The Vietnam War, also known as the Second Indochina War, was a conflict in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. It was the second of the Indochina Wars and was officially fought between North Vietnam and South Vietnam.

I joined the Marines in 1964 to go fight Communism in Vietnam. I ended up in an MOS that kept me out of the war (2841 Ground Radio Repairman). I'm glad I never had to go.

I was issued only the M-14 during my 4 years in the Marine Corps, 1964 to 1968. It is a great rifle.

@@robertrusnak620 You’re such a fudd. The m14 was replaced for a reason. The m16 series of rifles has served the US well for decades. While the m14 was one of the shortest service rifles we’ve ever used. Keep crying about it like 60 years later
