There are better guitarists in the world, but when it comes to strangling the guitar until it makes totally otherworldly noises, absolutely no one touches Daniel Ash.
They sound amazing, Peter is fucking killing on the vocal control, he is a master unaffected by age because he knows when to push and pull back. Great showmanship all around. Glad he fucking kicked that stand too!
Everyone says "yeah anyone can cover Ziggy and sound good" Wrong, these guys cover Ziggy and make it sound absolutely fucking immense just like they did originally, live you get to feel it in your bones, I count myself blessed to have seen them right at the beginning and am so glad they are all still here with us. Now get off your arses and give us a killer new album before you disappear again.
Saw them 8 times back in the 80s, this sounds just as good as it did then, one of my all time favourite bands, along with killing joke ,echo and the bunnymen and joy division lucky enough to have seen them all several times
Holy crap!! I didn’t even recognize Peter Murphy!!??? Hellzzzzzz ya! 🤘🤘🤘🤘He sounds amazing!!!!! I want to see them so bad!! Hope they come around where I live!! Thank you soooo much for sharing!! 🖤😻🖤🦇🖤☠️🖤
These two songs in particular have a special place in my heart as I covered them back in '95 playing drums in a goth band. Great times, crazy times. Blue Mondays and Helter Skelter were the places to be at that time as well.
Magnificent! Peter Murphy command’s the stage. Voice in top form. Fan of Bauhaus and Peter’s solo discography. 3 months ago I posted a video to the amazing DEEP album.
Phenomenal. I was at the show in 81 or 82 when they first performed Ziggy at a London venue. They would play it as a encore before the single was released. I can honestly say they played the song with more power and authority in the clip above than when I saw them. (OK, they've had 40+ years to perfect it, but you get the point ;) )
It’s so awesome being able to see these guys at their ages up performing songs that were at the core of the soundtrack to my youth! Now if only I could see an actual Tones on Tail reunion with all the original members, which obviously is mostly just Love & Rockets anyways… but hopefully Glenn is still around and interested… ;)
as a singer, whose many contemporaries (even younger than he is) have to pitch shift their material down considerably, Peter Murphy has kept impeccable care of his voice as he's aged. what a smart and talented guy. :)
check out this live version of the same song with the same line up from 1982 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K0bLCILyVRk.html glad you enjoyed the festival it looks amazing from the videos on here
@@martinharris5017 Because he's a professional! 🙂 I've only had the good fortune to see him live twice - once in the 1998 Bauhaus reunion and solo in 2000 and both performances were absolutely magical. I could tell stories, but don't want to bore anyone. His is one of the voices that reaches deep down into my soul and I know when he finally leaves us it's going to hit me at least as hard as Bowie's passing did.
Classic a band apart. Remember a gig at the lyceum theatre Sheffield in the 80's one of many times I went to see them but this concert still sticks in my psyche probably the best gig I ever attended.
Bauhaus and Peter Murphy are and have always been in my top 5 bands. Seen them several times in my 48 years on this planet.... September 20th is my target date as he will be in Dallas. "UNDEAD"
Nooooooooo! They just cancelled the rest of their tour. Had tickets to see them in DC. Hoping that Peter completes his rehab and that they get back on it soon :(
I saw them in 05 and 07 opening for NIN. The first time all I remember is puking up Red Stripe in to the toilet while a fellow drunkard sung “Telegraaaaaaam Sam”.
But when David first suggested that Peter shave his head, he said 'Peter Murphy does not shave his head, he will not look like Satan's fucken spaaawwwn!' I think it looks all right, actually.
Love this band so much!! They still sound so freaking good! If you want to check out another unique goth metal nugget, give the new Lucious Bloodfire single 'Shallow Grave' a spin. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QfPSWsp0IuE.html
