We live in the midst of a dark and uncertain world, but Jesus reminds us, not to hide but to be a light to the dark world around us. Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”. There can be many ways to be a light, but here are four fairly simple ways to shine it. Show acts of kindness, give to those in need, be patient, and encourage those who are discouraged. We know that God has commanded us to share the gospel with those we come in contact with. But sometimes we encounter resistance or we feel we are not equipped with the ability to speak to others well. Showing acts of kindness, giving to those in need and encouraging the down-hearted will show the love of Jesus and impact lives in a miraculous way.
