Even if this game doesn't directly appeal to me, it still makes me very happy. I love it when companies get experimental with the IPs to produce beautiful and creative games like this!
I love that attitude! We need more positivity in online spaces 😅 But I think I read that this is kind of like a project realised by a team of younger devs with the help of some of the more experienced Platinum devs, and that alone is also something worth supporting!
From the DEMO in Bayo3, it was obvious that it would be radically different to the mainline titles. I'm gonna get it and play it, but I hope it does well on sales.
It could be interesting. In several ways, I think Platinum actually meant for Bayonetta Origins' story to be part of 3 originally. Some players definitely felt they deserved an explanation for certain things in 3, but seeing Origins release reveals that they had more planned out that they thought warranted something different for Bayonetta. Anyway, hope you have fun with either game!
It's cool and i'm so ✨bayo obsessed✨ ill get it anyway, but like a full priced(!) slow, story-based spin-off from such a wacky over the top and pretty niche franchise, I can't really see it selling well. Also hope future Bayo games will keep the tone from 1/2, feels like they're steering the franchise in a more approachable direction.
I still don’t know if this is a day 1 purchase for me, but regardless the art direction of this game looks fantastic! I will pick it up one day for sure.
Looking forward to it. But I'm confused about Platinum's insistance on having you think about two characters at once. Astral Chain, Bayonetta 3, this one... it's a little much sometimes.
I know a lot of other people dislike the look and style of this game, but I dig it. I think it looks good, even if there's something about the artstyle that makes it feel...I don't know...kinda like it's hard to digest exactly what you're looking at or something like that. I'm sure I'll get used to the look of it more and more. I won't have to get used to, however, is the controlling of two characters at once. I've played The Adventures Of Cookie & Cream single player before, so I'm used to controlling two things at once. In fact, that game is more punishing since you get attacked for standing still for too long.
Looks great of course but I can only hope it has enough content or length to justify the price. I can already see people shitting on it and making comparisons to hifi rush
@@JulietStMoon I didn’t say that there’s anything wrong with indie games, i’m saying from everything that i’ve seen of this game its not worth a 60$ price tag. Not to mention this is already a niche franchise, so making a niche indie looking spinoff of an already niche hack’n’slash franchise and asking full price for it? This thing will bomb.
@@SolidPython2099 Just found it weird that you felt the need to mention it looking like an indie game as a negative thing, is all. I agree though, the price is just a bit crazy for this. Especially since the hidden teaser in Bayonetta 3 really made it feel like this was going to be DLC, rather than a full priced release.
This game SHOULD NOT be $60. I own bayonetta (ps3, wii u, switch), bayonetta 2 (wii u, switch) and bayonetta 3 (switch and climax special edition). This should have been included with bayo 3 as an unlockable. The sales are gonna be crap for this game... and then nintendo will take that as "poor fan reception" and shelve bayo ot force platinum to go elsewhere.
I don't mind if the Bayonetta IP ended tbh. Three great games, what else would you want? I don't see what part 4, 5 or 6 could give us that we didn't already get.
Hm The game looks nice, but the combat looks too shallow and puzzles are fine but not really a bayonetta thing So basically, this game better have the best story ever created to make the 60$ worth it, cuz from whats shown here, it looks even more like a 30$ game
Is this ripping off Hi-Fi Rush or something? It's cool more indie devs are inspired by the old Clover but I think we should leave that to Tango. Let's hope this is a decent stepping stone to more ambitious titles!
What the guy above said, but also key Platinum staff are from old clover lol Clover’s key members were Mikami, Kamiya and Inaba, the latter 2 now in charge of Platinum and Mikami, former of Platinum, leaving to form Tango.
@@justabean5869 Was this at an indie world? Makes sense, since Hi-Fi Rush leaked and all. I think these guys have potential but maybe should try to be a bit more original?
@@leontartovsky8949 I don't really know what you're talking about, but they should make a roguelike, seems more like their thing, you know? I hope Shovel Knight is in this game!
