Be patient with the Lord, the process, and yourself.
We often find it difficult to wait for things to come to us. During this season of Advent, we can also struggle with the feeling that "nothing is happening". During this time, we need to be reminded that God is closer than we think; He is in each moment and in each step...and remember to be patient.

I needed to hear this. I am so dishearten because the devil has sent many people to destroy me on this app simply for asking for prayers. It’s so discouraging. Please pray for me and my children. Prayers are all we need. But No matter what, I face I will continue to trust in Jesus even as I struggle to support myself and my two boys. I will never lose hope. As a single mother things are hard on me. My husband passed years ago I’m alone. I’m overwhelmed at times because both of my children are autistic. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back to the hospital but the mandate is still in place for all workers in hospitals that participate in Medicare and Medicaid must be vaccinated against covid 19. I’m waitressing and I’m so thankful to be working again, but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. But God has protected me and my children. That’s why I refuse to give up on my faith. I know God will provide. HE HAS so FAR. God is real and WITH HIM ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Thank you Jesus.

I read a comment who said he made the dumbest prayer ever made, it was “Lord, give me patience. But hurry please” 😂😂😂 I laughed so hard because I’ve also made that prayer so many times not thinking twice of how incredibly dumb I was. Adoration is my favorite part of the week, I almost feel pure joy.

I am a living witness to the patience imperative. In 1995, after being divorced 20 years, I met the love of my life. God wanted this person for me, I was certain. We married about a year later. Fast forward 25 years, years of repeated sorrows, struggles and betrayal, this love walked out on me saying he never loved me to begin with and in fact, often felt like he couldn't stand me. I am left still loving, still hurting and alone. But I am now listening with patience to the One who does love me unconditionally and will never betray or take for granted my love for Him. Pax vobis.

sending you a hug. my situation is similar in that I am alone too, a widow. you are alone in abandonment. We have a bigger thing in common though, JESUS is our husband. For your Maker is your husband - the Lord Almighty is his name- the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. Isaiah 54:5

The very reason I would run as fast as I could, and I have very bad knees if anyone were to approach me and tell me that they wanted to have a relationship with me they were in love with me and they wanted to marry me. I couldn’t run away fast enough, but I would find a way. I would just simply rather be alone.

Been in the worst season of my life. To honor and respect one who I decided to cherish in my life, separation continues which it seems without the end. I praise God for breaking me down, reconstruct my whole life strategy through my pains and agony. Process prepares, process reveals. I ask God for my deepest desire to be prepared: to love HIM above all things, and love others as I love myself. I chose to believe, I chose to obey, I chose to consecrate myself and I leaned on HIM.

Thank you Fr Mike, really, I think I haven't been patient with me cause most times I compare my life with the life's of saints especially the young ones, or those around my age and most times I get worried at how slow my journey is. Henceforth I'll wait patiently and allow God do His thing.

Felt overwhelmed at Mass today, couldn’t sit or stand still the whole time. 🤷‍♂️ I think watching The Chosen has made my emotional attachment to scripture prayer and worship more intense for better or worse… Never really had emotional reactions in Church before.

When, " The weeds grew", the last time for me it became more like a jungle.😉 How simple it could be because Jesus never complicates things. So much of the time we become our own worst enemy. When all we need is to "Give it to Jesus." BIAY brought me to know, God is here, He alone brought the reality of that home to me. It's not just head knowledge as it has been for so long and I thank Him everyday for the gift of BIAY through Fr. Mike and Jeff Cavins. My circumstances may not have changed much but from when I began on August 1 I know God has been at work and if it was the only thing I learned it was the most important thing that I needed to surrender to and recieve as gift. He is truly here and He is at work here and it is good! "Truly, the Lord is in this place."❤

I love your take on the story of David so much because it makes me think how God always assigns his saints to what seems like stupid or meaningless labor. But in reality, it helps prep them for the kingdom. There's a reason that so many saints were doorkeepers. It's because they are supposed to be a reflection of Christ. And Christ is the door keeper to heaven. So to speak. He's in small things too. It's like that scene from karate kid where the teacher has the kid doing the "Wax on, Wax off" thing. The kid gets mad thinking the master is just taking advantage of him and getting free labor out of him. Till he confronts his master and he shows the boy he's been teaching him the proper forms to begin fighting. And Gods like that too. I trust his pace, and sometimes he makes me wait months. I'm so glad I journal so I can make connections as I go. Also Thank God my Guardian Angel helps me so much because I am super super super stupid sometimes. Like sometimes God will need to do something 3 times or more just cause I need that long to understand what the heck is going on. 😅💖 So sometimes the long wait is my fault. I'm really grateful the Holy Trinity is so patient and has such strong enduring love. Because I know I'm difficult to love and trust sometimes.

Father Mike, right now, I have to be away from home. Because of the war and mobilization. I can't find the job I originally hoped for when I left Russia. And I am waiting and praying that something will happen soon, so that this horror will end, so that I can find a job or return home safely. This is probably really the worst period of my life. Okay so this is so strange after I put up my comment because last night in my evening prayer time after I talked to the Lord I opened up a book and it was a book by Saint Francis Desales and it was exactly the chapter about the weeds growing in our garden to be patient with them as you pull them out and I listen to your entire video and at the end you quoted the same exact message I got last evening so thank you for your answered consolation given for the holiday full of gratitude

No matter how much prayer time I give and it's at least an hour a day. I can never convince myself I'm loved. I wish Jesus would let me know sometimes if I'm pleasing to him. He's telling me to wait!!! Keep coming to my prayer chair and wait...surely wait manfully and I will come. Even at once a week adoration It's just quiet..what am I expecting especially after my past life which is pretty bad.worst then most
