Hey Jef. Well, here is what I noticed. If you play the backing track grabbing your guitar and immediately start to play along it would be hard to come up with anything creative because in this case you would play based on usual melodies already in your memory/muscle memory. What I like to do is to let the backing play for a minute and listen to it without even holding the guitar. Original lines/phrases usually come quickly, then I will hum them with my voice or just repeat them inside my mind then grab my guitar and apply them by fingers, see in what scale they are played.. This might take some time to train, but once it's installed on your system it will work like magic for you... :) Happy playing.

@@chusssMusic first of all I would say thank you for sharing this instrumental to play along with! Second of all I will say that yes sir I'm a little bit tipsy right now LOL! But you know what I normally find my groove in that way. And there's so many creative ideas I wish I could use during this time and I appreciate the 12.02 seconds to play along with. Master of the telecaster Eddie Collins! I had a real good time playing along with it just being creative and doing what I know how to do cuz I love to listen to SRV! And I know Eddie was one of his better influences like Albert was! So lastly I would say thank you for letting me enjoy myself thank you for sharing his back tracking I appreciate it have a good evening sir!!

This rocking upbeat 'jam along' has restored my faith in backing tracks ! It's gr8, it's fast paced and ideal 4 shredders like me It isn't overfilled & busy with junk makeshift overly loud keyboard sax or violin or anything else as 'obviously done on a keyboard' to cause disturbance and one can freely noodle away without any such fears. Oh and 'Hallelujah!' There's no annoying intro with some other fret board finger flinger holding up the show for 30 seconds or so b4 you get a go!

Thank you!! I've been working on my scales and this just helped me a lot. Something just clicked while watching this and playing along to help me understand how the Minor and major scales can work together. It really feels like all the practice I've been putting in just fell into place all at once.

@@xabiercalvoibarguren4199 Uh... I know it's been awhile but maybe I can Help. Country Blues is actually Minor (Aeolian) and Myxolydian (flat 7's) but doing it that way gave me headaches. I started just using chord forms and modifiers (2, flat3, 3,5,6,flat7) and changing keys with the progression (it's more like bass technique) A lot of players do it. Steve Miller, Keith Richards. The solo for "honky Tonk Women" I do in 4 keys (cuz it's got 4 chords).

major blues is such a strange and awesome thing. one guy says "this is a major blues scale" and another says "no, this is how it goes"! truth be told, over the years ive realized that i can play like 10 notes in the key all depending on the phrasing of the lick. its like the major minor and dorian scales had a mutant love child. gawd i love this shit.
