Have to agree on the alternate heads suggestion, would have been a nice touch. I’m really happy with these models, and I’m looking forward to hear what you have to say about the evil warriors pack, Webstor may be my favourite model in the range so far.
The funny thing is, if they had included head options, that would have been even more in the style of the Classics toy line they are drawing the inspiration from, so it would have worked really well. I think the guards look cool with visors (I really like helmed characters, and my space marines always wear helmets if they have the choice) so I would have quite liked to have at least one with that look. The Evil Warriors pack is great. I love Hover Robots, and there are some really nasty card combos for Webstor.
There isn't a playthrough on the cards right now, but there should be a review of the second Wave 5 box (with Webstor) by the end of the week, and a more in-depth look at the rules and how to play before the end of the month.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring My new, uncut Plague Fleet box just arrived and it's rulebook is quite possibly the most pristine and whitest sheets I've ever seen in a vintage GW game manual. I think the shrink was removed (or fell off if its cellophane stuff) and no one ever took the contents out except for the ebay picture. I know the whiteness won't last forever now with exposure to air and it will gradually yellow and fox. I don't even recall stuff I bought in the 90s being this clean looking. The paper is slightly smooth and glossier than normal. Maybe it's an anomalous paper stock that they didn't normally use?
Nice. That was an amazing score in the end. My Advanced Heroquest book is about as pristine as I've ever seen anything - basically unused - and it still has the slight yellowing and of course the good old staple rust. Finding something that's immaculate is pretty awesome. I love the cover art to the Plague Fleet box. Will you ever use it, though?
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring my idea is to use also other miniatures as minions but I was wondering how. I wish give them just 1 hit point and call them with mana.
Ha. I doubt anyone thought anything of it in the '80s. To be honest, I've never thought it was particularly suggestive, and considering the naming convention of other characters is better than Fistor or Fist-Man.
