is basically an expansion pack for mw2. i can see why some people like cod, it's super fun and a great game, but if I bought it i'd feel like I just got conned out of 60 bucks. the graphics and physics haven't changed at all since mw2, hell the menus still look the same, except that they're gray now. on the other hand, it's easy to tell that DICE put a ton of work into bf3, it's stunning how realistic the game looks. but hey to each his own.
the reason there are so many views is because this was released during the alpha beta test, and if the bf3 team found your video they would disable your key rending you unable to play, so to protect his account, he blacked out his name and the others so noone could tell who he was.
i actually like cod since it is more simple and is more based around the individual rather than the team. My problem with battlefield is that it takes forever to find somebody but the graphics are so much better.
@osskeet Yeah, it take a long time to get two days of play time for anyone. What im saying is to unlock everything in Mw3 MP it will take 2 days play time, if its anything like mw2. To unlock everything in bf3 it will take years of play time, according to Dice. Basically, mw3 will last me 3 months max, bf3 will last me forever. Also, I dont like spending money to play online, which is the case with mw3.
