I honestly doubt, that's an error. If it had been an error, it would read key_not_found (with underscores) since it's a broken string.

@@Seth90 Could just be the default string for a missing translation. Different platforms handle that differently.

@@thepsion5 As i said, a broken string would read key_not_found (note the underscores) like all the other broken strings, we have seen during first beta. That's indeed a proper fleet name ;)

the Agr- worlds are very important, they reduce the time (turns) needed for the systems you control to grow and then be able to buy the upgrades, in a campaign with turn limit like this they are gold.

when you hold the left mouse button down while doing the micro warp jump you can also actually turn the ship around for cool raming maneuvers and such.

Spire starting fleet is perfect for it too - he starts with micro warp jump and a 6-torpedo cruiser. So much MWJ-into-torpedo volley.

In that last engagement i THINK that fleet was Alpha legion, the colors match. That being said those might have been allies. enemies, frenemies, who the hell knows what. The Alpha Legion is my favorite but then again i might be biased, I am Alpharius after all :)

Regarding the resource balance. The costs are expensive at this stage, when you're fighting in a single sector. By the time you control a few sectors on the entire Galactic map, I think the upgrade costs will be cheap as chips, and the challenge will be to hold on to your resource producing planets.

btw you can actually attack kantrael right through fremas - can ignore it and go straight for the other one, if ya have enough points to move that far, negative is that its not connected to the rest and ships in kantrael dun benefit from all the other boni other systems may provide~ after ya defeat a fleet you can bring all 3 in again, the mine symbol remaining there, appears to be a bug. the ships automatically upgrade some of their stuff when ever they lvl up - more hp and such - and evtl the last skill unlock

No way that's a station in size alone it would dwarf most moons if that thing had even a couple hundred macrocannons itd be enough to handle most fleets single handedly. The station would be as famous as The Rock or the Phalanx with maybe 3 built in the whole Imperium for very important docks/planets

Two things: one, thing aren't shown to scale in BFG (if they were, the ships would only be tiny pinpricks in the center of their circles, the ranges they can fire are that vast). Two, actual space stations in WH40k are monsters, and you wouldn't want to fight one at close range at all, but rather shell it with torpedoes/etc from out of cannon range, if you were given the choice (they couldn't move after all, that was one of the things that made blackstones and such so special). If I remember right from my manual, each quadrant of a station had the equivalent firepower/durability (though they could mostly each only fire in their one firing arc, with the exception of a couple guns in the central dorsal area having 360 fire) as a cruiser, so it'd be like fighting 4 cruisers welded together!

@@kedolan4992 I understand but still the size of that station is much much too big to not be a notable one. It basically dwarfs the phalanx and most spacehulks. The scale is always blown out of proportion in these games but even then this was way over the top

@@frking100 Oh, you mean the big thing in the background don't you? I thought you were talking about the actual space station on the map. Yeah, I'm sure some artistic liberties were taken there, but either way it looks more like a ship construction frame or something, than an actual station: it doesn't look armored or armed at all.

@@kedolan4992 Yes i was talking about the huge station in the background and how out of proportions it was. Since it looks like it could build several Emperor size battleships with easy and that such a manifactorium station would only be relegated to very important planets and even then it would be extremely rare.

Hmm, while great as a long range weapon to provoke the enemy into changing course or revealing themselves due to CIWS opening up in multiplayer, torps in campaign seem to be more effective used like a shotgun - up close and personal.

They added a limit because of balance and immersion reasons imo. Think about it, a ship isn't gonna have unlimited torpedoes, bombs, and strike craft to continuously fight in an ongoing battle. So it makes sense for abilities that use a certain resource like torpedoes and strike craft to be limited as such.

Just a note on something that also took me a bit to figure out: Enemy fleets don't seem to block movement. At the 3:00 mark you say they should redistribute their fleets to defend the forward system - but they can't stop you just bypassing it, and the system they're defending with 2 fleets is a much better one (it has resource producing PoIs).

Because Cadia is still there. The planet is entirely uninhabitable, being in two pieces. The remains may still be mined, for example.

I'm pretty sure the reason the economy is set up how it is (pay 100 to upgrade production by 5) is that you'll keep producing as you move on to more sectors. There's a reason you can have multiple fleets of each type, I imagine.

i don't know this for sure, but i suspect in the full game that whole 'battleplans' mechanic comes into play a lot more. as in in the Beta you have max 'battleplans' and therefore see everything, where as in the full game you have to actually generate them. at least that would make sense from the text you get from the 'listening post' that's currently useless. The way it would cause a huge drop in 'battleplan' generation implies it's because you're already at what the game considers maximum and building it would futz with that.

Nah, Battleplans let you push back the "enemy growing stronger" bar in the bottom right. The help popup for them is.....kinda bad. Like EE (and it seems every other streamer) I looked for ages when it said to mouse over an enemy attack indicator. That part seems to be 100% bullshit - you just click the tiny battleplan icon-ed button bottom right.

Shame you didn't got for the space station, you would have won regardless with the amount of points you were ahead and acquiring. I was looking forward to seeing how you handled it instead of just speeding the game up :(

Murgatron perhaps, but it is more strategic to avoid that fight, as you would take damage that would last multiple turns so while boring, it is the better choice.

Torpedoes will not arm until they have reached sufficient distance from the ship.

Hi there. Very lacking in WH40K knowledge here. When the imperium ships do boarding actions do they send over space marines or guardsmen? Or are space marines only found on space marine ships?

The LouseGrouse Space Marines, as a general rule, are only found on Space Marine ships. The boarding Space Marines tend to have teleporters that let them hop onto and off of the ship being boarded as needed. Adeptus Mechanicus ships send out Servitors (basically cyborg-slaves), who are highly expendable and will have been bred and have cybernetic enhancements that make them very suitable to this kind of suicide mission. Navy’s boarding troops are usually Imperial Guard who have commissars to help motivate them into... appreciating... the fact that they get to die for the Emperor.

The reason why there’s a limit now is because of spam, if for example, you have a station to fight, what would you do? Close to weapon range and duel, or fire unlimited torpedoes that pierce shields, do good damage, and don’t risk your ships?

Also not sure if you know this yet but the reason you do not have your entire armada from both fleets is because you are caped with a certain amount of leadership points meaning that you would need to probably send in the Space marine fleet in first and then the Imperial Fleet to probably get your light cruiser and your three cruisers into battle.. you would probably not have either of your 2 firestorms from your imperial fleet.

I don't mind the limited number of ordinance shots, as torpedo and squadrons would eventually run out of amo and fuel though I think that the nova cannon should have more shots, maybe 5 or so before it needs to be shut down from continuous use or something

To be fair, back in Armada 1, I used to have fleets made up souly of cruisers with Nova Cannons, all on auto-use, by the time the enemy got into engagement range, their hull was about halfway down and their shields half recharged. Quite frankly, it was getting boaring over time. ^^ 38:39, that what ol' wet navy sailors used to call a "suprise butt sex".
