I first heard The Cranberries when I was 13. I was amazed at Delores O'Riordan's voice, I was a black American girl from a small town in Michigan, USA and it was not cool too listen to this kind of music.. I was labelled eccentric for listening. THe Cranberries came to Michigan and saw them in concert. I will never forget you and your music will live on.
ArcanePath360 It's acaully the deepest accent on our Island , really strong it takes a lot of time to like it and that's a big if, the middle class and upper class like dolores accent is nice but mostly Limerick accent isn't nice one bit 🍻☘👍 I'm a jackeen by the way Irish ppl 🎲☘🇮🇪🇨🇦🇮🇪👍
Irish people are rarely pretentious, they are always themselves and they do not feel they have to be funny and smile all the time.......they are honest and do not give a shit what others think.....they are so fucking real and human......I love Cranberries so much........an iconis band
One of those people you miss without having ever met. You can tell how gentle and sweet she was. So poised and pure. I hope she’s found peace. A voice that always puts me in tears. We love you so much, Dolores.
The way she behaves here reminds me of my best friend who has Bipolar Disorder. I'm not saying Dolores had it, but she had that sort of...fog...between herself and the world around her here.
Pull yer head out yer ass, mate. She had a disc herniation in her upper back which was very painful. The only way to avoid pain was to not move.@@5wheels178
Listened to nothing but metal for 43 years. Then I heard Delores sing. WOW. Still listening to metal and still listening to the cranberries. Was fortunate to see them in Manchester. Count myself very lucky. They'll never be another like her. RIP DOLORES. And thank you ❤️😢
@@MetalGearyaTV Poor soul..... I knew she had suffered with depression on and off for several years. I know it's been a while since her passing but every now and then I revisit her work and feel sad all over again that she is no longer with us.
Mental Health Issues found in many people must continue to be De stigmatized". It WILL SAVE LIVES. NEVER OTHERS THEY STATED IN A National Medical Journal. Managing, Understanding the patient requires "patience' from others". Most of all, ITS ALL OF US PUTTING IN THE TIME TO HELP YHOSE AFFLICTED. You may find out you need some TLC yourself. Its ALL LOVE FOR YOUR FELLOW HUMAN. SOMETHING DEFICIENT IN OUR " CYBICAL AND FEARFUL SOCIETY IN 2019" Another Medical Social Survey explained. One Human helping the next and vice verse. Not everyone has time. It becomes a job. She was talented and a beautiful soul. R.I.P. Dont feel sorry for the ones passed . Mourn them yes. Feel sorry for the livibg. Especually those whom have never found " True Love" during their lifetime. Now their are TWO WORDS that are thrown about LOOSELY IN MODERN SOCIETY RIGHT😏😔
I'm well familiar with the same mental health issues and the same horrific abuse that Dolores struggled with. As i have endured and fight this . And yes Bipolar/ mental health conditions take such a stigma. Society misunderstands what they CANNOT SEE!! If it were any other visible disease, involving losing your hair and wasting away from cancer or losing a leg from diabetes . Then it would be okay. But because it is psychological its a so easy for the unaware and uneducated to judge. That is when people assume she's on something here. Let me clarify that the inbetween moods of bipolar make one appear to be taking drugs. The inbetween moods of bipolar is like a grey day that refuses to go away. somber and just blah. And in when you are in the limelight everyone miserable wants to point fingers. Assuming she is using drugs. The inbetween moods of bipolar completely overwhelms and overtakes all of you physically and psychologically. You shutdown and you are so numb. It sucks the life out of you if you are not in the right frame of mind to fight. This is the life of bipolar disorder. And its a bitch!! People will say "well you get the creativity and beautiful talents." Talents (music) that reach out and give the ones that cannot express what they are going through. When we go through tough times as human beings and are desperately craving to be understood. We have all been there. I feel her numb and grey here. Maybe I'm very wrong. But just because you cannot "SEE" Bipolar do not assume that "she's not well here" or she delayed her tour because of "BACK PROBLEMS". It sends a surge of bitter and anger through me. When one puts it like that in writing on social media like i just wrote it.Because you assume. You assume because you cannot see physical or emotional pain. Not drugs here!! And if it was drug does it really matter in the end? She was a beautiful soul.
dmrobbins73 Yes, people assume what they cannot see outwardly Also the back problem could’ve made it worse coz physical pain added onto existing emotional pain only makes it harder to deal.
girls writes: she is tslking about her spine, lots of prople have spine problems: so why are social media intelligence ops vommiting their libellous diarreahoa all over the comments on her videos clips like this on you tube?: I would recommend that if unintelligent intelligence would like to NOT make it obvious that Dolores was murdered by intelligence then maybe they should SHUT THEIR MOUTHS ON SOCIAL MEDIA
I am heartbroken that the band I grew up listening to can never get back together. They were going to have another tour but her very recent back problems ended any chance of that happening. RIP Dolores and thank you for the music and the memories. I'll miss you.
Such a beautiful beautiful looking woman. Was an unbelievable shock when i got the sky news notification on my phone. I love their music and her own music too. Have all their cd's. And have just spent the last 3 hours listening to a lot of it. Rest in peace Dolores ❤️😢
Rest in peace Dolores. You and your angelic voice will be heard and loved for years to come. Your music will always be a part of memories that I'll never forget.
@@anthonyobrien3841 More of this underrated nonsense. The amount of times I've seen this dumbass comment. "DA Vinci, what an underrated artist. Never seems to get the shine that guy. Not fair. 😔
We miss you, a lot! 💚 Thank you for the song about my country at the time of war and aggression against my country. We will never forget. Bosnia & Ireland - friends! 💚
Omg this is so devastating bc I listened 2 her music everyday growing up as a teenager 😭She was my childhood. Love her so much and she will be deeply missed 🙏RIP Dolores 💙
Im from Puerto Rico and was fortunate to see them live in my island in the early 2000’s. Until these day that was the best show I ever been to, Dolores amazing voice and energy and the whole band sounded amazing. The crowd was going wild from beginning until the end. RIP Dolores ❤️
Yeah, I've been on The Cranberries gig in 2010, and it was by far the best concert I've ever seen. The band was so cool and professional. And I love them so much.
I'll never get over Delores' death. She was my biggest inspiration to put my heart on the page and then sing from it in front of crowds of people. I'll love her forever for that, and for the music you and the Cranberries produced. I will always remember when the first album came out, "Everybody Else Is Doing It, Why Cant We". A friend and I were discussing and reviewing it. My friend stated, "It's a bit depressing though, isn't it?" To which my reply was, "So what? Are you happy ALL of the time!?" Delores' heart dismantling tones and ballsy attitude will stay with me forever. God bless your wonderful soul, and I'll see you up there mate!
@@whatisinpi7689 We Christians and Irish are clear to us, despite the fact that we are on opposite sides of Europe. God, family and homeland. And Dolores!
they been through to SO much that people forget that they started from the age of 15 when Facebook Twitter Instagram and any kind of social media never existed. they became so famous in a matter of days ALL over the world people tend to forget this. People also forget that their first album was so sad and depressing that it makes Adele's second album a happy poppy album (yes the one that she cries over her split in every single song). to have a band singing about split ups broken promises suicide living alone and death at the age of 15 is something that no one will expect nowadays. welcome back cranberries
@Mature you act like they were the only band to be around before social media and to sing about real world problems. News flash, they weren't. No one forgot, they just didn't care.
Really saddened by this, grow up as a teen in the 90s listening to Cranberries with my friends. God rest Dolores Riordan she seemed like such a wonderful genuine person, she is finally at peace from this cruel world.
I've heard a lot of songs by The Cranberries, not just Zombie, and I can thank my Dad for that. If you listen to Zombie and not any other songs by The Cranberries, then that's like going to Ireland and only visiting Dublin!
zombie was for me also most recognizable (because they pushed it in tv and because of clip). although i consider it now more like average. but theirs Lp "no need to argue" i have in my heart. for me one of best of the bests ever. every song in this Lp is pearl! i still can't believe that she's gone. R.I.P. Dolores! for everyone who loved her one beautiful song with epicly suited title for commemoration: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tIdIqbv7SPo.html
non Yeah, it was awfully hard for me to believe it too. I thought 2018 would be better than 2017 was, and I was proven wrong after not very long at all. I can imagine how my Dad must feel - I don't think there are any albums by The Cranberries which he doesn't have, and it was from him that I found out about The Cranberries in the first place. RIP Dolores O'Riordan 1971-2018
Peter Downey: "All the love in the world is just a spark, to the Great Flame of love which is God." -Venerable Archbishop Futon J. Sheen So I hope you are praying for her kind admittance to the Kingdom of the Heavenly Father and the Saints. She will be cheering you on along with them when she gets there. p.s. Send a couple Hail Mary's my way too.
When I was a teen in the late 90s, the only bands I listened to were Cranberries and U2 and that lasted for several years. The rest I couldn't stand because the music was so bad...
RIP Dolores O’Riordan lovely voice and talented artist I will forever miss you and love you always so much a part of my teen years to present will forever love you and your music all My love thoughts prayers and best wishes to your family and friends and band mates too 🙏💗
We can still show our love for her by praying to Angels and Saints for her kind admittance to the Kingdom with the Heavenly Father. Prayer requests can be forwarded to relevant radio.
This beautiful talented woman was gone nine months after this interview. She talks as beautiful as she sings. A one of a kind. Facially she changed very little from age 22 to 45.
This interview was in 2017 and in Jan 2018, Dolores left us forever. So sad to hear her say that, if health permits they want to do a year long tour and come out with a new album thereafter. But it ended so quickly. Miss you Dolores...RIP 😥🙏
Couldn't stand this band at one stage but over time really grew to like and respect their music. Sad she's gone. Way too young. Ireland really delivers many great musicians.
No scandals! You've conveniently airbrushed out the time where she attacked a whole flight crew, screaming "I'm an icon"! Then she headbutted a garda at the airport. Another time she flipped over a soup tureen at a restaurant and carrot soup went everywhere. She was a nutter!
one month ago i Heard by the first time linger, and i cant stop listening! i love it..... i knew about the cransberries, trought other songs! i love linger
She had to stop playing guitar. That's like losing a faithful reliable loyal friend who has always been with you through thick and thin. As an artist I can understand how heartbreaking that is. Art saves lives. Mainly the one creating it. RIP Delores. You are an ancestor now. Soul take flight!
