Celebrated in this episode:
Wayne Farey started with Campbell Construction Ltd. in 1979, and was General/Operations Manager for over 27 years before becoming its President.
Wayne is the son of Ken Farey, one of three journeymen carpenters who founded W. Campbell Ltd. in 1964. Along with William (Bill) Campbell and Archie Campbell, Ken Farey, formed the Victoria-based construction company whose mission was to deliver superior craftsmanship on all projects, big or small. In 1976, the company became Campbell Construction Ltd, with Ken Farey taking the helm as President. Today, Campbell Construction remains committed to its mission, has grown its workforce to over 250 employees, and operates under the progressive direction of Ken’s son, Wayne Farey, President.
Campell Construction Ltd.'s major projects have included 1515 Douglas & Pandora, Ironworks, Capital Park, Sayward Hill and Yates On Yates.
We are proud to feature Wayne Farey in BCCA's Legends of Construction podcast series, celebrating the leadership and innovation of those who built BC.
We thank Kirk LaPointe, for his contribution to this podcast.
