Battlefield V has come to an end. No more new maps or content. This is the final episode of Across the Battlefield for BF5 and its been a blast! Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.
It’s so sad to think about all the iconic WW2 battles we never got to witness in Battlefield V. Imaging the D-Day landings in the DICE engine, storming up the beaches, capturing the bunker’s, and then advancing into French farmlands and towns. It would’ve been incredible in the Operations mode. Such wasted potential.
I love that they put 2 battles of Rotterdam when there was no infantry units fighting over there during WW2, while they ignored battles that happened in other countries since 1938. Not to mention that WW2 started in 1940 and ended in 1941 according to Dice. I guess we must forget about fights in Africa and Asia in 1938 as well as fights in Poland in 1939. You know, battles that made Great Britain and France officially declare war against 3rd Reich in September '39. I guess we cannot see 3rd Reich either in WW2 game. I miss times of older AAA titles. In case of mainstream, we are long past golden age of gaming...
I do agree with with them not adding popular battles but I don’t think D-Day would of worked in BFV, would have been an annoying and Infuriating to play the allies unless they massively changed the map
They can still do it but they won't...Just like Battle For Pacific update.....Epic trailer, loads of content, I think its still duable...Soviets with T34s, KV2, Stalingrad...
When BATTLEFIELD V was announced, most of us were expecting SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, BAND OF BROTHERS or DUNKIRK. We were disappointed because we got a poorly written and incomplete Michael Bay film (with cultural appropriation thrown in).
If you were paying attention you would have know as soon as they went all social justice that it would be a pile of shit. Just like every other game social justice touches.
How is bfv a Michael bay film? And its kind of hypocritical to call bfv a Michael bay film when every bf3 and bf4 are literally known for grenade spam and explosions going off every five seconds but i bet you love those right
I told you all this would happen when they announced BF1 going back to WW1 when you tools were all overjoyed. "Corporations" have nothing to do with it. BF4 was just as "corporate" but it was the best damn FPS ever! I think they'll bring it back to modern times with BF6 and bring it back to the glory days of BFBC2, BF3 and BF4
Head over to World War 3 and buy it/watch it/support it. Its a Battlefield game done better than BF5 and is made by a smaller studio. Unfortunately was released loaded with bugs and sans polish. Devs are in the process of a major overhaul and it would be wonderful to have a lot of the disgruntled BF fans play it
Updates like 5.0 and 7.0 truly show the potential this game had, if only all content drops were like this since the beginning... Personally I still think BFV did a lot of things right (best gunplay, movement system, fortifications, buddy revive etc) if only they could mix it with bf4 levels of customization and sandboxiness and put it on a gritty modern setting like MW2019, it would be a perfect Battlefield 6 in my opinion
Visuals from BF1, map design combining what's best in BF4 and BF1, fortifications, gunplay and NONE 3D spotting from BF V, buddy revive from BF V but with medic using syringe/defibrilator like in previous battlefields, full destruction... This game had so much potential and done almost nothing with it. DICE Stockholm made community apreciate work of DICE LA even more with their lack of feedback, lack of information, lust for attacking their playerbase... For today, there is no hype fot new BF, there is almost no faith in DICE and for most of active BF players next BF is DiCE's last chance to score. If this game fails, BF loses its core community and has to rebuild it with newcomers which is not an easy task.
When they called us uneducated, lol. As a dev you should always be neutral, stop involving games into politics. I love what Rockstar did when those feminists complained about the game. Rockstar said that's how it was in those days, women did all the cooking etc.
GBrah That wasn’t a developer that made that comment.... Patrick was an executive at the time. He was the CEO at Dice. The developers were the ones that suffered from that idiot’s comment.
@@halolime117 Didn’t know that, but might go some way to explaining the manic quota filling. And the fact they spent ages on the Scandinavian war and not a single second covering the Eastern front.
This honestly is a highly underrated comment. I dont care what you think of DICE now, a business serves its patrons, and that statement ruined the game before it ever even released.
It's such a shame too it had potential to be multiple times better than battlefield 1 since ww2 had tons more weapon diversity and tons of experimental vehicles and technologies.
Cian O'Brien I would be interested in why exactly you don’t like it? I mean obviously it cannot hold up to a game like BF4 and certainly not to BF3 but the amazing movement combined with the „okay“ gunplay can provide a lot of fun in my eyes at least.
Definitely not, look at cod they released crappy games for years and they still had alot of success due to the fans. I don't want that to be the case though since I know bf can do alot better next game.
@@luridvexation8596 The amount of content available with ww2 is absolutely astonishing. So many fronts and factions yet bf5 only had a few, what wasted potential.
It's just that more people wanted a modern battlefield i have bf4 bf1 and bf5 and it was so damn hard to find a full lobby on bf1 and 5 but bf4 i was in a queue of 15 on conquest for bf4
Derrick Atwood hey I’m thinking about getting into battlefield and is there a sound that happens when you kill someone or you it’s only on the screen where they show it?
I had a dream last night that they announced that they decided not to cancel support and are adding a italy update and woke up thinking it was real and searched on RU-vid and realized it was just a dream
Jack videos are on a different level.. so satisfying to watch, and I think he's the only content producer to say "if you liked the video, give it a like, if you didnt a dislike" no one else would ever say that. Perfect videos after a day of work. Thanks jack, keep up the great work! Cheers from the coronavirus filled US
@@flynncarter229 honestly I agree in some parts but all these alternative war eras have been a lot less fun to play in my opinion. Nothing comes close to the fun I had on bf3 and bf4, which both were set in modern era.
I remember I got the game when it first came out, I loved it at first, but when I started seeing that people didn’t like it, my love for it started to decrease
Hearing him say “what tank is that, not sure” killed me inside. Surely even people who care little about ww2 know of the Panzer IV. The Panzer IV is one of the most infamous tanks of ww2 and history overall alongside the Tiger, Sherman, T34 and Churchill to name the basic tanks you think of in the context of ww2 tanks
Been playing a lot of Cod recently. It's really good, but there is something missing. No game will ever be near the battlefield franchise for me, in terms of emotions delivered. BF3, BF4, BF1 and BFV will always be in my heart
I feel you man, I played BF1 religiously and then switched to CoD for the first time in years for MW, and even though I never saw the appeal of BF5 and so didn't buy it, I find myself craving that kind of gameplay again when I watch Jacks videos. Even Ground War on MW doesn't scratch the itch and it's literally copy pasted Conquest. It's just so spammy and frustrating most of the time. Really hoping BF6 is a major return to form.
Yeah codmw is a great game I've also gotten hook on it recently.... But their ps2ish unmanipulatable hallway runner maps just dont compare to battlefield maps... It's a shame bfv was so shitty
This was my first Battlefield game and I enjoyed playing it for some time. This could have been a great game but Dice keeps fucking with the TTK and cant decide if its strictly WW2 or some alternate sci universe of WW2. Glad i never spent a dollar on this game.
BF:BC2, BF3, BF4 and BF1 are still alive. I really encourage you to try out BF1 as there are options to buy it with all DLCs for less than $5. Just play operations with iron sighted scout rifle and you won't regret it.
Finally. Finally I can jump into BFV once every 2nd week and experience the same game mechanics. I don't need something new and fresh all the time. I need something that works. That last three days i've played BFV 1-3 hours and im super happy about thinking that nothing will change. Finally!
Well, first - people play chess for much less than 5000 years, second - this comprasion is really out of touch with reality, chess is all about playing and training your mind to tactics and logical thinking this is why they will never be not enough ”content”, because we create it for ourselves, on the other hand games are visual and competive entertaiment that doesnt use your imagination so creators have to fill holes with pre-made content otherwise we will feel the lack of it.
I bought battlefield and put a good many hours in it but just about a moth ago I got to log on and it says I don't even own the game? I contacted origin and I still haven't heard back Ridiculous
It happens when the profile that bought the game logs in to another console. You have to log back into that profile and start the game. When you do that it unlocks the game on your console again
I know technically Across the Battlefield is complete now, but it would be really nice to have more unedited gameplay vids. I've really enjoyed watching them, no doubt in my mind others have too. Either way, great work, excited for whatever you do next :)
21:06 I agree, the sound in bfv is amazing. I once heard a mosquito in game and thought there was one trapped in my headset because it sounded so real.
Welp, that's it then. With all the frustration BF5 caused, to me at least, it is one of my favorite BF, played 5 times more than other episodes, getting angry frustrated and having fun. Best atmospheric scenes I've had in a MP game. Charging out of cover, bullets flying, fighters flying over our heads dogfighting, bomber crashing on the horison, everything burning smoking, then ran over by a tank. Thank you for your videos on BF Jack.
Switched back to bf1 ages ago to feel some actual excitement and immersion. Came back to check these new maps... they look great and the new guns are sweet. I think it's overall a decent update, but it's ust so dull. They don't draw you in with chaos and randomness like bf1.
@@TheWehzy Haha, okay bud, this series is far from dead and your honestly delusional if you think so, theres a reason a shit ton of people are split between BF4, Bf1, and BF5, people still clearly like Battlefield for all its faults, and a half ass modern game would probably be as well received as BF4.
@@dishonoredhero2763 I hope he isn't because he's right, no one wants to see a Japanese woman in Europe or a German with an eyepatch in Japan it ruins it especially when they marketed the game as historically accurate but the game is far from it
This was definitely my least enjoyable BF. I was so hyped being a WW2 nerd to get to see some epic battles we haven’t had before. Dice dropped the ball big time imo
I remember how sad I was for the final BF1 "Across the Battlefield." I've re-watched that series multiple times. Flash-forward to today and I wasn't even going to watch this one but I needed something to watch while I ate lunch. Gaming is going backwards across the board with a few exceptions. We have to stop buying the microtransactions if we want better games.
Played for the 1st time in several months yesterday... I like the new maps, the Desert one more than the countryside/village map (which is too open in some areas imo)... Overall, didn't take me too long to remember why I stopped playing: Doesn't really feel like a BF game, too quiet sometimes, just kinda dead feeling... Unbalanced teams: Wow, compared to 1 and 4, wtf is up with V? It's like they're Trying to have unbalanced teams! It's a great looking, smooth feeling game, definitely the most polished in those aspects, but the Action just isn't there like in previous entries... There's a distinct lack of Chaos all too often... Here's hoping they take the movement and gunplay from V, and combine it with elements from 3,4 &1...
Maybe try playing a bit more, the chaos is definitely still there. Plenty of full servers after the new update. I believe the team balancer is also in effect, I havent noticed the lack of balance like it was early on in the game.
@@iDayVids Yeah, I'll be playing for a bit here until I'm done, not sure when that will be... There are moments of Chaos and fun, just seems a bit lacking compared to previous entries... 3 or 4 out of the 5 games I've played were grossly unbalanced, with my team being on the receiving end of a whooping... Still, there's some fun to be had for a while, I'm actually enjoying BFV a bit, compared with the last time around...
14:50 That moment was really fantastic. It's like the final scene from FURY movie when the Germans surrounded the Sherman. There's a guy at the top of the tank like in the movie, lol!!!!
