There's now a problem: Astons (Viz overlays) on the BBC News channel. Now that all the overlays come from Salford, the NC's viz is not synced anymore (like it used to when still came from London), instead all the overlays are part of the Salford's image feed and the texts get smaller when the feed is zoomed out to make room for BSL. Previously NC's viz was synced with BBC One's viz so although the image got smaller, the text overlays (headlines, names, and live location) remained in place and at the same size (the overlays were separate from studio's images, being placed on top of the studio image + BSL). They can't do that anymore with feed from Salford including all the overlays. This is the same problem as well as Breakfast.

it's pretty interesting to see that, even with the location change, the network feed continues to show BBC London headlines instead of switching to North West, I guess London is going to remain the default region for when another region fails to opt out. I guess the location of the national broadcast doesn't actually matter, because after all, the BBC London lunchtime bulletin comes from a different studio in NBH (Studio D); and the North West bulletin also comes from a separate studio in Salford.

Network feed is actually the News Channel, London is the Net feed for the Six & Ten

@@EverythingFavs right, so the News channel would be showing Sportsday headlines; which, of course, also come from Salford (but from a different studio I assume)

@@moelester7527 or maybe they just stand at another part of the studio with the graphic. They also do this when BBC News at 6&10 and BBC London are in the same studio.

1:49 You can see London actually opted out, shown by the headline text cutting out instead of sliding up smoothly, showing that the London headline wasn't the network.

@@mtlh01p apparently North West did the exact same thing, so basically the News Channel (Sportsday) still remains the network feed for the NAO. Which makes sense as Sportsday also comes from Salford.

I wonder how they manage to ensure all regional feeds handover back to the network at the same time.

The main ops basically tells all regions and op outs how long they have until it's time to rejoin the news program

I would assume they still do the classic "Opt out, opt out!" then a 10-second countdown followed by "Opt in, opt in!" for the regional headlines.

Honestly, this is nice! The astons though... Even if I gonna miss the time when it still in London, this is still a great change for me! And also, old BBC iPlayer logo at 22:33 😩
