For an area that is the birth place and the heart of technology, these lights make prestigious statement about our Bay Area. Hats off to the programmer, and all those involved in collecting money and those who performed the physical work strap these lights. You guys brought our Bay Area to Lights, and may God bless you all. I am very proud to be a California residence…..
Bravo NY Times. Best shot and edited piece on this. This art installation is soooo San Francisco, geeky tech turned into art. That's what we do best here.
It's true. New York is a grand city, but San Francisco has better weather. It's rarely too hot and it's never too cold. Oh, I've heard people complain about cold in San Francisco (when it was about 45º F, LOL!) but there has never been a snow storm. There has never been a hurricane, or so much as a hurricane threat, in San Francisco, either. While I have experienced triple digit heat in San Francisco, it is uncommon. It is typically the coolest part of the Bay Area every summer.
Sorry about confusing your name Leo, I was tired coming home late, after my trip to San Francisco. I was so impressed, I needed to express my feelings about what I have just experienced. All my comments to Alex were actually directed to You Leo.!!...you did an outstanding work with this piece at the Bay Bridge!!!... I wish many more successes in your future. Congratulations!
being a former Bay Area resident...really happy for what they've done for the Bay Bridge...cause it was always 2nd to the Golden Gate Bridge and rightfully so...but those lights w/ the different patterns that illuminate are cool as hell...killer @ 3:11 - end..
Right now, I am watching this on RU-vid and I know that one day I will read about the lights of the Bay Bridge as romantically as those that sparkle and light up the Eiffel Tower.
For those who complains about the cold in sf are usually tourist from Southern California and other states who lives in warmer climates ! The weather in Northern California and Southern California they are totally different .
Alex... Bravo!!...I am very impressed.... You have created a beautiful monster... a very inexpensive therapy section.... a fly of the imagination....I have been completely taken by your creation......My hat goes out to you. Congratulations Sincerely...Martha Hevia
The only time it gets some what freezing cold is late November through between early / mid January around 32 - 38 degrees ! Actually it kinda does snow a little bit here in sanfrancisco it is just not that common it only snows every few years !
This is not taxpayer money. Are you saying that folks who donated money to this should have spent the money in accordance with your wishes, not their own? And how much of their own money are they allowed to spend as they wish?
If you have been to San Francisco then you know they already put huge amounts of money into helping the homeless. The thing is you can only do so much and from what I have seen when there, they have done about as much as they can.
Proud to be from the most beautiful city in America. It's privately funded so all you cynicals can quit complaining. SF has done more than enough for the homeless. There's only so much you can do. The homeless are attracted to our city. So what?
Sure you can, though you have to take a flight to the big island and drive to the top of Mauna Kea. I have seen a documentary short film of people snow boarding and skiing down that mountain and it looked pretty epic.
Sure! You think I'm too cynical? Look how they renamed most of the ballparks, stadiums and arens after corporations. Advertising pollution is everywhere. I hope it never happens, but..
