[Bay 2] WashWorld RAZOR || Shield System Self Service Car Wash 

Since there was no time to visit new places, I wanted to revisit one of my favorite self service car washes that I’ve been too. This is the Shield System Self Service Car Wash in North Billerica MA! Shield system owns 3 tunnel washes (filmed 2) and 2 self service locations. This is one of them. The other is all self service bays.
This was Shield System’s oldest self service location when it was first built. It only had 4 bays and multiple outdated vacuums. Around early 2018, this location got a major renovation. This included new vacuums, new self service bay equipment, and the removal of the 2 middle self service bays and the installation of NEW WashWorld RAZORS in their place! The renovation was needed as the old facility was falling apart and half the time, all of the SS bays were closed.
Since their 3 tunnel locations are soft touch, they must’ve wanted to install touch free washes at one of their self service locations so customers who don’t like soft touch washes can use them, or use the self service bays. After these RAZORS were installed, more people came to this location and half of them used the RAZORS. I also forgot to mention that the 2 WashWorld RAZORS here use Sonny’s dryers and Formula Finish chemicals, including the Synthetic Hot Wax.
I filmed these 2 washes many times in the last few years and I wanted to come back and do a retake. I also do some off camera visits to this wash on some occasions. At first, I thought nothing has changed since the last time I was here. But turns out something did! It is the addition of the Ceramic Coat to both of the RAZORS! It is called Shield’s Ceramic Coat and it is a $4 upgrade to any wash. I don’t know when it happens but it seems like it was added in fairly recently.
The wash shown in this video was the $20 Gold Wash, with the $4 Ceramic Coat upgrade so it came to a $24 wash. It included:

Wash Quality: was really good once again! While I don’t like that they only give us 60 seconds of drying time, the dryers worked good and because of the Ceramic Coat, water was beading off of our car after it started to downpour after this wash! If anyone is in the Billerica area, this is a car wash that I highly recommend!
