US aircrews commented that it was like looking at an erupting volcano when those all those AA guns fire, such a monster of a ship with that many aa guns firing would obviously be scary. Sucks the AA crews did poorly, such skilled AA crews would scored Yamato a battle with six battleships.

Manuel Hernandez I'm not arguing that it should've had enough anti air fire power to turn the battle, of course that would be ridiculous. I'm just saying it should've shot down more planes than it did, considering how many anti air guns it had.
Bleachsoul13 Was referring to the number of planes that had to attack the ship, not how many were shot down. It's impressive to require 12 or so torpedoes and tens of bombs to drop to the bottom of the sea what was the biggest battleship on the planet
+Ultrakillerism Lol, they needed 5 Torps and 4 Bombs. Yamato wasn't as good as everyone makes her out to be. Same with other Japanese ships (Just look at their Carriers. Fully enclosed Flight deck? Nope'd the fuck outta there). Musashi on the other Hand took a beating with 17 Torpedoes, 19 Bombs and 20 Shells. It all just depends on the Angle. Look at Shinano for Example. The CV-converted 3rd Yamato class ship: One Submarine Torpedo. One. And she sank.
Qutut To be fair to Shinano, her damage control systems weren't in place and at the time she was crewed mostly by hapless civilian workers. The captain was mostly to blame, as when the flooding began with no way to stop it he... ordered counter-flooding and full steam ahead. Predictably, Shinano sunk.

Hey dude, Ive installed your DXG mod 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and installed them. But If I start the Game, I get into the startmenu and then it says "Loading" like normally, and then It crahes. Do you know what I can do to fix this? I really would like to play with your Modification because its very awesome. yes it can, the AA on yamato might have had as many guns, but they fired far slower. the 50 20mm oerlikons on iowa fired 3 times faster than the 25mm guns on Yamato. Even the 40mm bofors guns in which iowa had 80 fired about 1.5*-2* as fast as well as being 3 times as destructive per shell. The AAA was far better too. twice the rate of fire in which it could retain at any elevation or traverse angle while firing more destructive shells. Yamatos AAA had about half the rate of fire and turned and elevated super slowly and had a decreased rate of fire when at high elevation angles. Yamatos AA was also flawed because it had a range gap between the maximum range of the 25mm guns and the minimum range of the AAA guns, a gap in which the allied used to massively help defeat her. Iowa had no gaps at all. Yamatos AA wasn't intergrated into her original design, it was a refit at the island of truk in which they essentially cobbled together as many outdated off the shelf aa guns as they could and glued them on to yamato. Iowas aa was fully intergrated into her original design and was indepthly thought out and designed.
We need to know that yamato aa Power is not as this Good, first : many of its aa can focus on one target, dealing more damage, in real life its not like that, each aa had its own target (at least 2 aa firing at one single plane). Second : japanese aa guns were TERRIBLE. IN ALL WAYS, guns failed só much to shoot, and could break só easily. Even American ships há better aa (not just in quantity, but because of the best aa models, such as bofors and oerlikons. ) yamato is only better in armor and gun size, everything out of that u.s battleships are better. (Radar, aa guns, reloading, shooting with computers, etc)
