I played Necrons for the first time in PvP a few days ago and built a fleet with a pair of Cairns. Won by the skin of my teeth. The fleet name, "Cairn You Believe It".

Well played, I watched that 2v2 match live was awesome. Not so good in 1v1 those ships didn’t have the weapon output needed but their special ability’s is what’s make them work well, please keep it up as long as your still enjoying the game.

One thing about these cruisers is that they're weapons are front-firing. So your tendency to do those angled move-shoots means there's an extended chunk of time where the guns are off-target

I don't see any reason why you can't be capping points early if you're going to recall to the flagship anyway. Your opponent could have easily beaten you in the endgame had he saved his ships to defend his points and interrupt caps instead of suiciding them

I know you have no control over your opponent, but the mirror matches are my favourite. Drukhari V Drukhari was great and I would love to see an ad mech mirror. A nova cannon minefield would be glorious

Sweet mass recall. After your flagship got trashed (deck & engines destroyed) why not hide it in the nearest gas cloud?

i like new skill approach. It should also work or even better. Usually with this build, when you jump in and don't get the kill you are stuck in with limited options. With recall you can get your ships away to safety so you get at least 2 chances for alpha strike.

I've been playing a similar fleet with a scythe flagship but my starpulse wave doesnt work and i dont have recall???

You can't use starpulse wave of you're in running silent - so you should switch to reload stance right after teleporting in to use it. And Mass recall is unlocked at a later level, maybe?
