In this video I review the Battle Field in a Box river sets by Gale Force Nine. I also show how with very few improvements they can be enhanced. Music by Incompetech
Excellent information about this product. I am deciding between these and the resin river set made by "Small Terrain". I may still try to make my own, but these from Gale Force 9 look to be a nice short cut. I really like the extra additions you made. Lots to think about. Thanks!!
My brother has a bunch of the Gale Force 9 river sections that he picked up at Gen Con years ago. They make great buildings also, you can see some in the last video that I posted.
pbeccas thanks, a store local to me has the River bends set. I looked at it but after buying three of these thought I would see if I really needed it first.
I also think they are a good deal I have had mine for several years and they have been used extensively for both scales of MWG that I use 15mm and 28mm.
Never knew this company or product so +1 for that . In $Aud at one store online they were $27 .Did you say they were all 36" ( 910mm ) in each package cause thats not a bad length . My issue would be how the shit can you keep the ends together ? .My OCD would flare up lol
Rusty Gold I was approximating but I can verify the island kit is 35.5" and the forks kit is 34.5" although the fork kit has some greater curve in some of its pieces. They are separate so could be nudged apart but also have a nice heft to them so I don't think it would be by the slightest bump unless your play surface is very smooth. The only other option I can think of is going homemade and not using separate pieces but that is always a good option if you have the time to invest and don't want to transport the river much. Cheers :)
