I'm surprised they didn't have a D-Day war story but maybe they didn't want to use one becuase it'd be cliché cuz all movies and games world war 2 have a D-Day scene I guess
They added the Pacific DLC, and after that I was so excited to see what other awesome themes we could see in the game such as Russia or something else. Then it went downhill until the game was basically canceled with about 2-3 iconic battles. Pretty sad.
The flamer postal was a real ww2 weapon used by the Nazis in 1945 near the end of the war as a last ditch weapon it was prone to expolde or light the user on fire
"There is a lot of stuff they can take from BF5" .... is doubtful "They learned lots of lessons with it too"... sure they did, but would they use it? doubtful DICE clearly showed not a single time > they do not want to create anything that we expecting or can imagine, so they more likely to do some doubtful stuff rather then create something that we can imagine or we thinking like "it could be cool if...". Due BF3 announce/release i was blown away. Due BF1 announce/release I was blown away. Due Bf5 announce/release I actually also was blown away but in whole different approach which I don't want to get in again. Lets be clear: the only thing that was rly good in BF5 is > shooting/spray/recoil control. And thats it.

@@Heavyg254 , but he did say he would do more focused videos for each item, probably pretty shortly. Even if he had done research it would not come to telling the whole story. It never does, and this is a huge update with a lot of new content. Basically you should settle down some, and be patient.
Its funny too see 700+ likes on this comment and noone has an idea what they are talking about. There you see 90% of the hater is just people who probably not even ever played battlefield v nor the older ones. Its just about hating something to death and beeing part of it.. I Played battlefield 3 for 8 fucking years so when I say something against bfv than it has valure. But you guys just bloody noobs. I don’t, Battlefield 1 was always better than 5 anyway. After every single controversy involving BF5 there was almost no way it would recover from the constant hate. I wanted to like BF5, I really did. But BF1 has more quality content than 5 will ever have
I think it was a worthy addition in the series tbh. The problem was the launch.. and after that everyone jumped on the hatetrain, as usual. I’m having fun with it and so are alot of other people. The ones not playing it is the ones that hate on it🤷🏼♂️
@@ObitoUchiha-ck6kx I like to think that the problem was poor management and leadership rather than poor developers. All the big decisions that screwed the game like the TTK changes, marketing, and the focus on "unseen battles" probably had nothing to do with the regular devs.
2:35 that grenade launcher is modelled on a mosin which gives me the impression they had russian content planned and ready but were stopped, why else would they use a mosin based grenade launcher
I agree. They probably had the Grenade launcher almost finished and decided to just finish it and throw it out with the last update since they weren't going to get to work on it anymore. The fuck kind of WW2 game doesnt have a Mosin or a PPSH41? First we had very few american weapons at launch and now we have 0 russian guns.
Leonardo Santuario it was absolutely garbage but it could have been awesome. Ww2 is one of the craziest wars probably ever and they could have had so many crazy famous battle. I knew the game was destined to fail when the base game didnt have d day or something.
If they just copied or remastered Medal of Honor Frontline, it would have been great :( We wanted to land on dday, we wanted to parachute or panzermarch like market garden, but we got some weird sidestory

Yep. They sold us a new car that's missing its gearbox with no sign of delivery. They should have finished it before they moved on. Shame really as I quite enjoy the game.
It sucks cause I used to fanboy for bf like a certain person in this comment thread but unfortunately those times are at a end. Hopefully they’ll return because it means they’ll actually have released a decent game.
When I heard in 2018 it was gonna be a ww2 batylefield again I was super excited for Eastern front battles and Russians and stalingrad, Normandy and battle of the bulge... didnt get any of those. Sucks
Jere Stan Yeah because Iwo Jim’s is less known, right? That’s basically not a WW2 game if you can’t appeal to an audience that would like to have an experience based on known battles.
M1A1 Abrams Tank no put wasn't a major battle in perspective of WW2 why? Because it was USA and Japan only. Many bigger and more replicant battles was fought with combined allied nations making the Pacific a very small part of WW2. Just because it's American doesn't mean it's always the biggest or what ever pull your head out your arse yank.
I can't help but notice how defeated you sounded when you were going through the new stuff that they released in the patch. It almost sounded obligatory, like you're over the game.
@@juniorgalacto17 Well they don't. They barely have players. BF4 may show lots of full servers but when you join they are empty. The server admins are faking the numbers.
Sure, it sounds good that they're putting so much into bf6, but on the other hand, the willingness to just abandon games clearly planned to be bigger just to release a new title doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Really feels like they planned to do years of gradual releases in roughly chronological order then just bailed without really getting to all the good stuff later in the war, or haphazardly getting there when the writing was on the wall.

Same. It has been both fun and, _hmm_ , to have gotten back on COD. And it feels good knowing IW will be staying w MW19 for years. I really hope Dice does the same with the next BF. And that it's in modern times or at least Vietnam. I miss choppers and jets.
I'm upset about this. I've been waiting for D-day since launch and yet it will never come. This was the perfect time to release dday, it's June. Like c'mon, how do you have a WW2 game without Dday. It would've been such a cool sendoff for BFV while we wait for the new title to release. I'm very disappointed :(
@@Matt-qv6od People get annoyed with Omaha beach. They were just one of 5 beaches and that one is always where it takes place. They should change it to Gold or Sword since that was a British landing and the UK always seems shadowed over the US despise contributing much more.

@@sethjansson5652 united states landed on two beaches, us brits landed on two beaches, canadians landed on one. all ground forces commanded by british command. We contributed the same except omaha was alot hotter than any other beach.

When I saw the charms on the weapons, the first thing that came to mind was “it would be cool if you could display peoples dog tags you’ve taken on them”
Playing it now for the first time on PS4 and enjoying it immensely. I can't decide if I like this or BF1 better, but BF1 had random bullet deviation, so probably this. Ngl though, still doesn't beat 1942 and mods like forgotten hope.
Im quite frustrated that Dice didnt implement eastern front including soviets and NO ICONIC BATTLES, no world famous maps. I know they wanted to start with the small battles, but now at the end they have nothing to show in terms of historic epicness (excluding iwo jima)
All pacific battles were pretty famous. Also maps like twisted steel could be seen as Nijmegen bridge which was part of operation market garden. But yeah we still need stalingrad, kursk, berlin, dday, buldge, okinawa etc
"I love bf5 but" is an all to familiar phrase, with all do respect we don't give a toe about norway. Well some people do and I respect their opinion and Norway to an extent but the people want that beach landing and its just a dam shame that more of these more renouned battles haven't been given the dice touch

It's so sad to see such a big potential game go down in flames. I was so excited for a WW2 BF and it seemed amazing playing it before release in that early access weekend. But the game just became terrible and unplayed a lot of the time. R.I.P Battlefield 5. Hopefully dice won't mess up the next title in the franchise!

BonesTheCat Yes, but back then they announced „one more big update“ and people speculated about them possibly adding at least one more faction or theater.
@@sainehonsa I heard during shot show 2020 they plan on making an even newer model for the US market that allows them to import it into the states from Switzerland. Apparently they plan on making 250 original vp9s first here in the US before making the export version
I'm kind of glad BF5 is coming to an end, I never could get into it. I'm kind of hoping for a modern Battlefield game in the same vein as BF3/4, but I'd be ok with a Vietnam game too.
