If it weren't clear enough from the like of BattleBit and now Delta Force, military FPS fans are hungry for a Battlefield like experience that's not as twitchy as COD or as competitive as a Battle Royal or mil sim. Battlefield was always that right middle ground with a lot of fun casual plays. If EA is not gonna deliver on that others will.
Dice: What? Can't hear you. Here is a clone of COD Ground war for you with slide cancel and jump shooting. And let us introduce omni-movement so you could jump like Max Payne.
I used to play Delta Force: Black Hawk Down sooo much back in the day. Never in a million years did I think Delta Force of all franchises would be the one to revive Battlefield. I'm positively shocked and am all here for it. I wish the weapons sounded a bit meatier, the G3 is one of my favourite rifles because not only is it ridiculously heavy - but it SOUNDS heavy. In this game it just sounds like your average AKM.
Good point. I feel like the old battlefields (Bad Company 1&2 , BF3) really nailed the sound design to make things seem like a Michael Bay movie but still sound realistic. In addition to better sounds for guns/explosions, I would like to see better dynamic sound environment. I.e. gunshots sound different from farther away- not just quieter, incoming rounds sound different depending on how far out, shrapnel wizzing by, falling debris and dirt from explosions, etc
played the old delta force black hawk down so much back then as well. anyone remember JT, RS, EID, Ao1 etc? I am hoping for the return of large maps from the old games and getting 20 point sniper kls and capturing player spawn points. Waiting to see more game modes.
Yeah its sad because I really wanted to try BF2042 again the other day and I spawned in.. and was stuck in the aerial view... even after redeploying still same thing. In the past I could do 1-2 matches before I would get stuck in a loading screen and have to restart so I see it never got any better lol.
I stopped playing ever since BF1, but is this not a usual BF gimmick? You select a specific role with specific weapons, etc.. idk why fans complained about something like this
@zezer3868 No, it isn't? They could do a ton of customization from different clothing and body armors, etc, along with camouflage. Or entire sets like CoD did with MW2019 without hero crap.
@@RRRRRRRRR33 BF has obvs had classes forever but part of the atmosphere was that you were a relatively generic soldier with generic soldier lines. They started to change things with bf1 and bf5 where you could pick your actor appearance and gear, a little questionable, but the voices in particular still fit right in, and you all had the same gear. 2042 released with classes completely gone and specialists instead with extremely distinct personalities and voice lines that stood out like a sore thumb. It's probably hard to understand without experiencing it but the experience of soldiers fighting around you was replaced with this weird experience of distinct heroes left right and centre and the effect on the atmosphere was catastrophic.
This actually looks good. I'm playing this just because i love the Delta Force franchise. Delta Force(1998) & Delta Force 2(1999) are fan favorites from my childhood, played them every single day back in the day, and i return to them atleast once a year for nostalgia.
I was just about to ask if this game was DELTA FORCE from my childhood, I remember getting the game taken away and having to do chores to get my disc back from my parents, it’s lost now 😢 will this game come to ps5??
"He just jumped off a pad, opened a parachute, closed the parachute, shot the helicopter with a rocket launcher and opened the parachute again. Incredible" -that one E3 guy
I'd honestly be happy if we just had a Battlefield 3 remake. Throw in some improved destruction mechanics and improved movement mechanics and it will be perfection.
The thing that would hook me is a gamemode like operations from BF1. That was my favorite game-mode bc it felt like a military campaign and your actions in each mission had ramifications for the rest of the operation
The gunplay and pacing looks like the perfect balance between feeling like a fun video game while still being somewhat grounded in reality. Really can't wait to play it myself.
Man, I remember crawling around in the grass on the hideous voxel engine in Delta Force 2 back in 2001... It was hideous but no other game played like it. Good times.
I'm genuinely so excited for this game. I haven't felt that way for a new FPS since BF1. Honestly man, the more i watch, the more I'm amazed by how is this a FREE game when it looks this well polished, visually, audio, features, and fun, on a freaking alpha phase.
@@stimswwolf7867 Public Alpha was supposed to go public the 18th I believe. However, after the pre-alpha test, they announced they will postpone the alpha to fix some issues. My guess is somewhere in the next 2/3 weeks.
I just fell in love with the gunplay in general. The guns feel like ur really shooting a gun, the reloads are simple but cool, and the visual recoil and the recoil of the guns are perfect and the balance i was looking in a videogame for a long time. (Not complete laser beams like the call of duty guns, but at the same time, not that crazy tons of recoil like tarkov)
"Im gonna devour this game for months on end" type of experience or "it's good for a couple of weeks and dead"? We really need some new long lasting quality games in the online market
@@Sully_one I've been having a load of fun with the current content amount I can only see it being grindable for a month max. Will have to see what their content cycle looks like.
We need regular infantry soldiers. This is their opportunity to win over the Battlefield community that want that bf4 experience that 2042 didn't provide. So far the gameplay looks incredible.
@@gelul12 Sell a Regular Infantry Skin as a bundle for all Operators with generic Voice Lines for like 5 bucks total and they can monetize the people who wouldn't spend money anyway.
I'm not a fan of the Futuristic aesthetic for the character's and all the weird abilities and stuff but man the gunplay and general feeling of the game sure does look good! Very excited to try it
@@BuffaloSpring Honestly since they are also doing a remaster of the original Black Hawk Down campaign, if they somehow created a Multiplayer mode that used those assets and that setting... it would be insane!
@@BuffaloSpringits made by Tencent subsidiary studio i highly doubt you be getting a military themed mode. The chinese have different vision on what kind of games appeals to them most
Its actually not inspired by Battlefield. Its inspired by Delta force black hawk down and Joint Operations. Both were out before Battlefield 2. Joint ops had massive maps, 150 player servers, vehicles etc. Delta force was also out before battlefield 1942
@@MS-wz9jmyeah but it doesn’t have any aspects of the originals and clearly takes heavy inspiration from 2042 and COD MW games. The UI, the maps, gunplay, operators etc.
Best part is the guns. Like when you use one you FEEL like it's an actual gun. The reloading, the animations, the running, all have WEIGHT to them. BF2042 felt like all the guns were toys shooting darts. They couldnt fix it because the core of the mechanics was faulty. This game is like if CoD was made in a BF world with no SBMM bullshit. Best of both worlds.
honestly im so old i thought this was a spiritual successor to the novalogic classic delta force series from 1999. that was my first military shooter. and to be honest it has similarities in terms of terrain and design. very cool
The demand for a good military game such as BF/Tarkov & CoD is HIGH, all the games out right now either suck or are full of cheaters with no signs of getting better. I know anti cheat is a hard thing to implement effectively but this game looks like the game many of us want! Just hope it has good anti cheat otherwise it will just vanish into obscurity, i loved the OG Delta Force games.
I would argue there are some amazing military games out there I mean there is squad, arma, dcs, he’ll let loose, squad 44 but those are all a lot more hardcore that arcade shooters but then again tarkov is too
Careful cause there's a difference between mil sim (Tarkov, Arena Breakout) and your military FPS arcade like COD. Battlefield was a wonderful mil sandbox FPS with a heavy focus on team play which was what most players are missing right now. There's a void right now and it seems like if Delta Force launch soon enough it will fill that void.
+ every game is so obsessed with skin MTX that they compromise design to make a ton of over the top characters. I don't want to fight nicki minaj and snoop dogg and other nonsense. Hoping this game keeps the cosmetics in theme
The funny thing is LvlCaps video really shows the ridiculous similarities between these two it's practically a Chinese copy paste job I'm not supporting this game
Im stoked to keep hearing that they nailed the gun feel. That was my favorite aspect of delta force bhd. You felt like your gun n bullets were powerful and precise, guaranteed to do what you wanted if your aim was right. That with the sound and visuals made it so satisfying and fun. I think hitbox creation and consistency plays a big role in it.
If they don't screw it up like other studios These days do a lot and they keep on improving their game and listen to their players, then this seems very promising. It already shows a lot of quality
@@TheDustmeister88 don't pretend that this was the first time somebody pulled of something like this. Sure it was an awesome play but jack is far from the first one to do it.
@0:50 Most gun manufacturers actually want their name in the game.. AAA devs think it's "Dangerous" yet they copy the work for profit. Tarkov for example didn't pay for any licensing, the manufacturers just appreciate their work being credited to them for once in pop culture.
looks really promising, but I definitely hate the characters/abilities part, I don't like the idea of fighting clones or having OP abilities tied to a specific character, maybe it should be a little more basic and simple, but fun to play
I don't mind fighting clones if it's more like earlier battlefields where it actually felt like two armies fighting, yeah you'd see two of the same character model, but they were all generic army guys so it didn't really matter, maybe those two dudes were just wearing the same kit. This "operators" thing needs to go away though, it's completely immersion breaking.
Yeah so far that's the only thing I REALLY hate about it, I'm definitely not going to be spending any money on it just for that fact, but I'll probably give the game a go.
I've been playing the Delta force games for 20 years ever since land warrior it was actually my first multiplayer FPS experience my dad was super into it. I honestly never imagined they would make a modern one.
From what I am seeing, this looks pretty damn good as the middle ground between BF and CoD. No killstreak BS, solid gunplay and familiar mechanics with a bit of extra tech. I'll be giving this a shot, see how much I'm enjoying it before my anxiety kicks in
@@OkamiTogeHad a terrible time with 2042 with crossplay, I'm a decent player, have a 2.5kd with infantry in BF5, but could not be as competitive with PC players. Same goes for warzone.
@@Anubis_-_ I play in brazillian servers. Tried 2042 a couple of weeks ago after 2y away, and I couldn't even find a match with crossplay enabled (it was 5pm). Went to BF5 and there were 5 full servers. This game must be pretty dead here in south america, and it doesn't surprise me at all.
