One of my great aims whilst doing the weekly Saturday morning Parkrun is to try and visit as many different locations as possible. I have so far ran around 32 different venues and for my 33rd occasion I decided to take a trip to Barton Upon Humber in North Lincolnshire to participate in the Baysgarth Park Parkrun. It was a 35 mile trip for me, a drive of around 45 minutes mainly on the M180 Motorway & A15. I left home around 7.15am arriving at the Park around 8am so I could have 20 warm up and also have time to do some filming before Parkrun started. I had also brought a few tins of food for the local food bank. The course was all on Tarmac paths around 2 and a half laps of the Park. The course did have a few surprises in store for me though, especially a long twisty incline to the top part of the Park which seemed to go on forever! There was a downhill section of course but this was also twisty, bendy and zig zagging so it was hard to get your momentum going. Both these sections had to be negotiated twice. This was a hard threshold run in heart rate Zone 4 for me and I was not feeling my best. I didn't sleep very well and also I had ran a hard Threshold Interval Set only 24 hours before so I was pretty tired from that. Two days before I was also in the Gym and did quite a few Barbell and Dumbbell Squats so my glutes were definitely feeling it. The weather was also unkind with a moderate breeze and very heavy rain. I completed the course however in a time of 26.12 finishing 46th out of 114 Park Runners and came 2nd in my Age Group. So Baysgarth Parkrun completed Number 33 in a different venue and my 119th Parkrun overall
