Battling the Unbelief of Lust - John Piper 

So many are devoured by the sinful lusts of self gratification, lust needs slaying like all sin, everyday we fight armed with the sword of the spirit, renewing our minds through the word of God, its a constant battle daily,for both men and women... Constantly killing sin, we have the restrainer the helper and illuminator as a ever present help... The victory is ours through christ Jesus, resist and persist in this constant battle dear brethren, with the name of Jesus forever on our lips, the demons flee at the mention of his name.... ✝️🛐🙏🎣

look i agree with him, but ya know what? you don't just go to walmart and grab a wife. I wish i could send my servant off to find me a wife, but it doesn't work that way....

I agree with his concept of lust. I may be misunderstanding what he is saying, but one cannot lose their salvation due to lust. Lust is a sin, just like any sin. I can’t believe he is telling high school students that lie. Once God chooses you as his child, No one or no thing can snatch you from his hand. This man is using classic legalism. God is not pleased by any and all sin but I’m positive God will not send someone to hell for lust. If that were the case we would all be going to hell. As soon as he told said that I quit listening to his sermon. This type of legalism is damaging and leads people to worship God due to fear of going to hell, rather than a choice to love him. Lust is very powerful and can lead us away from the will of God, to the point where we can no longer here him or we perhaps turn our backs on God, but God will NEVER turn his back on believers in Christ. God doesn’t break his promises. Another example of taking scripture out of context. Take this from a Christ follower who has been severely damaged by this type of legalism.
