Battlefront 2 - The FINAL UPDATE is Here... Is it Great, or Just Disappointing?

It’s sad they never added Ashoka, Ventris, Mace Windu, and cosmetics for his clones (187th which wear purple)

Good update but not a good final update in my opinion

EA isn’t smart stopping a game that has so much potential rising In popularity and getting more players everyday battlefront was going somewhere that’s what I believed I guess EA didn’t see what I saw in this game

I think the final update should have been a season 7 clone wars update

Now that they aren’t focusing on the game anymore just let the community carry the game like adding modded skins and characters

Kylo rens skin makes him look like a little kid wearing a kylo ren costume

No Vader skin is really sad, just give him the rebels battle damaged with his one eye.

All I wanted, right from the start, was bespin luke. Old ben is definately needed aswell

I love how in the beginning he said he, “took some time to sit down and casually play Battlefront II for a couple of hours,” as he was running around with the Rebels Maul skin

It’s not a bad update there’s just so much more I wanted from this game that makes this update underwhelming

I wish we got a hooded Anakin skin instead of Rey.

I really hope they lower how many kills you need to get for the maul skin I really want the skin and I only have 243 kill out of 5,000 + I am not good at the game so I really hope they lower the kills.

Bruh I’m disappointed that they haven’t even add any new content to starfighter assault or the other game modes.

I’m not to sure how I feel about it. I’m always playing bf2. Especially supremacy. But original trilogy supremacy feels way to short. It kinda feels half done to be honest with you. definitely don’t understand why they couldn’t have added a ship phase to it. But if ship phase wouldn’t work out then that’s fine just slow down the match a bit. It’s done way to fast.

Yeah it's a little disappointing. A "mostly" recycled map with no new heroes. I'm also not super keen on the Tatooine and Hoth maps, they feel very chaotic. Plus the game seems to be crashing a lot more than usual. I've noticed especially that pulling out the rocket troopers launcher instantly crashes my game, so that's really fun

I’ve always wanted a Mustafar map.. that would be crazy🤟🏼

I wish that they would add the outer rim expansion maps from battlefront 2015 to instant action like the palace garage and the sullest extraction map but that’s just wishful thinking 🤷🏼‍♂️

the update is broken, I've crashed 3 times on ot supremacy and there's no boarding ship phase, down right disappointing

There is a bug that makes it so when palpatine dodges, his cape goes insane

When I saw this I felt that EA just got lazy and stopped updating it. There is so much more that can be added. I think they should've added an update that lets you customize your own character.

I wish that we could have had battle damaged vader.

I've now grabbed Maul in 12 matches ranging from "immediately swarmed" to "respectable kill streak" and I can proudly say I'm up to...242/5000...huzzah!

I surely hope they fix “the bugged one” Skywalker, other bug fixes to characters, and the hit box registration. If they fix some of the obvious bugs I will be content with this being the last new content update.

Although the game is 3 years old it still had so much more to give. This genuinely makes me sad

For me personally the game died when the droids released just an underwhelming update everything went down hill

They specifically said final "content" update

It's... Disappointing honestly. Wish there was additional characters added that were long requested

They left it with a lot of glitches especially after hours of maul gameplay I’ve found at least 5 maul glitches alone

I mean, y’all are overreacting waaaayy too much here. We’re in the middle of a pandemic. EA isn’t even hiring anybody currently. Just like literally every other entirety on the planet, whether it’s right or not, they have to cut cost and effort and direct their resources to where they best see fit. They’ve given us plenty over the last 11 months. I started playing the game last May and the difference between now and then is night and day. Once things return more to normal I’m fairly confident that they’ll fix bugs and do regular maintenance on the game. But it’s not hard to see why making new content and stuff isn’t a priority for them right now.

I think it was disappointing. I’m already board with it. We didn’t get ahsoka or even a clone hero.

I’m just annoyed at the amount of hero’s per era. OT has 12 now, prequels have 8 and sequels have 6. I would’ve liked two more hero’s for both the prequels and sequels along with porting palps and chewy to the sequels so they both have 10.

I hope they bring this “promised female hero’s “ on May 4th .... that alone would fill a few holes with the game ..

Honestly, I didn’t like the update. The skins are all garbage, Age of Empire Supremacy sucks, and the only good thing is scarif and the stormtrooper skins, which were almost just copy and pasted from the last game. This final update was very disappointing and for me was a quite sour end to the game that I loved through all of its previous harsh criticism. And yes, I think that the Maul skin is GARBAGE!!! Clone Wars Maul looks awesome, this one looks like Maul put on a f***ing swim shirt and shorts.

The constant jumpy camera glitch with the star fighters in Original Era Supremacy is a MUST FIX ASAP. It can actually cause dizziness, and extreme frustration...among other things. This final update was very underwhelming.

How’d you get Maul skin? It’s impossible to get lmao. Literally my favorite character and they make the skin dam near impossible to get. Not even going to bother grinding for it.

I actually like this update but a capital ship phase would be nice.

Things they shouldve added... Mace Windu, Ahsoka, Asajj Ventress, Jango Fett, Clone Wars Maul(with darksaber optional), Magna Gaurds, Luke Bespin Skin, Vader Battle Damaged (Force Unleashed and Rebels), Chewbacca skin with 3-CPO on his back, The Mandalorian, and the lists goes on... hopefully they make a battlefront 3 because there was to much that couldve been added to the game to make it even better. Of course we appreciate the work Dice has put in, but more obv couldve been done

It’s really good but not final update material. If there’s not a May 4th sneak update ima have to go to EA offices and treat them like younglings. I mean...there’s a bunch of *LONG REQUESTED* characters, features, and skins that we never got. And not just new things-things we’ve requested *SINCE LAUNCH*

Yeah I definitely am siding with disappointing. This game could of been legendary, I still remember playing BF1 talking with my friends how excited I was for BF2 and what they would add/change. The initial release was rough and had me take a year or so break, but the game was making such an amazing comeback. I have yet to even try the update honestly lol, i just don't see myself playing anymore :(

Not sure why I didn’t think of this before but they still have a bunch of heroes that could be in Battlefront 3. Think about it Padme, Qui-Gon Jin, Ahsoka Tano, Jango Fett, Mace Windu, Snoke, Jar Jar Binks, Poe, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Jyn Erso, Shaak Ti, think about it there are so many they could add!

They should’ve added a season pass. They still can. This game would benefit a ton from one. Hopefully battlefront 3 would finish as a full game. We needed so much stuff in this game only one more clone wars update would’ve satisfied us with Mace windu, ahsoka, ventress and any/Jango(what ever happened to the double pistols flying hero they were working on? We didn’t ask for droids as heroes. And where is Corasaunt? This is just so dumb calling it complete and it’s not and the devs know it.

Some people here seem to forget that just like any other studio, EA is a company, they didn’t need to put out 25 free updates, and they didn’t need to support the game 2 years after it’s release. So, be lucky for what you got, after all EA is a company and has to earn its money somehow, it cannot do this from free updates which waste company resources.

Ahsoka and Asajj would’ve been awesome additions to the game. I even have skins planned for them. Ahsoka would have her normal skin before leaving the Jedi order, then the Siege of Mandalore skin and her white lightsaber skin. For Ventress we would have her normal skin which would be the one she always wore before she was betrayed by Dooku, the hooded skin from the dathomir arc and then her awesome bounty hunter skin with the mask that distorted her voice.

Finally someone that agrees that the 5000 kills for maul is way too much but also they need to tweak Luke's style named "Farm boy" which you need to get 5000 kills with Luke just for his tatoin clothes

I just want to say that I am very sad if this is really the final update, I’m not an everyday player of Battlefront but I do play very often and I’ve plated for a while now. Yes, once again, this would be sad if the game didnt receive any more updates. But, to be honest i have to say that the game has also come very far and I have seen an incredible improvement since it first launched. With this said, I think we can all agree that we would have loved to see a Mustafar map, maybe Coruscant, Mygeeto with the special units and that foggy environment would have been DOPE, a new addition to the heroes with Mace Windu has been my dream (and I think everybody’s dream too) since the 2005 Battlefront, or at least Ki-Adi-Mundi for Mygeeto or Plo Koon, or even Anakin Skywaler new skin from attack of the clones with the short hair and the green light saber, and DON’T even get me started on Qui-Gon Jinn addition... I dont know, but although they came a very long way to make this game a thousand times better than it initially was, I have to agree with most of you that they were not even half-way from their potential, and this feels more like the last season of Game of Thrones (for those who watched the show like me), feels like a lazy ending to what could have become an amazing that could even be compared to the 2005 Battlefront that had everyone’s jaws dropped down to their knees...

I hate the final update because of the entire 2 years of this game they only made ☝🏻 maul skin and never made Ahsoka Tano!😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I hate that age of rebellion CS hasn't got the ship-phase. I know a lot of people said, the matches last too long but now the matches are way too short. Also if you aren't the first or second one to get 4000 bp, chances you get a hero in this match are as high as disney making a good star wars movie

It seems like a really odd time to end battlefront 2 when Clone wars season 7 is now coming to a close order 66 just happened and there is so much more opportunity for new cool content. Probably honestly the best content....
