Hey there everyone! Since you really liked the first part, the second part is on the channel too! Check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e0C6msTyDSo.html
We definitely owe this show an apology now, because this show is nothing compared to how awful Velma is. Hell, this show is like Breaking Bad compared to the new Velma series on HBO Max.
Just cancel HBO max. The showrunners already got paid. Having a corporate subscription is just dumping money into the hands of the idiots that greenlit Velma season 2.
It sucks that it took VELMA to make people realize that this show wasn’t bad. The comedy was good and the animation helped with that. And I loved this Daphne, she was finally fun and quirky and not just focused on beauty.
honestly this show was great to me! the only thing i hated were the character designs it looks like those family guy rip off style which i hate but over all it’s not bad
I had this exact thought so I decided to give the show a shot after so many years of (I only avoided because I couldn’t get past the ugly animation) and the first episode made me audibly laugh several times. Looking forward to the rest of the show.
@@nathalia2280 it is a show that your more likely to rewatch then than some of the other modern shows, what's new is good however watching it as an adult can be hard as it's made with a child's POV in mind so stuff like a giant monster shaggy mech is taken seriously despite the utter ridiculousness of it which the classics did poke fun of the people in monster suits of how stupid it is which is absent in it. mystery incorporated is also good though it depends on if you rewatch heavy story shows as it's believable for some to watch the whole thing once and that's it maybe a few rewatches but I think they would be a long break between watches. Guess who you end up picking the ones you rewatch based on who the guest is, the show focuses on the guest than the gang itself so it can be hit or miss especially with how they portrayed the hex girls which to those who weren't fond of how they were in mystery incorporated might have judged them too harshly
It really was just the art style. This show actually got some chuckles out of me. I was quick to judge and missed out on a pretty decent version of the mystery gang. They're not the originals but they're more like respectful parodies of the OG gang. It's like they added a bit of self awareness to the characters which is a fun take on them (unlike the Velma show which is pretty much just a different series with the Scooby Doo IP slapped on it). It's not gritty or serious as Mystery Inc but it's definitely not the worst version of the gang.
I actually wasn't a huge fan of the gritty direction Mystery Inc. took, but I never even heard of Be Cool until ppl started apologizing to it since Velma XD
I really loved this incarnation of the series. There wasn't any needless romance between ANY of the gang taking up half of the attention, it was just good old mystery solving with some gags once every Episode. The characterization was also something I love: Fred wasn't a generic Leader Nice Guy, Shaggy and Scooby weren't completely spineless and Daphne was interesting for once. Velma also had her moments of being actually funny.
Plus they weren't complete assholes to each other. Sure, Fred had a lot of hubris, but he wasn't a total shithole to the point of being insufferable. Scooby was also sarcastic but not a total dickhead.
Hell yeah! I really need to get back to it. Watched, like, a season, and had to focus on life. I reaaally loved this gang's interaction and quirks. Like, everyone got something to bring to the table, but two people stand out imo: Fred being done with them most of the time is hilarious and new. Daphne having personality and flippant plus ultra attitude IS something entirely else.
I always felt bad they never gave this show another season. It was sincerely funny, a rather different approach, and they made Daphne the comic relief for once instead of the damsel in distress. It made me like her more as a character.
@@iordanvassilev8091 I am still sad that this has probably been the worse case of "judging a book by the cover" for a show I have ever seen. I'm imo a bunch of people abused it for social media hate bait because " It looks like family guy so lets hate it"
The Iceman part was less of an outsmart and more of a cruel prank. Bruh they stayed with that iceman for far too long and broke that man's heart. Playing with feelings man XD
Lol, this is how you do something and different and crucially, something creative. Instead Velma is nothing more than a self insert where the only thing you've created is a vehicle for your insecurities.
Never thought this show was bad but I understand the hate with the art direction and complete opposite tone of Mystery Incorporated lol. This is 10x better than Velma ESPECIALLY in comedy.
I mean, every Scooby Doo incarnation has a different and distinct animation style, so I don't have a problem with this one. Mystery Inc had a more serious animation style to fit with it's serious and dark tone. Be Cool has a more comedic art style to fit with it's more comedic tone
One of my favourite gags of the series was Shaggy, Scooby and the Monster all getting trapped in the same Vending Machine. It was so weird and nonsensical. I just loved it. Rule of Three, guys.
"What gang couldnt use two me" "Ours." Velma effed up by screwing up the characters but they effed up even more by removing scooby. Most of the comedy is when scooby says something unexpected with that wacky voice of his. That deadpan "ours" made me laugh harder than any dialogue from Velma show
I remember thinking this show was gonna be bad when I first saw trailers for the show way back, and then ended up enjoying the humor they put into it. Subverted my expectations fairly well, I like this show 👍
I think the problem was that it was released in the era of the CalArts explosion art style that many animated shows around 2016-19 were released, which made people off about the series
@@markeyiszra Mystery Incorporated was never cancelled. It was a self contained story arc and the show finished when the arc was done. There was no point in continuing the show when the main story was finished.
Fred: "See, I told you I'd find where we were if you'd just give me five seconds." Shaggy: "But we didn't." Fred: *sigh "I give up" Scooby: "That'a boy Fred!"
First, I'd never heard of this two days ago. Then, I thought it looked stupid. Now I've laughed at every single one of these clips. I love them, and I probably have Velma to thank for sending us all looking for actual entertainment. And thank you for posting this.
I bet many who ridiculed and unfairly dissed it are looking back at it now with regret and newfound respect because of Velma. Still think Be Cool is terrible now?
@@imaniscott8535 but if you look past the art, its still Scooby-Doo at its core and is just like the other shows so I will NEVER understand the hate. Especially compared to Velma which is far worse and at least the hate there is warranted.
@@ethancleveland1450 look past the art? okay since when is it part of daphne's character to be talking with sock puppets? Look, I wont' sit her and say "velma is a great show" it ain't. But certainly better than this shit. I didn't find it funny. I found it insulting by its art alone. be cool is trash. simply put. velma at least has good art. Even if I hate so many things about it I can at least watch it.
shaggy at 1% of his power allows him to beat up any monster. shaggy at 2% of his power allows him to warp reality so that he and scooby can do improv in front of the monster.
It’s always entertaining when you see Shaggy and Scooby fooling the people in costume. Honestly those two are due more credit from the gang. Seriously I have not once heard Fred or Velma or Daph congratulate them on being able to distract in the most hilarious of ways.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 Yeah, you’d think they’ve seen people fooling monsters with a fake dinner date before. Even if they did I’d be especially impressed in the case of a damn pothead and dog doing it.
@@ed_Skynight Yeah Shaggy and Scooby never get praised for their work. Like a pot head like my boi shaggy doing all the stuff he's doing to distract monsters with his dog rarely gets praised about it.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 To be fair, Fred, Velma, and Daphne are almost never around to see it when Shaggy and Scooby pull these tricks, because it usually happens after they split up. The one time I saw Shaggy pull Velma into it instead of Scooby, she was too confused and too scared of the monster to register how great Shaggy's trickery was.
The whole thing with the dude and his 3rd grade teacher who told him he'd never climb Mt. Everest's invisible twin, Mt. Flappy McFlunken is a way more accurate depiction of psychosis than anything in Velma
People jsut didn't like there look I mean it's supposed to represent them on summer break before collage after 12th grade in Mistires incorporated and Scooby doo and guess who is them in collage
@@hasibchowdhury1742 mystery Inc. is insanely overrated lol. It's also annoying how people pretend that show is the first to do anything in the series.
@Anthony Garcia well they were the first and I don't think it's annoying, it's just different from the others. It has a good storyline overall for the 2 seasons it was on air and has an antagonist (pericles) throughout the series. I really liked it and it showed who the original mystery Inc was and what they were doing (did have a sad ending though when hot dog water died). But everything else was pretty good.
She is surprisingly, very practical as well. And one thing that is really good is that she is not obsessed with Fred. In fact, she and Shaggy were closer to each other in this version.
Probably because it came out right after Mystery Incorporated and it was a completely different tone. Also the art direction sucks. The writing is good tho
Is it me or does Be Cool Scooby-Doo look like it was animated by Seth McFarline (tell me if I spelled his name wrong) you know the guy that created family guy
I came here because someone said that this show was 100x better than that awful Velma show, and that everyone should owe Be Cool Scooby-Doo an apology for all the hate that it got... And now I'm considering watching this show bc it's so stupid funny xD
Now i feel like a scoundrel who drove away an annoying but kind and naive child in the form of Be Cool Scooby Doo and evil and disgusting monster in the form Velma came to replace this Child
Velma is like the new Saints Row game Everyone hated the new one and went back to the "previous" worst game in the series and said "Not actually that bad... Better than the new one at least."
Honestly l, the only thing that probably made this show bad is the artstyle. If it just didn't look like a family guy gag, it would maybe be better regarded
I was skeptical at first when it came out but after the first episode I was obsessed with this show. The humor was just my tea and I loved all of the gang equally (Daphne became my girl). I wish people appreciated this just as much as Mystery Incorporated after "Velma" came out...oof.
He does, in other incarnations he barely made a sound or started every word with r. Even in the original, other than his catchphrase, he just made noises. And in Mystery Inc he was a background character.
I honestly think that the only reason the show got a bad rep is because people judged it too harshly after seeing the artwork and considering that this show followed Mystery Inc., fans kinda had big expectations for the next reiteration of Scooby Doo.
Definitley not the best installment of Scooby-Doo. But it's sure as hell MUCH better than Velma. Plus at least we also get anime voice actors appearing here!
Me watching ‘Be Cool Scooby Doo’: “THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST SCOOBY DOO SERIES’ IN EXISTENCE!” Me watching ‘Be Cool Scooby Doo’ after watching ‘Velma’: *“I realize now just how wrong I was about you, I ask not for forgiveness but atonement, what can I do to make these wrongs right once more?”*
@@thehyperion5333 I plan on watching all of it, from what impression I get here, the humor is very solid, much better than all 4 Velma episodes so far.
