Sounds like the fan blades are hitting some resistance. Maybe contributing to the motor overloading?

This is one of the tools I haven't been thrilled with. I bought two of them and both of them broke in the same way, with something rattling/loose inside and no longer spinning

For 20 bucks if it lasts a summer is at least one power outage you got your money's back

Thanks for making the video because I was thinking about buying that fan but maybe you could just use it with the battery only and never actually plug it in, do you think that would be safe?
