16:00 Lady said that "Awamori" is made from Thai rice but this is kind of misleading I think. People in Okinawa uses "Long grain rice" to make Awamori, not necessary to be Thai rice.

And this thinkings have given rise to Japan's unique teachings, culture, and behavior. For example, it is fundamentally connected to the Japanese mindset of "Behaving in a way that does not bother others in public places," "Helping each other if someone is in trouble," and "Not doing bad things even if no one is watching." And one of the teachings of the ancient Shinto religion, "Purify yourself (kiyome) by getting rid of Defilement (kegare)," has been taken over today as a basic manner to "Not pollute even in public places," to “Always keep the environment clean”, and to make everyone, regardless of status or gender, feel comfortable equally. This is also the wisdom of living in the drastically changing natural environment unique to the island countries. And this wisdom has been formed into a unique Japanese culture over a long period of time. The ancient name of Japan, "YAMATO" or "WA" (peaceful harmony between people and nature), represents the wishes and reality of the people who have been trying to survive in the rich and harsh natural environment unique to island countries, which is different from the dry and stable land of the Eurasian continent. Tradition is the core foundation of Oriental region. Tradition is saving us from destroying from being collapse. Western country don't value tradition that is why Gun fight, broken family situation, drug addiction, teen crime, isolation is common phenomenon there. Japan is the perfect example of maintaining their positive tradition as well as modernity.

It is very foolish to talk about something that has been handed down for more than a thousand years with a new value system that is less than a hundred years old.

神の島に女性が入らない＝女性蔑視と捉えるのは間違い。神道のことをお勉強されないで日本を語るのは無理ですよ。伝統に縛られているのではなく、伝統を守っているのです。沖縄の説明といい何処かの国が喜びそうな内容で正しい歴史観ではありませんね。リベラルの特集なのでしょう。
