The Issue with doing all these different witches from different time periods and trying to align with historical events/facts and adding mythology for flair’s sake in is maintaining consistency
With the third game... I keep thinking maybe each accessory was obtained from different worlds in the multiverse... but that might be a bit too narrow. Having different clades of witches around the world (in each realm of the multiverse.) Is more awesome
Who here thinks that Cleopatra might've made a contract with Hydra? I'm saying it might be Hydra because: 1. Hydra is inspired by both the Lernean Hydra & Medusa of the Gorgon Sisters of Greco-Roman Mythology & scholars generally identify Cleopatra of having been essentially of Macedonian Greek ancestry. 2. Cleopatra allegedly unalived herself by having an asp fatally bite her & Hydra is a snake demon herself. Also, part of me believes that Rosa & Balder wasn't the first example of a forbidden love between Umbran Witches & Lumen Sages (just like what Jeanne said). I believe Marc Antony, Cleopatra's lover, was a Lumen Sage.
It's interesting that the Bracelet of Time description parallels Eva's story with Rosa who are both complete mysteries. Eva had an unlikely romance with a demon, her death having an impact on her family with Dante and Vergil taking different paths and Mundus had created a demon made in her image to lure Dante. Rosa on the other hand contracted with a Demon that can control time, had a forbidden romance with an lumen sage resulting in a war, her death being the catalyst for Balder's downfall and Bayonetta's amnesia with Bayo1 unknowningly resembling her so much that Cereza mistook her for Rosa. Eva being implied to be a contracted witch pretty much matches the terrible fate of a umbra witch since their deaths result in eternal damnation.
Not my bro Sergay being dragged- That accessory is actually really great on NSIC in Bayo 1 because it increases the chance for enemies to flinch and increases your damage a lot. Its main drawbacks are the slow start-up (which is a problem with most accessories) and that is it tanks your combo score if you aren't careful since the doppelgangers don't really generate combo points. The most useless accessory is probably Selene's Light. I don't think people realise just how useless it even is even for newer players. Most of the Witch Time is wasted on being in hitstun and you basically don't get any window to attack. Enemies in Bayonetta also aren't really that aggressive even on Hard difficulty, they even have aspects to their AI that prevent them from overwhelming you with attacks.
Yeah, Selene's Light is pretty bad since to use you already have to sacrifice your Pure Platinum score. I just never found a use for Sergey's Lover but thank you for the tips! It would be nice to see it return in some form in the future.
One of the main reason, I love Bayonetta and SMT is get to learn about culture and religions, I normally wouldn't bother to learn, and most of the community is actually pretty fun.
I think that the movie Karaba Et la Sorcière were forbidden to be broadcast in USA especially for children bc it shows nudity. But as I watch this at a very young age, I'm so grateful that the film were allowed in France bc the plot was a masterchief and whatever "nudity" they called, a child would not even care bc as I did. Maybe if you read this comment, you would be a little bit too old to watch this child movie but it's so much worth it.
The title is _Kirikou et la Sorcière_ (Kirikou and the Sorceress). Karaba is the name of the sorceress. 😋 Edit: Oh, it's actually mentioned in the video. 😅
The Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa is my favorite accessory and I love using it in Bayonetta 1. The “Not Quite!” line is simply devine during game play especially when u hit a perfect parry. It sucks that she no long say anything during the move in Bayonetta 2 & 3.
Just a little heads up on pronounciation we don't have an "ooh" sound in the Navajo language rather it's an extended "oh" sound and e's are pronounced "eh" while double i's make the "ee" sound. Also Sergey's Lover is far from useless it is my favorite accesory just by how cool it looks when using it and it pairs well with Gaze of Despair. The clones that follow you do the same amount of damage that you do making them destroy, even one hit kill any enemy in the game with the right weapons. They balanced it in a way so that your moves stale faster forcing you to use finishers more frequently but this does not apply to angel weapons so you can basically get triple the amount of combo points off of angel arms while one shotting everything on the field especially if it's the axe or chainsaw. Also when paired with Odette, it can freeze enemies more frequently since each clone counts as a hit though this is situational given Odette's limited uses. Pairs best with Shuraba, Sai Fung, or Rodin.
I know it's specifically Greek I was saying they're both fun and crazy (and they parallel a lot). Love the reference to the Roman hero but its a Greek movie btw lol (one of my fave animated films)
It was rumored that Catherine the Great died when she had *relations* with her horse. This is because of anti-Russian, and to a degree anti-Asian propaganda claimed Russia did not have any qualms with that.
@@hailthequeenFM I apologize in advance. Catherine the Great’s greatest love was her horse. She loved her horse very intimately. With a system of pulleys. “Internal injuries” are claimed to have contributed to her death.
(Spoiler kinda for Bayo 3) Sergey's Lover: 3 Bayonettas at once? I'll never need this. End of Bayonetta 3: Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique.
I played bayonetta 1 and 2 but not 3 yet and so far my 3 favorite accessories are bracelet of time/earring of time, climax brace/climax earring and nucleus of talos. The reason why for bracelet of time is because you can control and or stop time whenever the players please to but it costs a lot of magic gage to sacrifice its own magic and you should always save up a lot of magic however. Making it easier to attack enemies while there slowed down, but I don't tend to use it alot since it's kinda unfair to me. The reason for climax brace is that you can have unlimited as well as infinite power (they both have the same definition I think), not only that, it's a mysterious treasure. Two quotes caught my interest (even if its connected into a sentence) when it saids "where, when and how it was made all remains a mystery; however, it said to have come from different dimension" and "its incredible power is feared both by angels and demons, who have reached a meatual understanding that its power is not to unleashed on the battlefield, no matter what conflict arises" no for the first quote, I love how things are mysterious and how things come from different dimension. Since I love when stuff as well as my oc is a little bit complicated, unknown and mysterious. It makes things more interesting. Plus, there's people with powers that can create dimension so that people can travel to know where, when and how powerful stuff was made. The second quote, we'll I do if people for example like myself was to ever have a better understanding to that accessories, I will know how to properly use it the right way on the battlefield as long as I can control it. No matter how powerful the climax brace is, I can handle it with all my might and not to abuse my power to overpowered everyone and everything around me (since a certain people can be self centered and like to abuse there power for there own desires and there own ego) The reason for nucleus of talos is that not only you can use demon slave but the demon slave came do its own dirty work while your still fighting in the battlefield. It's like pair up trying to combine there own combos; a kaiju giant beast fighter teaming up with a human/immortal fighter performing a badass duel fight with each other and learning eachother moves and powers very well to know what they're doing and in for. So you can control demon slave if you want to and other time you can let demons fight alongside with you freely without controlling them like puppets lol. Sorry if I explain this a lot. Just saying how I feel and what I think it's cool😊😊❤❤
Nucleus of Talos is probably my favorite new accessory in Bayonetta 3 I just wish they made it bronze so it could fit the lore/backstory of it. Love your explanation btw thanks for watching!
@@UmbranLumen No problem and sorry if my words or spelling are kinda mixed up, but I'm glad you took some time reading how I feel about these accessories^^ I understand when you said the talos was made in bronze because of the lore and the Greek Mythology of it, I love how the bracelet of time is heavily referenced to devil may cry the bangle of time and how Eva the mother of Dante and Virgil whom became an umbran witch for mysterious reasons since she was recontextualize in the first game of bayonetta, maybe Eva secretly became an umbran witch with or without the umbran elder knowing, creating the bracelet of time like she creating the bangle of time in DMC I think and/or how she left Dante and Virgil to be on there own. While the legendary dark night Sparta whos the father, considered the fact that he's indeed a demon, well let's just say he is secretly an infernal demon with or without Queen Sheba of infernal knowing. He probably became one after defeat the dark emperor Mundus and his legions alone. Who knows where Sparta is right now unfortunately. Last but not least, I love how the climax brace is shaped like an infinity sign♾️ (also I just knowing that ever since you explained it in this video lol) So, in my opinion, the two milky-way galaxies display on it could be referring to multiple dimensions that has a lot of power on each and every galaxy. Probably it can be a little time traveling thing. Since it's remain a mystery, I do love when things be mysterious and unknown. Probably the perfect way of being an outcast. Also the angles and demons should be the one to be feared by the climax brace. Since it's likely unknown where that mysterious treasure came from and neither the angels nor demons know what its capable of when the person who has a greater understanding towards it uses it. Bayonetta and Dante has a lot more in common now ever since the third game of bayonetta came out in 2022; Both can control/stop time for nearby enemies, both of them cannot die as I saw the part where bayonetta got her stomach pierced by a lukas monster form in the 3rd game, there both immortal to live up for eternity (even though she has her watch to avoid her from aging) and both have devil trigger showing there demon forms. Am lowkey a hard-core shipper and shipped Bayonetta and Dante so bad no cap what's so ever lol Ps. It had me wondering on what if bayonetta actual encounter Eva before since Eva became an umbran witch and told her the full story of Sparta, her husband and her two kids Dante and Virgil, what if Sparta was secretly a king of infernal In order to summon Sparta or do Sparta has an Enochian chanting towards it? Omg so many questions I'm really sorry lol 😅😅🥲🥲
I feel like in the recontextualized universe Bayonetta presents, Sparda was summoned with an Enochian chant. Just to think of one I would go with: LOADOHI DOSCH which means "Kingdom of the Night". I feel though, after enough time, Sparda just came whenever Eva needed him, kind of like whenever Madama Butterfly shows up for Bayonetta in her wicked weaves even if she does not summon her by chant. Sparda could have also been a king in Inferno similar to the way Alraune is a ruler of Inferno but both would probably not come close to the power of Queen Sheba or (especially) Rodin.
@@UmbranLumen I do agree. Both of them don't have the same power like Rodin since he was in Paradiso then was exiled to infernal and has a lit of infinite power. I had a lot of questions casue I was curious. Thanks for sharing me with these information Ps. I still ship dante and Bayonetta lol
If only lol. Specifically, what I would love is more information on witches from other locations like the creators of these accessories. Maybe set in the past, it's not like the series is a stranger to time travel.
I kinda hate the fact that these accessories became earrings in Bayonetta 3. Unique earrings were a part of each Bayo's design but these accessories swap them out.
Completely agree! I also think that because they were made earrings, they look less like "accessories" used to enhance a look. Now they are out of the way and hidden and that sucks a bit. Although it may be a bit much to ask, I would have preferred an option to switch between a bracelet and earring for the accessories.
Very good video! but i would like to hear opinions or gameplay focused strategies like for example moon of mahaa khalaa is able to defelct some ranged attacks and that it does not allow dodge offset since it interrupts the combo or that Evil Harvest Rosary is relly good for difficutlies where you dont have access to witch time
Thank you. I didn't think about gameplay strategies since I'm not really a very technical player haha I just like looking at the lore and origins of the names of the different things in Bayonetta.
Being navajo myself, and a bayonetta fan. I was pretty ...flattered? Lol by the 'Star of Dinétah' Granted its a lame accessory ingame, but at least the dark side of witchcraft in our culture made it to a game 😆 And fun video 🫶
I am glad you liked the video! I think it's cool to see other cultures highlighted in games. I think maybe they chose its ability since they probably read Navajo witchcraft is associated with healers which I also noticed but forgot to mention. Maybe they can buff it by increasing defense if used at full health or something, the same way Ribbit Libido-BZ55 does.
To unlock the Climax Brace, you have to collect all the Umbran Tears of Blood, which will unlock it from the Gates of Hell. (Normal way). You can also use the phone booth trick if you have 5 million halos. ( Secret way: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/wii-u/805639-bayonetta/cheats )
