Animate Charisma didn’t go quite right transitioning back to the weather map instead of the ident at the end.

Thanks for this. I'd say it was nostalgia, but I think I'd have been way too young to remember any of this. Also, this clip makes it look like Santa Claus: The Movie was one of Barry Norman's Films of the Year. LOL. Which I suspect was not the case (as fun and underrated as that movie is).

I was fifteen back then and not keen on Seymour as I wanted Foggy. At that stage I would have been preparing to take my O Levels, which happened the following year. My maternal grandmother suffered a stroke in summer 1985 and she died in September 1986 (fortunately I had left school and started the YTS!)

Did they go back and forth with Seymour and Foggy? It always seemed that whenever I'd catch an episode of LOTSW one could never tell who was going to show up alongside Compo and Clegg on their various misadventures. I'm guessing they never had an episode featuring both Seymour and Foggy.

True, but reading up on the siege, it looks like the police did a good job for once. They couldn't stop the first murder which I believe occurred before they got involved, but they did at least save the two young girls caught up in the siege *without* killing the hostage-taker, who went on to stand trial and go to prison.
