The first rule of gun safety is treat every gun as if it is loaded. Even if you know it's not loaded, treat it as if it is loaded. Ben knows his stuff.
I loved Ben's explanation about firearms on-set. He's absolutely correct about safety. This was once of the best Q&A's with Farscape actors I've seen in awhile. Very informative about on-set culture differences between shows, about working with Little People actors. It was adorable how he was cognizant of Aeryn's....oops Claudia (haha).... being in a darker part of the stage. He's totally a good guy.
I still love them both and miss the show continuing… But even with the few timeline hick ups it is still my favorite sci-fi show ever and it is still so bad ass
I really appreciate that they were asked questions about more than one of their shows. I always feel bad for actors when every single question posed to them is about the same thing that they did many years ago, rather than a more recent, or at least a different production.

Movies too. She is a great actress and farscape is one of the most enjoyable memories thanks to her and ben. They really worked well on set and probably even better during interviews.
First of all: had waaaaaay to much fun as a german watching this….thx for the upload! 🥰 Second….this was 2016…Ben browder was 54 at this interview…..what the everlasting f***…..f‘n Genes man 😑😂
My hubby introduced to me their show FARSCAPE and we're currently watching their show lol, I begun addicted into it as of this moment, love their team!
One of the best sci-fi series of all time. Well actually just one of the best series of all time. They don't even allow them to make them like that anymore
Dang didn't know that about him but heard just about the same from my father. Especially with the outhouse around the 70s maybe a bit before. He said he hated visiting relatives as a kid. The no electricity, outhouse, probably the boonies. I remembering my grandma's house. The tall grass and train tracks. Father playing chicken with the train, boy was it loud, we got across the tracks obviously and beat it in some station wagon. Now that spot is still there in the ever expanding city. He told me the river where his father died, on that shore close by. Hard to keep track of other people's time when they start talking about relatives so far back you'd call them ancestors living in a teepee in a state park. He's done well to give me a different life but right now I'm feeling the need to look back after being reminded of it all.
@@peoples2296 nope, the original guardians comics were waaaay different. The recent characters you see in the movie were new comic changes that happened in the early 2000's and they were carbon copies of farscape.
@@FunkeeMawnkee Starlord, Gamora, Rocket, etc. have been around since the 70s. They may not have been the Guardians back then, but the characters are very old.
@@peoples2296 you are correct, they are all very old characters. However, lets just use one example, look at the styling, of star lord alone and then look at john Crichton from farscape. Quil and john look identical down to the red leather and dual wielding pistols not at all like the original 69 star lord. They even have the same type of back story: a human from earth in a distant galaxy that has ties to a powerful alien race and can wield incredible power. The outfit and story lines vastly changed from 69 to present I get that, but they stole a ton of character designs and plot points direct from farscape and used them in Guardians. I love them both just a little mad that it went down that way.
@@FunkeeMawnkee except Starlord's backstory precedes Farscape by decades. Are you saying Farscape stole from Marvel? The outfit is possibly inspired, but that's really all I can potentially see. Which imo is not a legit reason to be mad.
Ben will not shut up … dude, stop babbling and rein it in. Claudia, on the other hand, is articulate, funny, lively and informative She is a true work of art.
Damn I wish that I spoke German it's so cool the way they do that speak it so well hey Ben I'd like to have a pulse pistol too. oh I'm adventures love excitement danger I'll just go for it hell yeah. and there is just one more thing I enjoy as a way of saying later is Rock Paper Scissors shoot. thank you FarScape may cast members meet again.
"Ben always lies when answers this question, doo doo dooo". LMFAO!!! I had guessed that he ad-libbed a lot of the geek references. (I also love that in show, the other characters, even with translator microbes, would still have no idea what he's talking about). What year was this convention? Oop, never mind, looked at the comments, 2016, thanks. :)
And I still love the both of them so much even now even this close to the present day they both are human beings and I both appreciate the realism of things they have been involved in and have no problem talking about it but do it so well I love you both you both will go down as two of my favorite actors ever I don't care I'm kind of retarded I have great taste
11:25 It is really something that i felt back then. SG 1 seemed to be more fun then serious on set, while sg atlantis always felt like they were overly serious with a broom up their rear end. Which was the main reason i never really enjoyed the later to the same extend then the former.
Not to be the grammar or spelling guy, but in case English isn't your primary language I'll point them out to help: "Which was the main reason [I] never really enjoyed the [latter] to the same [extent] [than] the former." And I don't know, Atlantis grew on me. Now, oddly enough, I almost prefer Atlantis over SG-1. To me, both are golden compared to Universe, where they went full force on seriousness... but worse, the overacted artificial drama. Universe felt like the entire cast was a group of individuals unfit for life and couldn't handle anything, let alone to remotely be a part of any sort of military, or professional role.
@@JimBob1937 Not a native english tongue but i really can´t be ars*d to proofread on youtube when typing on phone. Autocorrect might give me a then instead of than end so on... but who cares. Time is valuable and anyone with more then one braincell gets the point either way.
@@snakeplissken1754 , haha, like I said, not meant as an insult. English isn't my wife's first language either, but she appreciates it when I correct her (and trust me, I've confirmed that, lol).
@@JimBob1937 I didn´t take it as an insult at all. Just saying it´s youtube, putting effort in grammar and stuff is like cleaning your car inside and out before you have it towed to the scrapyard. The worst that could happen is that someone thinks you´re simple minded, but the opinion of a random person on the internet has never been something i care or lose sleep about. So once again, no reason, no incentive, so no point to put in effort. Also, it is quite enjoyable how some people go full ballistic if you butcher their language, accidentally or not.
@@snakeplissken1754 , very good, just wanted to make sure. And yeah, I'm not that serious about it either. I definitely understood your original point. To go back to your original post then. If you thought Atlantis was overly serious, I'm curious how you felt about Stargate Universe. That felt full blown, over the top, serious with terrible false drama.
Lol imagine to be in the first row at a Con pannel with Claudia Black , yet the best you can do is to smootch with someone.. smh 😂😂 And to do it that obvious that even she notices from stage. Some ppl need professional help.
What a character! He must be a lot of fun at parties. His German is a lot better than his British accent. Wow was that bad, bad, bad. I didn't like his southern either. He should just stick to his natural manner of speaking -- and German. Oh, and I just realized that was Garrett Wang! HA!
thats funny because for me its differnt ... i saw both shows but for me they will always be Aeryn and John because i love Farscape more and before i join Stargate
