The Artist Formerly Known As Mr. Furly I had a phone that I would exclusively use to call suspected scammers or suspicious numbers back from messages or calls I received. I would also save these numbers in the address book. One day I opened a new alias facebook using this number and facebook had all these friend suggestions and people you may no suggestions that were primarily Indian or from out of this country and people I had obviously never known and it seemed like it was these peoples actual facebook accounts with pictures of their families and other things. It was an interesting find to say the least.
That is FALSE about D1 college football. You can 100% be a “walk on,” get playing time, and not be put on scholarship. There is a “preferred walk-on,” where the school/team wants you, but have given out all the allotted scholarships they had for that year, so they try and see if you’d walk on. It happens a lot with kickers and snappers. Also sometimes, if a player verbally committed to a certain school, then at the last minute decided they wanted to go to a different school, so they may ask them to be a preferred walk-on because they were out of scholarships, due to the fact they thought the player was going somewhere else and didn’t hang on to an extra scholarship. Sorry if I over explained that lol.
This is a good cautionary tale. Not good that it happened to you, but good that you have the humility to expose it & remind us all. Even people we think are friends can abuse & it is always smarter to do your own due diligence.
Chael, I'm going through that right now. My former friend and house-mate the last 5+ years, FUK'D me out of $8500 and fucked my life royally. I only get $988 a month for disability. Been disabled since 9/11/01. I was a roofer, and on the morning of 9/11/01, while walking across the roof, feet slid out from under me, slid down the roof, slid off it, and fell 24ft, hitting mostly feet first, w/ majority of the impact on my left side. (I was in the ER when the 1st plane hit)...So I got F'd up, suffer from depression since.. Many surgeries later, it's Dec 2010, Mom passes away after a 4yr bout of COPD...I took over the house which thankfully, I own outright.(Dad passed '94, brain & lung cancer) ..But because of my limited income I get, and the house needing work, my friend of over 10 years, basically begged me to move into my home, agreed to rent one of the rooms, and work on areas of the house that need updating (painting, sheetrocking etc)..because that's what he does), as he wanted to move out of his sister's house. From DAY 1 when I said he could move in, that I am relying on his rent money ever month to help pay the bills for this house, which I can't get behind on. Bills for the year, taxes, car, home owners Insurance,, elec, cable, etc, comes to about $17,000 a year. So with his rent, I'm covered for the year! He agreed!..Well he got behind on his rent many times, but would catch up in full when he got jobs. This happened a bunch over a few years, and he still had money to buy pot, food, and beer...So last year he got behind 4 months..I'm now basically eating 1 time a day, as money is stressed so thin, bills are piling up, and the end of year Home owners taxes coming due, car & home owners insurance all coming due in the middle of December...so about $6,500 I must pay out or get fines, penalties etc...It's November, he owes me a little over $6,500. (Jobs kept falling through, or the homeowner didn't like his work...basically excuses)....December comes and again he has nothing! I got maybe $1200 in my account and 2 of my bills get automatically debited from my bank. I'm LOSING MY SHIT OF COURSE! Now I'm panicking, got no recourse anywhere...don't have family to help out....all my friends are married w/ kids, so I can't ask them.], and depression is getting worse....MAJOR ARGUMENT of course.....He say's he'll get me my money plus the interest, fines/penalties he'll take care of as he has this big job lined up in January!..A cpl of weeks later he comes back home and shows me ALL this jewelry he's had at his sister's house that he says IS HIS, as it was his late fathers' watch, gold chains, rings etc...(He even shows me pictures of his Dad w/ some of these items on as proof these are his)..and says, let's go to the Pawn shop and see what this is worth? FINE. We go and the woman valued all these items at $6400!...I say SELL EM!...He says no. YOU HOLD ONTO THEM! I got a job coming up in 2 weeks and I'm making at least $9-$10 grand off it....Hold this stuff as collateral! If I don't give you the money in 2-3 weeks, go sell it and get your money, and he'll still pay the interest/fines/penalites etc on the major bills that I'm now gonna be late on. So in the meantime I haven't really been behind in bills in like 10 years! So I put $2500 on my credit card, for partial taxes, car and home owners insurance...now putting my credit card bill at like $4000+. Now because I'm on such a limited income, and bills being paid are way more important, I really can't afford to go out. Which is fine. Sucks, but fine....Now, I'm into watching this awesome show on You Tube, called the Movie Trivia Schmoedown! It's 100% legit movie trivia league, with 4 divisions: Singles, Teams (2 ppl), Innergeekdom (Pop culture movies like Marvel MCU, DC, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, James Bond, & more), and the Star Wars-Only division!...If you're into movies, trivia, it's awesome fun, and exciting as some of the matches are nail biters! Now this competition, the players in it, bust their asses studying, watching movies, taking notes that fill up notebooks and binders! they take this seriously! Now the kicker is, it also has story line, ala WWE-LIKE....Again, 100% Legit trivia, NO ONE is given the questions/answer before hand, it's NOT fixed, period...The ONLY thing that is a "work" is the created story lines based on rivalries, whom ever wins matches etc..They're actually quite good! The Schmoedown is based in CA., I think near LA..Anyway, they announced they were going to bring the Schmoedown to NYC for their 1st ever LIVE EVENT!. I got excited as I've been watching these people and this competition for 6 years now. And because it's getting bigger, they're going to major cities now, selling 500-1000 tickets....So dammit, I was gonna go!..Can't afford it, but I said F IT!..I never get out, and I'm into this thing! So I got my ticket.....Now, back to the SCUM BAG!...Now I never told him I was going...So that Friday of the show in Brooklyn, I went out early, got a hair cut for the 1st time in like 4 years, lol ....I went to catch an 1pm train as I was going to hang out with some of the people in the Schmoedown as I became friends with them over the years......I got my stuff on the counter, go outside to warm the car up (sine it's Jan 28th and like 20 degrees out)....WELL, THIS MOFO must have come down the stairs and saw my ticket & stuff on the counter as I went to warm up the car...I come in, hear him in the bathroom upstairs, I grab my stuff and leave...Have an AWESOME NIGHT! SO HAPPY! I get home at 2:30 am, my back is fukin SHOT! Knee and ankle are killing me, knee's puffy...lower back muscles in total spasm...I'm miserable..But for me, this was worth it!....I go in the kitchen, grab a glass to get some water, and only 2 glasses are in the cupboard? Nothing in the sink or dishwasher?..Open the fridge..it's basically cleared out!..I'm like UM, WTF?.....LOOK up stairs, his room door is open, I turn on the hall light and his room's EMPTY w/ just his matress on the floor! ..THIS PIECE OF SHIT, PACKED UP ALL HIS STUFF and SPLIT!....I go down to the basement into my room...everything looks OK...then it hits me! OMG, HE DIDN'T!?....I go into my closet, and the box I had ALL his jewelry in, WAS EMPTY!....THAT FU## TOOK ALL THAT COLLATERAL BACK! i'M FREAKING THE F OUT!....Call his cell...no answer...call again, no answer...leave him messages...not calling back...Get in the car drive to the places I know he goes...NOT THEIR....Call out other friends at 6:30am, and their not happy I'm calling, but they now understand why I'm calling and got NO IDEA where he is.....Get his sister's number, call her, and she's got no idea and tells me it's not her business, and between me and him! Tell her he owes me just about $8000 and because I don't have that money, I am royally FK'D!....She says NOT HER PROBLEM, but she'll try him...hours go by, call her back...He hasn't called her back & don't know where he is....His cell phone is not in service and sister couldn't give a shit! ...So now I'm in a ton of debt, eating a bag of Pop Tarts for Brunch, a Totino's Party Pizza's 3-4 times a week for dinner, a Can of Chnky Soup and half a bagel the other 3 days, got bills piling up, my house still needs a ton of work, which I can't afford to get done, and the little I'm doing looks like crap, the front n back yard looks like shit & overgrown...that money he owes me, at least bills would've been paid on time, get a cpl of things fixed, and at least some yard work done...but no....At least your friend didn't do this shit too you :(
I played college football, 1/2 scholarship for 3 years. a redshirt year, and two more. never got more than half. I know walk-ons that never did get a dime, but they played. Not sure where Chael got that one.

I think that's the biggest issue alot of dude have it's fun to talk shit with ur freinds but regardless of the matches Chael has lost. The actor, the guy making the coffee, the guy at kinkos Chael would litterally end your life. This dudes job was to kill people for a living.... Against not regular ppl like a director or producer. Against another trained professional killer. That's what always bother me about ppl that wanna talk tough. I don't want to hurt anyone that's not my job I don't get paid for it. After saying your thing to him after the fight and he sat back and said I’m busted you was supposed to then get up, take him by the collar, very nicely, with out doing harm to him, you don’t want police to be involved for hurting the guy, so softly taking him by the collar and showing him the exit, open that door let him walk half way through that door tell him to loose your number and time it just right so when you let the door go it taps him on the back side to help him on his way out. Unless he was a really good friend and it was a joke but he would have to be a really really good friend. Someone you just know who hooked you up once or twice then no I wouldn’t want that dude any where near me.

College football walkons CAN play in games, and do all the time. Baker Mayfield played, and started, his whole freshman year as a walk-on, and didn't receive a Scholly until he went to Oklahoma.
