It's funny though, they use an algorithm that is supposed to make the voting as exciting as possible, but Sweden still took the lead by country 3 and never looked back.
It was after this year that this algorithm was taken in place. Christer Björkman(the guy sitting next to Loreen in the green room) thought the voting wasn't very exciting so he implemented this technique for ESC 2013(where he was the executive producer) in Malmö and that has been used ever since
Euphoria was one of the best and most memorable winning songs, one of the best from the last 2 decades. Albania had a great entry that year, their strongest representation though they are usually underrated. Russia was overrated this particular year and I loved Serbia’s song too. P.S. Love the British commentator. He is spot on!!
Albania had a formidable song, so above anything else Eurovision. The other songs were really just la la songs compared to it. Albania is criminally underrated at Eurovision.
I'm Swedish so this probably means nothing. But I absolutely love this song. Still get goosebumps when I watch it. And I remember it the first time I saw it in the Swedish Melodifestivalen. It just felt like a winner. We love you Loreen!
Yeah. The same thing happened here. The Mello performance wasn't even over and my family members went'' Yeah, this is winning the whole thing''. It was a really cool moment.
I get goosebumps everytime I hear euphoria, it's been 8 years and I'll probably get them as long as I live. Never been as proud to be a swede as I was back then in 2012
It was because of the time zone difference. Eurovision this year happened during night time in Baku making Eurovision more tired then before. Also the worst hosts of the 2010's.

Stelios TV He always says something shady about Balkan ballads, even though they are all amazing and some of my favourite songs. In 2014 and 2015, when Montenegro actually did reasonably well for once, he said both years that "that song does not deserve to be on the left hand side". I love graham norton, but not when he talks shit like that!!!
Norway, Israel, UK, & Finland are huge contenders this year especially Israel and Norway I will admit tattoo is an amazing entrant but it's not guaranteed to win
On Melodifestivalen the year after, they made one of the hosts go to Italy and meet with the guy who gave points from Italy and filmed him saying "12 points to Sweden" as a joke about that.
