@@Callsign_Prophet "Dies Irae" is a popular Catholic hymn that has been orchestrated by many classical and modern composers. "Dies Irae" is Latin and translates to "Day of Wrath" which is why it sounds so foreboding. The lyrics do not reference the hymn, but the key is similar and the instrumentation is in the same vein.
Before this show came out I was waiting for Thrawn and Thrawn only. Turns out I don't have to wait for Thrawn when I can enjoy every second Baylen is on screen.
Baylan is such an interesting character, the presence, the dialogues, the respect, the acting, I want to see more of him in this show or in Tales of the Jedi, Ray Steven is amazing
Just a phenomenal antagonist, dare I say the best since George had Star Wars? Honestly, such a commanding, intimidating yet warm presence Ray commands. Bound by honor but lethal and deadly. RIP Ray. Legend in only 4 short episodes. I hope he feels the love.
God ray Stevenson really nailed his part, that man was a hell of an actor. And the music just keeps hitting every episode I watch but my favorite is this hallway death March music.
You said it… one time I was in a mall and thinking of a song (I don’t remember the name) and a few seconds later that same song started playing on the speakers, and I was like 😳
Ray Stevensons passing I felt was passed on too quickly...acknowledge his greatness! If this was his last performance what a way to go out. Thanks for the memories ray!
Well since both Filoni and Stevenson were fans of that time period, that makes sense. Dude looks like a Knight Templar, and Filoni has a hard-on for the Arthurian Legend era.
Assuming he doesnt die next week, i hope he isnt written out of the story, i hope they find a actor to carry on the role, it is impossible to meet ray stevensons bar, but the charqcter deserves to continue. Just my opinion.
Baylan clearly was meant to play a much greater role in the upcoming Mandalorian movie as the heroes unite to battle Thrawn. It’s an absolute shame we won’t see his character arc play out.
Dooku had a problem with the Republic and Jedi. This guy looked further. He saw entire universe having a problem with falling Jedi along with evil empires again, again and again. The cycle which never ends, a pattern which never fades, the universe of infinite wonders always stuck in constant, maddening stasis.
When I heard the piece in the episode, I thought I was hearing things, as it sounded oddly reminiscent of Vader's hallway rampage in the Hope OST from Rogue One lol
So do you think they will do what they did with rouge one and use CGI to keep Baylans character alive or do you think there gonna drop his interesting story.
