For new players, I would say one of the biggest takeaways from this video is knowing your hero and their limits. Nothing is more discouraging than saving up to buy a hero and immediately dying. Like he said they aren’t invincible and a squad of troops can easily take you out along with a select few reinforcements being played by experienced players. If you want a good kill streak, focus on getting one kill at a time. Kill an enemy and fall back, stay with teammates, don’t get tunnel vision, and DON’T go after other heroes on the map unless it’s self defense.
No just go for single pick and forget you’re even part of a team. I mean why would you be doing objectives when you can get a 40 kill streak going…I mean we’ll lose the match but you’ll have a nice video to post
My tips for Battlefront newbies - Use Co-Op to quickly level up to unlock star cards for inventory and heroes alike. - Practice dodging and rolling - Roll as you reset your gun so you're not a standing target who can't shoot. - Reset your gun BEFORE it over heats otherwise it takes much longer to reset. - Never stand still, moving targets are harder to kill and someone will sniper or just sneak up behind you if stand still while trying to get a command post. - Sometimes it's better to start on default rather than on a team mate unless you know where they are and who's near by. - When you finally get a hero stay with your team (you'll live longer) and support them until your good enough to go on a hunt and destroy on your own. - Don't let anyone get behind your hero and don't press on when at a disadvatage, just retreat.
Some assault -oriented tips: Toughen up is kinda overpowered in lots of situations. Sure, no flash pistol or scan dart, but when shooting behind cover it's hard to be lasered down with toughen up. If you're just starting, getting 50 Co op kills for the e11-D is a good way to practice against easier opponents, and it's a very reliable gun overall, just the starter gun with mods. Third person is wonderful. There's a reason it's the only view people play in. And, you can use it to peek around corners, too. Start out with low sensitivity. It makes aming muuuuch easier, and more hits=more kills. Don't be so fast to push. If you're 1 on 1, and the other player retreats behind a wall, unless you know their health is low, do not follow them. The assault is very good at cqb, but will not survive a good trap like a heavy could. EL16-HFE is best gun, for most situations. Don't use the burst gun. The recoil is stupid, you hit one shot but miss two. And the stats are just flat worse than the starter gun. General tips: Roll. Roll everywhere. Roll into cover. Roll out of buildings. Roll off cliffs. Roll to your grandmother's house. Roll to make dinner. Roll everywhere. Headshots are huge in this game. Once you learn to aim, try to aim for headshots. A full health assault can take out a full health heavy if the assault can aim for headshots. (particulary important in 1v1s) When you're grinding classes, co-op is the way. If you can aim, it's like a free 50 kills/game even without hero or reinforcement usage. You can throw grenades farther than you think. A well placed grenade is a doozy. good luck,have fun!
Tip for new players: if Grievous is close, run. If hes blockinng mid range or far (farther than his claw rush is) then fire away. His stamina is lower than the amount of money I have
Couple more tips that are important: 1. Don’t underestimate combat rolls, combat rolls for blaster heroes and troops allow you to be a harder target and be immune to lightsaber hits for a short time while for lightsaber heroes it’s good for repositioning especially during a duel they also give a small damage reduction 2. Pay attention to health regen, health regen for normal troops and reinforcement work the same as any other fps,you wait a little to regen all your health at certain rate, but for heroes you have a regen limit, meaning you can only regen a certain amount of health, for example general grievous can only regen 250 of his health or 350 with his beating heart star card, meaning if you take more then 250 at a time he will permanently lose that health, let’s say your at max 800 health and you take 400 damage, now you can only regen 250 of that Damage so you have 650 health, the only way to regain this lost health is to get kills, for heroes specifically you gain 100 per hero kill and 20 per non hero kill and paying attention to this is key for killstreaks 3.play during xp events, every weekend there’s a double xp event and every Wednesday there’s a triple xp event, play during this times to get your star cards 4. Star card basics, for star card there’s some certain numbers to keep in mind when farming, for heroes you need to be level 12 for blue cards and 25 for purple card, and for troops you need 12 for blue and 35 for purple, etc keep this in mind for farming levels I could write more but it’s getting late for me I might edit this later, have a good day to however reads this
I’ve just started. Heroes and villains I seem particularly good at and can hang with high level players. I get ruined in other game modes for now. Such a cool game and I get the feeling so many fans of it wish they could experience it for first time again like me

Assault's Vanguard increases your speed (matches some heroes), so it's useful for taking objectives or escaping danger. Also, the Heavy's Sentry can be used as a heal since your health starts replenishing when you enter Sentry Mode (btw supercharged sentry will go through lightsaber blocks since it deals splash damage). If you have to engage a lightsaber hero as a trooper/reinforcement, keep as much distance as possible, wait til they run or jump or otherwise drop their block before shooting, go for headshots, use explosives/splash damage weapons when theyre blocking (Heavy's impact grenade is great for this), run to your other team mates if they are close (this is where the Assaults Vanguard comes in handy).
Don't forget that the flash ability for the flash pistol can go through lightsaber blocks and still do damage to the hero/villain that is blocking. I believe it can also go through the personal shield star card for the Specialist class, but I could be wrong. See you on the battlefront via PC, shinies. :3
Lol I’ve been playing since support ended. The price dropped to $20 and I picked it up and am addicted lol. After 18 days and some change of playtime I finally have the skins for the 5000 kills milestone for light and dark side
2:22 as a noob playing the campaign, i really like this star card, as i can run up and go on a rampage due to the fact that it recharges a bit once you get a kill
Yeah, i know all the maps all the spots, all reinforcements, all heroes, and after 600hrs of play time i am able to be 1st almost everymatch, it took a lot of practice, 2hrs per day for almost 2 years. And is very enjoyable to play, you will never get bored of this game.

another thing that I still forget as a launch player is that some doors can only be opened by the other team so if you go through one and the door closes you cant get out, possibly killing you from the out of bounds penalty. As a hero I have died a sad amount of times to this

What about the heavy star card for minigun? The second that shoots fast explosive bullets, that shreds thru hero health even when they are blocking, I love it, that's my hero killer class.
I have some tipp too: If u get those skill points for lvl up, Dont spend them immideatly. Most of the time u run better if u save them for a card that is better than ur actual level. Once u unlock them u can max them out instantly instead of having every card in rare or common;)
@@Harmonic14 Oh yeah every time I'm a saber hero I turn that setting off. I also change my sensitivty up to 60% with sabers then switch back to 29% for blasters
Whenever I join a new game, i get completely obliterated and I have no idea what to do, how to get kills and do the objective. Also I suck at lightsaber combat. Cheers to anyone who reads this.
Hahaha I just started playing and the other day I picked a sniper on Geonosis and watched a guy walk out of the way of a shot and I was like "Oh fuck me, even the sniper rifles are projectile!? There's no hitscan in this game, is there!?" 🤣
Just don't hog the heroes and let your team lose the game because you're afraid to die. Chances are there are a few other good players waiting for their turn to pick a hero, and make a play to turn the tide of the battle even if it means their death.
I got this game for free 2 months ago but was always delaying downloading it because of its 90gb space requirments. I decided to finnaly download it and man is this game hella fun. Im not sure if its the game or the fact that i've been playing the same multiplayer games for YEARS now and got so burned out of tryharding any competative game. With this game i can just sit back, relax and have an amazing time even if i suck.
I had recently started playing Battlefront 2 and the ranking in heroes and villains i think its called, makes it difficult and unfun to play especially when i go against people who know what they are doing, while also emoting on me after killing me. But i guess theres toxicity in every game you play ;-;
