I've long been a student of the 1st Missouri Brigade. Family connections, too. It's good to see some of their awful sacrifice there acknowledged. Their story is such a tragic one. I'm proud to have helped contribute financially, along with many thousands of others, to The Civil War Trust's effort to secure that land near the Gin. Thanks for the series. I still wish you would drop the wolf whistle from the intro, though. I don't think it could ever be considered appropriate given the subject matter.
Interesting video today. It’s a good counterpoint to the earlier video “Federal Artillery at the Battle of Franklin”at 0:49. The earlier video showed the overlapping fields of fire from the Union artillery positions. The Federal artillery’s converging fire definitely maximized confederate causalities. Today's video highlights in graphic detail and numbers the effects of that artillery fire on the advancing rebels.
