Description from the BBC Watchdog website
"First stop Wakefield, Yorkshire where we previously investigated Brian Lloyd who traded as The Gas House. His speciality was servicing fires, which would have been fine -- except he was breaking the law by doing so as he had been struck off the Corgi register twice before.
He was also being investigated by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) for causing a gas leak at a customer's home. But in 2009 we heard he was STILL at it. So we called him out to a house to service a fire and we sat and watched his work with expert Jamie Cooper on hand. As soon as Jamie saw anything illegal we would go and talk to Brian Lloyd. And we didn't have to wait long:
Jamie: "He's now taking the screws out of the fire. And then as soon as that fire comes away that's it he's broken the law. There we go. He's now broken the law."
As Brian Lloyd didn't have a gas safety card his actions were illegal. We told him as much and he replied by saying he had his papers. He didn't. His past caught up with him a few months later, when in February 2010 the HSE prosecuted him for causing that gas leak -- and he was once again banned from doing any gas work.
Then in May 2012 he pled guilty to two offences against the Gas Safety Regulations and one charge of breaching a Prohibition Notice. He was ordered to do 250 hours community service and ordered to pay £500 toward costs."
