Again, this is what all wannabe guitarists need to play guitar knowing full well the stage and bright lights will never be for us. We will blues players and can feel good about ourselves every time we practice and play. Thanks So Much!!!
Thanks so much for posting this. This track was THE defining one, that for what ever reason, finally unlocked the fret board door for me and provided the "light bulb moment" on playing pentatonic scales and linking them all over the neck. It's crazy how fast it all came together, almost like magic. I guess the rhythm and progression resonated with me deep down and I "saw the light". Now I'm flying all over the neck with confidence like a seasoned veteran. Even mixing a bit of modes with it too. Thanks again.
This got me. I am hooked. I am a rather mediocre sologuitarist although I play for an enternity it seems. I know my pentatonics and such stuff but I just didnt practice that a lot. Now your tracks are pure enjoyment. I can practice all day long, letting it run through the fingers without thinking or looking. Guitarists paradise, thats where you send me with that stuff. This goes for all that bluesy rock stuff from you. Marvellous.
That's the aim my friend. Thanks for taking the time such a supportive comment. Would you mind if I use it as a testimonial for this channel? I hope you get the chance to explore other musical styles beside rock/blues. I am sure you will experience new colors and adventures :)
Amazing! I'm only a beginner, I can jam along a little (but not very creative!) with the blues scale. I then noticed the diagram switched to Aeolian - never knew what that was, but I used the highlighted notes, targetting the root, and it works! Thanks for all your work putting this stuff up!

Thanks for taking the time to bring an idea to fruition. I play the guitar. It's my best friend. Also ...thanx to all the other uploaders who do the same as you. It's like having a band without the drama...
Well credit for this original idea goes first to 'Now You Shred' .. I took their idea and tried to include a few tips of experience along with the backings, then it became a trend. Thanks for your comment. Hope it could useful to some music players out there.
Soooo cool. I love the visuals and the explanations. I'm working on modes now and finally understandiing them, so when you threw in the Aeolian... it made my day. Gonna jam over this track for while. Thanks so much chusss Music.
Those litte hints and advices feel like being handed a water bottle during a marathon. Idk, it's just such a nice experience, and also such a great track. No doubt I'm recommending this.
Im a beginner, but I can manage to have fun with this, and the visible scales are really useful to know on what note to end up on! Thanks a lot for this :)
Sorry about that man. Sometimes it gets out of control. Here is a link for you to more jams on Spotify open.spotify.com/playlist/0JXKFhHKcbhSUJVThjZWYb?si=9k_6o6QCR4iEQqwp64nr_g Rock on :)
Thank you so much for this. And thanks for putting really useful stuff, such as scales and suggestions, on-screen while the video is playing. It's nice to hear a good drum sound, too.
Love jamming out to these. I always have liked practicing lead on an acoustic for a while. Then when I pick up an electric BAM! Makes me feel like Stevie Ray or some badass. It also helps me make sure I'm hitting every note with some feeling. As opposed to just blowing through millions of them and probably fuckin up half of them. Which I can do easily on an electric. Haha
Thank you for all the awesome music and background noise all that you do it means so much to me that you would take the time and show me tricks of the trade and how to be skillful and you're not even charging me a dime I thank you so much and I will contribute to your organization to the best of my ability because you guys have taught me so much and giving me so much inspiration thank you very much sign in and out this is David Rodriguez
Thanks David, please contact me by Email found on my about page here ru-vid.comabout if you like to send any contributions :) For now hope you have a good time with our tracks
Great tracks however just a word on an Am blues. In 99.99% of tunes, the V is E7 or V7. That said, there are tunes with a Vm but not too many. For BB, what is more likely, is a tune like the Thrill is Gone (Bm) where the turnaround is F7 - E7 - Bm. Or if you like, you could play the turnaround Fmaj - E7.
U injure your own argument. The entire point of percentages is that they be mathematically precise and accurate. Where is your data? Is it peer reviewed? Of course not. U simply made the number up
Hey there, man. I wanna thank you so much for the way you edit your videos. I haven't put in the time to learn "theory", so your addition of scales and chords, are helping me greatly in the learning process. Thank you, sir!
Always nice to hear a BB King-inspired chord progression that DOESN'T go obligatory with a VI chord :) When I hit play I was cringing a bit "please don't let this be a fast-tempo Thrill Is Gone please don't let this b......" All well as usual, chusss Music. off-this topic, I always find in open mics the number of people that can't refrain from closing the verses with a V chord: I IV I V IV I V % kinda like...... leave a LITTLE mystery in, huh? thanks for your great tracks man. often not doing the obvious is part of the magic :) Like "Hootchie Kootchie Man" has the double-length I chord in the beginning of verse...... the failure to do the expected becomes the hook:)
I also was hoping that this was not a "Thrill is Gone" back track however instead I cannot see what this backing track has to do with B.B.'s style of blues which was predominantly an 'uptown blues'-style incorporating lots of stuff lifted from the swing horn tradition of people like Louis Jordan. He even employed some ex-Basie players in his band to bring that sound into his band. This tune is like a 1970s blues rocker. Fine but poorly named for people looking for that King vibe.
It was this track that taught me to play a harmonic minor on the 12th bar. That 7th note is the key to making that last E chord work. Gotta hit the E flat note right when that last E chord hits. It's the living end!
Anyone know if this Raphael Warnock shit is being fact checked or is it all just based asf is all I can think about rn. If so, why you gotta do that Raphy? Yous killin my groove man.
