I remember this ABBA melody selection - between 9 and 10 years old and at junior school. I also remember ABBA finishing when I was 12.

I have always clearly remembered 'Money Money Money' from around this time, because I was actually scared of it. Only now do I realise that I remember it from the BBC schools programming interval.

I remember a female announcer that, during sizable gaps between programmes, used to play pop tunes over the dots - often heard Daydream Believer by The Monkees and Summer Nights by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John playing over slides and dots - I am sure I even heard Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel on a few occasions - announcer went into radio DJ mode!

I'm 44 now and for about 40 years I've associated 'Daydream Believer' with memories of the Test card. Thanks for confirming it :)

I well remember these tunes when at junior school, so takes me back over 40 years ago (now aged 52!) Having a musical background with a very good memory for tunes, I also have perfect pitch!

@@stephenmcconnell1000 Yes the test card tape, Baby I'm A Want You, contained tracks from Bread, Cat Stevens and The Monkees amongst others.

Arthur Vasey Night Fever by the Bee Gees and School Yard by Cat Stevens were also on the BBC1 interval play list at the time as well.

@@stuartharris2165Remember those tunes too, Stuart. That's how I encountered them in the first place. A less complicated era to grow up in- I wouldn't want to be a child now!

The tunes played here are 'Money Money Money', 'Dancing Queen', 'SOS' and 'Mamma Mia'.

Is this a reconstruction using Flash (or similar)? The picture quality looks too good too good for old VHS footage converted to digital
