BBC's Sherlock theme on piano 

Jazzlock , I'm dying.

This is more than just an improvised version of Sherlock. This is some kick-ass jazz with some Sherlock thrown in the mix.

I think the BBC needs to hire you, they can have an episode next season with a scene set in a ball or posh restaraunt with this playing in the background. Would be frickin amazing! :)

This is absolutely the most wonderful cover I’ve seen of the Sherlock theme on RU-vid to date, and I’ve watched a great many of them. I cannot get over the amazing movement of your hands, especially with the clusters at 1:53. The first time I watched it my jaw dropped. I’ve had your cover downloaded onto my phone for a long while for listening purposes only, but I am only recently trying (and struggling) to learn even the first page! I’ve played piano for 10 years so far and I really want to get into learning some more jazz pieces- when I stumbled upon your video-albeit far too late- I was instantly mesmerized by your technique. I still cannot even fathom that this is an improvisation! I can only work with sheet music, so many thanks to the kind soul in the comments down below who transcribed this for us aspiring pianists. Thank you sir for this absolutely gorgeous cover, and I can’t wait until I can play it! :)

I'm new to piano so maybe I don't know how to put this into the right words... but there is something expressive and full of personality and emotion and thought provoking in your playing. It has as much impact or more, than Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody - really stunning. Your piano sounds alternately like someone singing, growling, arguing, moaning, laughing, shrieking, reading a bedtime story to a child, whispering conspiratorially, joyfully skipping down the sidewalk, boxing in MAdison Square Garden, stalking angrily up the stairs and then slamming a door, insanely demanding revenge on their deathbed, climbing up in their parent's lap and asking for a favor, on and on. This is genius level art. I could listen to this over and over. At first I said to myself, "there is a loose brace on your tripod swinging around and distracting me", and then it was the least of my worries because you started dragging all these emotions out of me and then hitting the pedals so hard the entire setup was wobbling. Madman.

I know this was hella a while ago so you probably won't see this comment. But. For that crazy run around 1:50, any tips on how to do it? are you just hitting random notes? because going up it seems within the key. Any other general tips? I've learned and memorized this piece up until the 3:00 minute mark and gosh it is not easy, but it is learnable. Cheers for this,
