Yeah, as it stands now, Battle Wasps aren't really good. But the ones that Special Summon themselves are semi-generic for future and better Insect support, so I see potential here. A Stratos and a Special from GY are always good and a themed Soul Charge is just waiting for the right support to be broken. All in all, a fun casual deck that I'll definitely play
You can kaiju your opponent with either of the insect kaijus, then use sting the poison to tribute the kaiju to negate another monster's effects, something i realized last week playing my insect link deck at locals.
Their monsters are all really good imo but their own boss monsters are really bad and there aren’t enough good generic insects to go into in the extra deck

I still can't beelieve Battlewasps actually did something as competent as win two games - like, MBT, you made that playable AND that second match was hype as hell. GG dude.
Wasps are actually not terrible with a wind witch engine I’ve managed to compete with eldilch they are weak at defense yes but they can go in for synchro dragon with windwitch also I noticed their names all related to bows even arbleast and ballista are a type of crossbow
Would you reconsider testing this but with Speedroids in them? Mainly Taketomborg, Terrortop, the new Link in the Battles of Legend HEro's Revenge set alongside them and add in primitive butterfly. The synergy is pretty great
As a seperate note, try a ballpark build with naturia sacred tree. Works with or without the battlewasps by including earth plant tuners for alternative synchro options (including a level 4 plant tuner normal monster with 1900 atk), glow-up bulb for easy trishula plays, and with the inclusion of super-poly, an aggressive first of the dragons. Akternatively it also makes for a mean traptrix build as well, allowing you to swap out and reset the normal beaters through the field spells effect for a plant (or later insect) traptrix and potentially set up a trap hole along the way. Throw in your parasite/coccoon suite and the insect type earthbound immortal for style points, and its a lot of fun
Uhhh I'm probably a few months too late but the Salad player couldn't have OTK'd you game 2. He used miragestallio which locks you into fire effects. Update jammer's double attack effect is, in fact, activating. You can forget to call it. And under stallio, you cannot use it.
No mutated insect queen? I think she is a staple in any deck running parasite paranoid and cocoon of evolution. Her protection is just too important, especially next to the battlewasp synchros.
The Battlewasps are supposedly based on bees/hornets and archery. ... Then they have a guy with a spear. Even in Yugioh, the guys with bows need a guy with a spear for that piercing debuff. Edit: tmw: Pin for game.
