On 15 July 2019, BBC refreshed its graphics and used a different font for their main headlines. Please contact me and not RU-vid if you would like for me to take down this video. Music by David Lowe and BBC.
Michelpp - We forget about George Fenton’s contribution from 1986 to 1999, not forgetting long standing Newsnight to BBC News, only until 1999 did I see Countdowns, I hadn’t heard of David Lowe until 1999, when news moved out of N2 into TC7.
I am from North East India one of the most rural part of India bordering mayanmar .Back then we don't have a TV set in our home and cable world news in our village except at Catholic Don Bosco High school. At break we rush to see TV news and always find our priest watching BBC news with this theme song. And this theme song even reminds us when pope John Paul 2 nd passed away
As the 200th comment i would say that this music will make you feel that you do something/be someone important. Due to it's strict tune. In my opinion it's the best possible countdown can ever be made!
I actually found this by accident so very glad I did I was googling up something and I seen this thumbnail of the weatherman drumming to the theme song of BBC news and he had this funny goofy smile on his face and I went on RU-vid and looked it up and I found it
That's awesome. I love how it the music builds up as the clock is winding down. But, what is the significance of 76 seconds? As opposed to 60, 80 or 90?
The BBC doesnt have adverts, although it does advertise its own programmes. They can make countdown start at any second that they wanna, bc its just a filler between the last programme and the News beginning exactly on the hour, so there was 76 seconds left when this was recorded between the programme before and the news starting
Interesting that the counter for the subdivision of a second is running in 25ths of a second (it starts to countdown from 24 and goes to 00, so 25 in all).
@@chuckychuck8318 Then the news is just like “1 million people died of the black death today in london alone, whilst a further 3 million became unemployed due to the unprecedented economic downturn caused by the pandemic. Oh and global warming is going to kill us all. And it doesnt matter anyway because there’s a 60% chance Earth will collide with Mars in the next week.”
Well that’s one thing the British are good at. Managing to make a lasting symbol (or…piece of music) ever since like the 90’s. It just has that adrenaline rush within the theme. Could work as a livestream countdown. (Holy shoot it’s making me proud to be a Scot (even though a more patriotic song there is “Scotland the brave”)
1.Can someone find me the 'heartbeats' or similar like 'beeps' or 'toots' clips/audios please so I may use for vid making ,background or score etc.? 2. Are these channels music and/or of BbBC music is copyrighted or can be used as "fair-use politics" in RU-vid or is it free to be use? 3. Die hard BBC guy, consumed lot from it. May be I can put in good place. Thank you for the channel's work. From India with Love.! #infinatiAM
