I wish kids nowadays could experience that. The hours you could spend just trying to figure out what you want to watch. Then trying to rewind it and then it messes up so you have to use your fingers to get it to work again. The memories of it will always be there
Im gunna be honest therees still video store when i was growing up so me and my mamma would ho figure out what to rent at the video store itbwas the best
Yesss!! Roaming the aisles, picking a bunch, and then whittling them down. Meeting other regulars. The "adult" section in the back.... Miss that experience.
Gosh, it's like yesterday I went out with my mom after school and went to blockbuster to get videos and games. Those were the days. When I see this stuff, I feel like a care free kid again! Thank you for this content!
I miss blockbuster. It was always an outing after school on Friday’s or on a Saturday with our Dad or Grandmother. My Grandmother’s first language wasn’t English, so my sister and I got away with renting Chucky and other films we shouldn’t have been watching and if the cover looked innocent enough she didn’t know. Sweet beautiful soul lol ❤❤❤
Friday night’s were so cool because we had the weekend ahead and we rented 2 or 3 movies, judging just by watching the cover. Next door we had a TCBY ice cream store.
The only benefit to the digital experience when it comes to movies now through the internet is you never have to worry about the digital file running out of copies. But everything else about the experience of going to get a movie in a video game that you were going to play for the weekend is something you're never going to get back again
Man, this one got me. We'd rent a single player game and a multiplayer game. Me and my brothers would take turns trying to finish the single player game before we had to return it and when friends would ride their bikes over, we played the multiplayer games. I didn't have many good memories from my childhood, but this one I hold near and dear to my heart.
Its funny that you showed pizza hut for the pizza because where i grew up the block buster was right beside the pizza hut. We would order pur pizza and go next door to blockbuster and rent our movies or if i was lucky i could rent pokemon and a gameboy colour
Except when your dad took you there too late and all the new releases were fine and your had to go through all the other isles trying to find something to watch. There was no way you’d go back empty handed.
Wait your forgetting about Kmart or caldors. Going to Kmart or caldors before blockbuster to get whatever you needed for the sleepover at a friends house and staying up until like 10 or 11 pm and watching movies or playing video games with your friends and everybody had their own sleeping bags and pillows was the best time on the weekends
You know I was definitely born in the wrong generation because I love old technology and things and hate new things( or just don’t really like them) except for my iPad 8th generation because I got that for my birthday
