@@codyyoung5946 On a serious note, eastern front veterans actually got moved to other theaters a lot. In fact a part of the reason the battle of Kursk was a loss for the Germans was due to the fact that Hitler pulled units that were either present or in position to support away to shore up Italy against the Americans and British.

Not to mention the fact he was actually bending over the turret. How he wasn't killed immediately is baffling as it is tbh.

The fact that the explosion threw her was enough for me. A grenade doesn’t throw you. It throws shrapnel and blows your ears from the pressure change. A grenade has also been proven multiple times that it is not able to cause a chain reaction with other explosives.

Jackson Pettit same but the BF1 ANZAC campaign was quite pitiful and was the most inaccurate thing. But still it would of been great to see some Anzac war story in Singapore, Northern Africa or New Guinea from BF5
All of these endings are imo anti climactic and pretty bad... especially Nordlys. It hurts me to say it, because I've wanted a norwegian story from ww2 for a long time, but in this one they missed a huge oppurtunity

Yea that bugs me as well why a German officer that is awarded with a knights cross would not just kick that grenade in the water. That officer must have been in alot of combat to get that knights cross anyway since he have had to get the 2nd and 1st class cross before he could've gotten the knights cross. But you know the Germans had stormtrooper aim and the mentality of a toddler.
Why isn't there a Papua new guinea or the defence of Tobruk these battles that weren't too big but had interesting stories is what I'm after. Not this shit were they make the allies look like godly war heros.
I know I’m 2 years late I’m sorry but I want to mention that while I like how this game has a German point of view campaign we also need a Chinese ww2 point of view campaign in a future game they never get mention ever despite being a main allied power

Greeks who had beaten Italy forcing Germany to help them, and with that delaying their invasion on Russia ( which is one of the reason why Gemrany lost ) is bad idea? When “weak” Finlnad defeated Russia 1 vs 1. They could make story about “White Death”! And it would be so much better bfv story. 3. So wait. Invasion on Poland. 1939, it less important war you? Starting of the war? Idk, Story about young Polish soldier, figthing Germans, slowly retreating in hope for France and Uk to help, only to realize that Russia stabed you in back. Last mission could be last stand against Russians and Germans soldiers. 4. Yugoslavia, have you any ide how much people died in occupation? How big Resistance was in there? Poland had the biggest one, France also. But they gave sth about Norwey, after deafeted Norwey collaborated with Nazi, Yugoslavia and Poland never did that
The campaign of this game was overall short, even with the upcoming last tiger but it promises many things like its 3rd story. I hope it adds more unique stories for free.

All of the battlefield games are known to NOT have limbs blown off by explosives, especially in BF1’s multiplayer with the amount of grenade spam, you’d expect body parts everywhere, but nope, just magnificent corpse launches
I don't know why we can't play as the germans, it's always the fucking same, here they have a grandspanking new opportunity to maybe allow us to play as germans but instead they just make us play as little resistance groups or allied soldiers but they've been missing out one of the most important countries, the germans! Disappointing

Approximatly 30% of the german people voted for the nazi party in the 1930s. That leaves a wopping 70% that didn't want the nazis. Yet they still had to go to war when Hitler attacked Poland. The last tiger is according to the devs "not a story about heroes", so I doubt they will backstab their country. They will just talk moral filosofy in the tank, I suppose
I still don't expect that it would blow off the head. There can be a cracks but it won't pop the entire head off onto a different place. Plus the gun powder are in cases. Another thing is that the guy used an MK 2 grenade. It doesn't create a huge fireball. It just spits out shrapnel.
What about D-Day, Battle of Stalingrad, Pacific Campaign, Invasion of Poland - Katyn Massacre, Dunkirk Evacuation. If EA really want to make the game as touching and deep like Battlefield 1 they could've included at least 2 of those ideas
There's actually a lot of opinions whether French pulled them out because of race issues or not, since the official reason (or at least it seemed official) was that they were strange to that region, and had to rest after long times of fighting.
Partly to that but also because these were men akin to fighting in their respective region, and thus not properly acclimated to the forests and plains of France. However the topic is so trivial because they were fighting in the summer and fall. Don’t forget colonial troops were never really held in high esteem by top command in any military. They were usually the ones given the most mundane or the most dangerous tasks, and expecting high casualties they were routinely rotated out to rest and replenish their losses. Race did play a major part in the decisions as well, because I’m going to be Frank here since there’s no way to put it lightly but soldiers will be soldiers. And these men who have been in high stress situations, harassed and insulted, with such frustrations crime is surely to follow. And in the worst cases the murder or rape of a French national by a colonial would not be tolerated. This isn’t to say that the Tirailleurs were thugs or criminals but it’s just what’s bound to happen when you have foreign soldiers on your shores, it’s an issue that’s happened not only in the French colonial forces, but by the Free French Army, thr US Army, the British, and the German army. With such a collective of violent men trained for war it’ll bring out the worst characters in man. It just so happens to boil down to optics. It’s be much easier to punish the occasional war time offender of the same race then face humiliation by someone else. Sadly it just leads to ignorant and baseless accusations and an enforcement of stereotypes, and the erasing of honors won by the people who sacrificed everything for a country they had never seen.
This game’s single player is a joke I’m sorry The gameplay’s boring and uninspired The script’s awful There’s only 3 launch stories The set pieces are unrealistic The ending’s are anti climactic And there’s no stakes You don’t care about any of the characters because of the awful rushed screenwriting Just do yourself a favour and play the multiplayer
I mean pun intended: These war stories are the exact same like bf1. 2 Brothers/like who fight in a war, in a special unit of somesort and the rational one dies in the end? never heared that before. A female resistance warrior who has to overcome/do alot of things on her own? Nothing is written cough cough A father/son relation ship between to men and 1 of them is a high rank and a veteran, and the other one doesnt know shit about war. hmmm Battlefield is fk lazy with these war stories they all have the same concept

The Shrapnel from the Frag hits the ammunition inside the turret/hull. This triggered within seconds an explosion that blew of the turret because there was no way the oressure could escape elwhere
Honestly I feel like they hint the upcoming dlc cuz one of them is about Greek and one of the characters referenced Russians and nazi using it to make or just any country is going to make it use nuclear weapons so Greek is already confirmed so Russian, America cuz well they used the atomic bomb which was nuclear and Japan cuz well they have to be involved cuz of the whole nuke thing

The Soviet Army had females serving as Snipers & Tank Drivers Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) served in the U.S. during WWII to 1943-1944 in the Airforce Resistance Fighters (Of Course) OSS & SOE female agents usually served as spies (Like the rest of the Agency) I mean not every nation had women serving in the front lines which was very rare, but you get the idea.

5:07 the german guys death is sad because he doesn't get to see his family one last time in the begging of the campaign he said "I miss my wife and kids very mutch" it's sad knowing he died and his family won't get to see him again but blowing up that submarine saved millions of lives by not letting the germans create atomic bombs
Which is why I hate DICE for parroting for WW2 era myths. Especially in the Last Tiger war story and Nordlys. German heavy water production was mainly a project to create a type of synthetic rocket fuel for Wunderwaffe projects like the V-1s and V-2s. Any hint towards German atomic research was sporadic and too trivial to be of any mention. Especially since Hitler and the Nazi party denounced atomic science as ‘Jewish science’. So the project, if it ever existed would never have gotten the funding or dedication it needed to succeed. Even if they did pursue it they were behind in terms of material, funds, and brainpower. Since the Nazis came to power and their oppression of Jewish educators and scientists continued Germany suffered a massive brain drain, with many intellectuals of Jews, communists, liberals, and homosexuals left. Leaving only those who believe in the Nazi rhetoric to stay. It was also a massively ambitious plan, too expensive for a war time Germany to manage. Mind you the manhattan project was the 2nd most expensive American project of WW2, only out valued by the B-29 heavy bomber project.
