All the episodes of the series are great but the ones that Shaun Evans have directed are awesome ! He used the music in total synchrony with the action and the setting , especially when he uses opera music it engages us in a deeper way. We at home only wish that the producers ignore the original books and show Morse and Joan getting married finally; some literary freedom is needed for the end of the series. All the feedback from the audience is telling the producers to bring closure to the feelings between Morse and Joan ; please LISTEN!!!
