Trying my hand at a Belgian Dubbel recipe today. I was able to hit 75% efficiency, that's the most I've done, I usually run around 62-67%, but I've been following the Beersmith program data inputs and trying to hit different numbers for the end result. I'm pumped.
Recipe is as follows, I really was inputting recipe according to percentages, adjusting the amounts of grain to reach the percentages, this is what I came up with. Enjoy.
Mashed 152F 60min
2 Row 7lb 8oz
Munich 1lb 4oz.
Biscuit Malt 8oz
Crystal 60 8oz
Chocolate Malt 3oz
Special B 3oz
Dark Candi Surgar 16oz (at the beginning of boil)
Willamette 1oz at 60min
Saaz 1oz at 10min
Dry Yeast Safebrew Abbey Ale BE-256

Thank you for taking the time to put these videos out really digging your content, simple to the point with enough tips for a beginner to learn from....how did that nelson cashmere pale turn out?

You're Welcome! I appreciate the feedback. The Nelson turned out very nice. It needed an extra 5 days of sitting on the keg to really appreciate all of the subtle hop flavors. I'm going to put that on video too, besides the little sneak peek on this video.

That's good to know, I'd like to keep brewing the style if it turns out well.

Willamette (will-am-it). I remember how to say it by saying well damn it!

Good to know. I only used it once before in an Old English Ale recipe that I loved actually. Reminded myself of something I need to brew again.

I typically start with 6 gallons, so I'd say around 3 gal.

I'll tell ya, it's the best batch I've made so far. It's nice to have a proper dubbel at the ready.
